We visited for lunch and couldn't have had a better experience. Super helpful and friendly service and our meals were delicious and generously portioned. Mom had the fried green tomato caprese and I opted for the shrimp poboy. Plan to come back soon! Ok next day update. Came back with another family member. Similar great experience. We had the flounder bites appetizer and the she crab soup. Sat at bar and totally enjoyed. Awesome, friendly, responsive service.

Been coming here for 2 years now. Unbelievable beautiful setting. And terrific menu. Some of the best seafood offerings in ALL of Charleston area. And they actually improved! Had a wonderful jambalaya! Add that to a delicious flounder bites appetizer. Top notch service. Our waiter Becca was attentive, friendly and informative with absolute sincerity. She was absolutely A-1. Live music was superb. Wish I caught the name! Acoustic duet with great originals. Knew the demographics, but didn't pander. This place is a wonderful alternative to the Shem Creek zoo.

Fried food perfection! I love that this place is within walking distance of Credit One Stadium. My…read morehusband and I were able to park outside (for free), have dinner and walk to the stadium for a concert! We sat at the bar and started with mozzarella sticks that were just okay. Then I ordered the chicken finger basket with lemon pepper rub and honey mustard sauce. Everything was great; chicken was seasoned and fried perfectly, fries were crispy and honey mustard was delicious! I would definitely come back here before another event at the stadium :)

We stopped in here on a Sunday night before a concert. It was packed. Although I understand that…read moreevents probably cause this place to get very busy and there's only so much a business can do to accommodate that, what really bothered me was that we stood at the hostess stand for ten minutes before being greeted. Two bartenders looked directly at us and ignored us. Three waitresses walked by at different times and ignored us. It does not take much to say "someone will be with you shortly" or acknowledge a customer in some way. Eventually a waitress told us we could sit anywhere but she didn't have time to clean a table. We sat down at one and it was never cleaned off for us. Mac and cheese bites were decent, French dip sandwich was okay (meat was pretty bland), French fries were good, husband loved his Chicago style Italian beef sandwich. The giardinera had a kick to it. One of our beers tasted like the tap severely needed to be cleaned. It just tasted dirty. Inside feels like a typical sports bar. I think this place had the potential for more stars, but the food was just okay and the service definitely needs improvement.

The menu is small but well-curated, with a focus on charcuterie boards -- both savory and sweet -- plus a few bar snacks like chips and dip. It's the perfect setup for sharing bites while enjoying everything else The Bunker has to offer. There's so much to do here -- fantastic for a work get together or a family event... it has axe throwing and simulated golf to putting greens and interactive darts. We went on a Thursday night for Team Trivia and had an absolute blast! The drinks system is super convenient: you're given a wristband when you had over your credit card & every time you want a drink it's scans the wristband when you pour your own drinks, which adds to the laid-back and social vibe. The space is large yet cozy, and the staff couldn't be kinder or more helpful. There's even a small gift shop with fun local items to browse. Overall, The Bunker is a great mix of games, good food, and friendly people -- an awesome spot to relax, play trivia and check out all the interactive games on offer.

I also love the interior color used, as it is warm and relaxing. We like to sit at the booth bars, as they are just 2 tops, but give an added privacy by the design. Lola Rose features a comforting and approachable menu of big, seasonal salads, wood-fired pizzas, housemade pastas, local seafood and traditional mains. At the bar, classic favorites are served alongside creative spritzes and cocktails, local beer, and a wine list that focuses on Mediterranean and coastal American winemakers. Plus Lola Rose is the second concept from James Beard award-nominated chef Kevin Johnson and his wife Susan, who opened The Grocery in downtown Charleston in 2011. We have had the pleasure of seeing him in action and he is always approachable to the guests. We have visited Lola Rose several times and enjoyed many menu items. The rosemary focaccia is always a must order. Other great starters are the arancini, Sicilian meatballs, and our favorite is the roasted beets. Another great option to start is with a pizza, they have 9 different pizzas to choose from. Then an appropriate entree would be a pasta dish, we like the rigatoni verde and the bucatini. Note their pastas are all made in house. On our most recent visit we ordered the seasonal Softshell Crab special, and it was impressive and more delicious then expected. We appreciate that they had this item during the softie season, and this tops our list. Don't forget dessert as the budino and limencello cake are delicious sweet endings. Lola Rose makes going to downtown Charleston un-necessary, and it's location is easy to get to with plenty of parking. The service and the menu make it worth the visit, and we would recommend to all.

The manager also seems to recognize us every time we come in, no matter how long it's been since our last visit, which is a nice personal touch. The open kitchen adds a fun element to the experience. One of our favorites is the orecchiette ragu pasta -- we always ask for extra sauce, and it's absolutely delightful. We were a little disappointed that the calamari wasn't available on this visit, but we still really enjoyed the arancini, which are served with a wonderful tomato dipping sauce. We've honestly never had a bad meal here. My husband tried the shrimp pasta dish this time and really enjoyed it -- it had a nice little bit of spice that added great flavor without being overpowering. Overall, the fresh pastas, pizzas, and appetizers are all great choices. They also offer a fun happy hour with discounted appetizers and drinks. Definitely a place worth stopping into, and next time we're hoping to enjoy the outside patio when the weather is a little warmer.
