My husband and I decided to try out this restaurant on our day out and see what it was all about. We wanted the brisket and the oxtail but they didn't have any so we tried the salmon and the jerk chicken which was flavorful. We met the chef as he came to our table to say hi which was nice of him. The rice and peas could have used some more flavor but other than that we would like to go back when hopefully they have the oxtail and brisket.

Absolutely phenomenal. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Chef Vernon delivers flavor in every single dish. The jerk chicken is perfectly seasoned with just the right kick, the oxtail is tender and rich, and the salmon with rice is cooked to perfection. The she-crab soup is outstanding...creamy and savory. The service is just as amazing as the food--Rosemary was friendly, attentive, and truly welcoming from start to finish. It's clear they care about their guests. On top of all that, they have an impressive wine and beer selection that pairs beautifully with the menu. If you're craving soulful, unforgettable food with great drinks and top-notch service, this is the place. Five stars all the way!

What a delightful meal! We really enjoyed Chef Vernon's culinary expertise. Last night we decided to try something new and we were so glad that we did. Chef Vernon's Table was the perfect place for fresh, homecooked quality. I ordered the Braised Brisket and it was so good that I would describe it as serendipitous! The meat melted in my mouth, the mashed potatoes were creamy, and the sauteed vegetables with cooked perfectly so they still retained a slight crunch. My husband ordered the burger with mushrooms and cheese which was also delicious but the brisket was "to die for". This restaurant belongs in Moncks Corner because we do not have anything else like it. We needed this! Please visit. I will be back and I intend to try something new every time I go. Chef Vernon also came out of the kitchen to greet us and that was a delightful surprise as well.

Lamb Chops w/ Coconut Rice, Vegetables, and Plantains. So Good!!!

I'm an Over The Road Truck Driver and every time I'm in the area, I have to swing in for one awesome meal. The Waitstaff is always welcoming and friendly. The Lamb Chops are my favorite and the SheCrab Soup is awesome too.

What can i say--THIS ONE IS A DON'T MISS The best she crab soup around.. Better than "H-chop House. This one has a smooth creamy delicate texture and LOADS of crab meat... and a flavor that says i'll be back for more. I had the oxtail , which was fall off the bone, and more than i could finish. The coconut rise with beans were tasty and not too "BEANY" The wife had lamb chops (5) and she also wants to come back again. As a professional in restaurant sanitation, everything was spotless from the glasses to the silverware. Even though they did not read my book , they were doing everything listed in it... Hats off to the Chef. I , for one , will not eat in a restaurant with dirty silverware. This place is very clean. I will be back and i urge you to try it also. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a warm, welcoming staff and an atmosphere that feels both relaxed and elevated--casual enough to enjoy comfortably, yet clearly driven by culinary passion and quality. The food is exceptional. The truffle short rib pizza is a standout and truly unforgettable. The short rib is tender, rich, and deeply flavorful, perfectly complemented by the earthy truffle notes without being overpowering. The crust is expertly done--crispy on the outside with just the right chew--clearly the result of skill and attention to detail. Knowing that the ingredients are made in-house only adds to the appreciation; every bite tastes intentional, fresh, and thoughtfully crafted. The cheesesteak egg rolls are another must-have. Crispy on the outside, generously filled, and bursting with savory flavor, they strike the perfect balance between comfort food and elevated appetizer. Dipping them into the spicy ketchup takes them to the next level, adding just the right amount of heat and tang to round everything out. Service truly elevates the experience. Dasha was fantastic--attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making sure everything was perfect without ever feeling intrusive. She keeps recommending items and pairings which made the interaction very entertaining. Her attentiveness and making sure service was top tier was met with perfection! Meeting the owner was a highlight as well. Learning that he was trained internationally within Michelin-star restaurants explains the level of execution and creativity on the menu. That high-level training clearly translates into the food, while still maintaining an approachable, community-focused vibe. You can tell when someone loves what they do especially as a chef because you can taste it in their food. Overall, Fireside Pizza is doing something special in Moncks Corner--combining top-tier culinary technique, house-made ingredients, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Tucked away in a little corner beside the KFC, this hidden gem is so worth a revisit for the whipped ricotta and fried dough. This is easily a five-star experience and a place that deserves repeat visits. Highly recommended.

Overall, it ended up being one of those meals that was perfectly fine--nothing bad, but nothing that really wowed us either. We started with the Brussel Sprouts, which were definitely the highlight. Nicely cooked, flavorful, and a great way to kick things off. We shared a Margherita pizza that was just okay--good enough, but a little forgettable compared to other spots around town. The Sicily salad was next, and if you're a salad person, you'll probably enjoy this one. It was fresh, well balanced, and one of the more satisfying dishes we tried. We also ordered the Drunk Cutlet sandwich. The flavors were there, but the cutlet itself was super thin, so it felt a little underwhelming for the size of the bread. The short rib bolognese was solid--comforting and hearty, though not something I'd rush back specifically for. All in all, Fireside is a decent neighborhood spot for a quick, easy meal. It didn't blow us away, but it's a reliable option when you want a casual bite without much fuss.

It's really just the big glass light sculpture over the bar that reminds me of a Chihuly art. We started with some queso with chorizo and the free chips and salsa. I had a soda and my brother got a margarita. For entrees we had the chicken and shrimp fajitas and the enchiladas. Everything was good, but pretty standard. The reason I mention that is because the bill after tax and tip was over $80 which I had a little sticker shock over. I know they are trying to be a nicer option and food costs have gone up, but that seemed pretty high for what we got. During the meal, our service was excellent... so much so that we noticed and commented on how on point our server was. My brother mentioned that he hoped she didn't screw it up by being nowhere to be found when the meal was done and that's exactly what happened. I think she may have actually left the building because we never saw her again. Eventually we got someone else to get a togo box and get the check. For that kind of money, I expected better.

Upon my arrival, I entered the building via the outward opening door centrally located on the D-side of the building. I moved directly to the point of sale, was met by Sheryl, and ordered a classic meal adequately described as containing 4 chicken fingers, fries, and a fountain drink. I chose honey barbecue as my tossin' sauce as well as my dippin' sauce. I located a two top and took a seat. A few moments later, my meal was delivered. The tenders were wonderfully moist and perfectly fried. There was not an excess of sauce. The fries were crunchy outside, soft inside. The drink was Cherry Coke. I went back for a $7.76 banana pudding. It came in a branded mason type jar with lid, so it was worth it. It tasted wonderful. The staff were just as amazing as the food. I was disappointed, however, at a lack of memorabilia of Son House or Robert Johnson. Nothing from Greenwood or Clarksdale, MS. No Highway 49 or Highway 61 references. Thankfully, I also found no indications of large black dogs, just amazing food. No photos/video. End of Report.
