We love Newks for a quick lunch, especially after church. The nuke's favorite salad is my favorite. It is always delicious, the chicken is always tender, and the flavor is amazing. My husband usually gets the pizza and soup, which is equally yummy! Everyone that works there, from the cashiers that take your orders to the people that deliver your food are so kind. We always have excellent service. The managers walk around to make sure you have everything you need. This is our usual go to after church at least once a month. You can typically find something good in the soup of the day and either a sandwich or a full size personal Pizza. My kids typically get the kids menu which they seem to have finally got a good portion size for the kids. My wife goes for one of their signature salads which always seems to satisfy with even some to bring home. Their level of customer service is typically an 8 out of 10 because they are very helpful but just need to put a smile on those faces LOL. We stopped at Newk's Statesboro, Ga. location shortly after it opened. We ordered soup & a sandwich. The soup was loaded potato, & it was good (albeit somewhat bland). My sandwich a turkey avocado, mainly because I love avocados! The avocado on my sandwich was a week away from being ripe enough to consume! It literally was akin to eating a slice of hard green wax! Fast and pretty affordable for a large family to eat. The food comes out quickly and they can accommodate changes to an order like not having nuts in a salad or subbing a type of cheese or dressing. The Newks q is a super unique sandwich and is really good. My Cobb salad was very generous with blue cheese and all of the additions to the salad. My only concern was that it was not super clean with empty plates from previous families still on the table. I come here every time I am in town visiting my parents. Food is made to order and there are plenty of menu options to choose from. They offer soup, salad, sandwiches, and pizzas. You can get a combo with a soup and salad, sandwich and salad or soup, or a whole sandwich with your choice of side. Sides are chips, fruit cup, pasta salad, or coleslaw. We usually get sandwiches and the bread is always perfectly soft, but still has a bite to it. The salads are great here too! They have fountain soda as well as fresh brewed sweet and unsweet tea with free refills. Plenty of seating inside or take it to go! My husband and I visited for lunch on Saturday. Upon entering we were greeted by the manager. We walked right up to the counter and was able to order. I had not visited Newks in years. I really wanted soup since they had a food variety of flavors, but it was just so hot outside. I also felt like it was hot in the restaurant. Upon sitting down to wait for our food, it was hot in there and almost felt like the A/C was not working. It was really stuffy. I ordered the chicken, bacon, and swiss. The chicken was dry, glad there was honey mustard for the sandwich. I just got chips as my side. Visit was ok, but did not scream I have to come back. I did appreciate the clean bathroom and there was an employee bussing the tables and cleaning them in betwen customers. Every time I have ever asked anyone about this place they always say I had their food and catering. They must be a monster in the catering world.
