Please be careful of this place. I placed a call before I went in to double check the pricing. He quoted $50 total including the smog certificate. However, after the service was completed, an employee stated the total did NOT include the smog certificate. I didn't want to argue with him and paid it. However, this is a warning to all that this is not an honest place. I don't appreciate the bait and switch - this is not an ethical way to do business. The business owner's response is absolutely unprofessional and his behavior exemplifies why we need to avoid this business. Calling customers as having hearing problems, cheap and ungrateful. I should be grateful because I used a yelp discount you advertised on yelp? I merely posted this as a PSA to warn others to double check the pricing before they start work at your place since the quoted price was different on the phone. My renewal came up again this year and this time, I got the dreaded SMOG Certification Required on mine. We normally take the car over to ACG Smog Check over in Covina but we were dismayed that it was closed due to COVID. Luckily we found this spot conveniently next to a bunch of other auto repair shops. We did not have any appointment, but luckily the wait was not very long. Mr. Chen, the proprietor, is not a man of many words but he was very warm and smiled nonetheless. He was able to complete the smog check in approximately 20 minutes. The smog check certification is sent directly to the DMV and we were able to get our sticker the same day. Price is a little bit higher than what we are used to (by approximately $10) but the fact that he is local and could see us in short notice was worth the price difference. read more

Yesterday (2/15/24) I went to this center to get a smog check for my van. I was the first customer there, and the owner was very prompt in taking in my car to be checked. The service was fast and done very well. Also, the owner was very good to explain to us about what to expect and understand regarding the timing of the smog results, if we planned to register our van online versus via mail. (If you're planning to register online with the DMV, just know that it'll take about a day for the smog results for your car to show up properly in the system.) The owner was also great in accepting the Yelp discount for $10 when I asked about it. Overall, I very much appreciated the service that I received at this station.
