Went in early this morning for a smog check. This was actually my first time ever getting one, so I'm not super familiar with pricing, but the cost felt fair and affordable to me. There were two technicians working when we went. Their waiting area was occupied and so we decided to wait outside instead of the small waiting area. Their techs spoke Spanish amongst themselves the entire time. I guess my tech assumed I didn't understand what he was saying. He told the other tech that we were ridiculous to watch him because he wasn't going to steal anything. Well, I never thought about that until he mentioned it. I honestly just wanted him to finish so that I can be on my way. I was staring at my car sitting in the stall not doing anything and wondered why I was still there. Another car that came in later was finished first. I told him that I heard and understood what he said. This drive-thru smog check is pretty convenient. They are one of the few Star Certified smog check stations open on Sunday in the area. You can wait in your car in line until it is your turn. Once it is your turn, they will direct you to which spot to park at. Once they start the smog check they have you sit by the front desk where you will pay. They take cash but prefer card since they don't have a lot of change available. The smog check itself was probably about 15-20 minutes per car. read more

As long as you request a quote through Yelp will the $39.75 price be honored. The times I have gone they always ask for proof of the conversation. I gave it four stars because if you don't show proof they try to charge you full price. That happened to me once because the employee did not ask for proof. I recommended this location to my son because of my good experience. However, when my son went his car didn't pass. He took care of all the maintenance suggested by the person who helped him. When he returned, a different man was there and refused to retest the car!! He said to come back on Sunday when the original worker would be there. My son explained that Sunday would be outside of the 30 days allowed to get a retest. The man was very rude!! He refused to retest the car even when my son showed and explained the repairs he had done. If you have an older car, don't go there. I wish he had gotten the name of the guy who refused to test it. I'd let the owner know. He was possibly Filipino with his hair slicked back in case the owner reads this. read more
