My husband took his car for smog check for the first time recently recommended by our all time favorite mechanic guy, Michael at Colima Auto Repair. He had great experience there and shortly after I also received a notice for smog check for my car. I went there and one of the guys there noticed and greeted me. It took about 15 mins since no car was in front of me. With cash,$49 or with card, $51. Very fair pricing. Great and fast service. And all of the guys there were friendly and working very efficiently. After me, couple more people came in, but their cars started to be checked right away from where they were parked. We live about 20 mins away but will come back here from now on for sure and send more people here too! Thank you so much for your hard work. read more

Other shop will charge you $60-$100. Very highly recommend to go with this shop! Good job to Sam and Frank! read more

Smog Center Test Only - Sam is the best smog guy in town - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Rowland Heights, California

Reasonable price, certificate including in the price, nice service and quick, I will recommend to peoples around me

Alfonso is fast respectful and overall pleasant man to talk to. Got two cars done no issues

Call in before you go in to see if there's anyone ahead or waiting. Cost is $39 Dollars cash or 40 Dollars out the door with a debit card. ( I have a V8, so engine size shouldn't matter) Make sure you don't have a check engine light on before you go. This place is quick, simple, and cheap. What more do you want from a Smog Test Center ? After doing some research, I found that going to a Smog TEST ONLY center is usually better than going to a place that also does repair, only because a shop that does Tests only aren't trying to have you fail because they don't deal with the repairs needed for you to pass. So if you suspect your vehicle should have no issues passing, I would recommend going to a Test Only center like this one. There is nothing fancy with this place, so don't expect a fancy lush waiting room. It's bare bones and small but for a 15 minute smog check at the cheapest you can find. Why complain? read more

Smog Center Test Only - Back wheel spinning. - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Rowland Heights, California

It's that time of the year when when I get my DMV car registration renewal notice and I groan because I see "SMOG TEST" required as part of my registration. Was running around town and had 30 minutes between meetings so I decided to use Yelp to help me locate a test center near me. Found this "Test Only Center" behind the Arco carwash on Nogalas and Walnut. Right near the 60 freeway. The test center is toward the back of the center, and I was in and out of the place in less than 20 minutes. I have a 2006 Toyota, and they charged me $39 for the smog test (including certification). Credit Card is available but they have a $1 surcharge. Overall, it was a fast and painless experience. read more

First time getting a smog check, came here and they were super friendly people and would definitely come back in the future :)

I was looking for a honest, inexpensive, hassle-free shop to take my 99' Nissan Quest to. Read Yelp reviews and decided to give this place a try. And it turned out to be the one. It is located right off 60 freeway Nogales Exit. Took me about 5 minutes to locate it, but recognize the sign immediately when I saw it. The owner Leslie was friendly and knowledgeable. He took my car and had his employee start smog checking it immediately. During the process, I waited in his 1950's vintage looking office. Quite stylish i have to say. And he advise me to always call ahead, compare price, and be clear about what is being done to my car to prevent getting ripped off by greedy mechanics. Afterwards, when we got the results back, he explained to me what some of the numbers mean and the result was sent to DMV automatically. Overall, the process took only 20 minutes. And total price was $41. ( $1 for charging on card). Highly recommend for smog checks :) read more

This place is great! They check the vehicle first to make sure it passes physical inspection before they run the smog test. They won't smog test the vehicle and charge you for not passing if it doesn't pass the physical inspection. Many other places will perform the smog test anyways (failing the physical inspection) and fail you making you to come back and pay an additional fee. Sam is a super nice guy. Place is a little hard to find being in the rear of the buildings, but I was in and out real quick. read more

$39 out the door for smog test + paperwork! Can't get any cheaper than that! Will take my car here again. This is no fuss, no frill. But than again you're there only for 20mins while they test your car. Btw, this rate was for a 2000 BMW 3series read more

Highly recommended! I'd suggest calling to make sure that they'll be okay with taking in customers that day though because their machine was down on a day that I was planning to go. $39.00 smog check and 1$ more for charging card. Awesome price since other places charge 50-55$. Finding it may be a little tricky. Stay on gale and pull into the garage area behind the car wash. They are at the end. If you pull your car up to the tiny parking area at the end of the garages, the employee will come out to speak to you and find out what you need. The office has a sofa, chairs, and a tv to make your wait more bearable. But the whole process took no more than 20 minutes, so there was virtually no real waiting involved if no one's ahead of you. The best time to go would probably be on weekdays before 5pm. Win win! read more

I don't know what to say. Even though there are many great reviews about this place. But I called them and let them know my car model. They told me the price for smug check was $29. When my bf went there 40 mins after the call. They charged my car $49 for the smug test:::: not very honest with their price. Very very upset. read more

Took two cars here for smog check. Done quickly and at an excellent price. No issues with this place so will come back in the future.

Great service and ask for SAM. He's the man and funny guy!! Thanks for your service!!

First time here and needed to do a smog check right away, and I have got to say the service was great! I found this place on yelp and it was down the street from my work so I saw the reviews say it only takes about 20 minutes so I stopped by. Once I got there Frank and the other guy was real friendly but told me, San the technician, was on lunch and would be back in five minutes. So I waited but he didn't come back yet so Frank decides to call Sam and Sam rushes back from his lunch to do the check. Sam gets back does his thing and I'm out the door in 20 minutes. $45 and the best damn service I ever had from a shop. Real honest guys so if you want them to just pass you, move onto another shop. They aren't that kind of business and don't plan on being one either. read more

I called ahead and asked for the price. He offered $40 for everything (certification and the test). Took only 20 minutes. Fast, easy for my 2003 Infiniti. I like! read more

needed a smog check and found this place on yelp pros: - cheap! $40 - no appointments needed. first come, first serve - quick! in and out in about 15 mins. - he does take CC cons: - a little confusing to find for me. it's in the area next to the carwash. but it's a few garages down, with a very simple banner hanging on top of one open garages saying "test center." i accidentally pulled up to the mechanic in the front, but he pointed me to it a few garages down. - the "waiting area" was basically a few folding chairs inside his hot garage. but who cares, you were only sitting there for 15mins. would i come again? for my next smog check sure! read more

My 1999 Toyota Sienna needs a Test Only Smog Check for DMV renewal. I checked around and everywhere is quoting me around $58 because cars over 10 years cost more. When I called this place up and spoke with Sam, I was quoted $39 out the door. Although another place (Smog Depot Test Only in Whittier per Abo) quoted me a great price of $38, I chose Test Only Center in Rowland Heights over the Whittier Center because it's closer to my house! This place is conveniently located at the corner of Nogales and Walnut Drive behind a car wash place. Both the owner and the technician (Sam) are very friendly! It took Sam less than 15 minutes to get the job done! I highly recommend this place for Test Only Smog Check if you live in Hacienda/Rowland Heights or Walnut area! read more

Located 200 feet away from westbound 60 freeway offramp in the Arco AM/PM and car wash towards the back. Got us in within 5 minutes of speaking with gentlemen. Total in all took about 30 minutes. Waiting area very small but if you don't like it you can alway go shopping at the Arco or 99 Ranch Market across the way. read more

Smog Center Test Only - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Rowland Heights, California

Its taken me a few days to get here and leave a review- but late is better then never. I recently went to this location for a smog check(including certificate) and right away was greeted by a very kind and older gentlemen Francisco, with a very vibrant and down to earth personality. Right away we sparked conversation about our cultures and family- he was definitely the highlight of my day that day. The smog check was fast and efficient and thankfully passed. I would definitely recommend this location to everyone wether its near or far to stop by and get their car tested not only because the quality- but the owner alone makes you feel at home. Stay young and a wonderful delight Francisco. read more

So I was searching for a test only smog check place close to my house & came upon this place. Read the positive reviews & decided to give this place a try. I took my car in for it's bi-annual smog check. Since my car needed 2 tests they said it would cost $60 BUT since I told them I found them on Yelp they told me they would do it all for $40 out the door. Score! Since I had been calling other places & the cheapest I found was $59. Okay, so they tested my car & it failed! Boo! But thank goodness it was just some minor hoses & sensors that needed to be changed. I took my car to the shop got it fixed & went back the same day for the free re-test they offer within 10 days. Tested it again & it passed. Yes! The owner & the technician were really nice. I will definitely come back :) read more

The best place to get a smog test. Right next to my favorite recycling place. Drive all the way to the last building in the row. Greeted right away and was out in less than 30 minutes. Price is reasonable too. Service was quick and friendly. read more

Small shop, not that easy to find at the spot of the complex. Seems likable alone man shop. In fact when I was there the owner was talking to his buddy, another business owner in the same complex the whole time. Nevertheless he got the job done and I passed and got the smog cert. I was going to go to a different place but it was busy so I came here. Nice guy. Gets the job done at a fair price. read more

Went here because of good reviews on Yelp, and I was satisfied with my visit. It took about 20 minutes and I passed everything except the visual inspection, but the fault is mine since I have aftermarket parts. It was $40 for me and it will be another $10 to come back and pass the visual inspection for my Rsx-s. Both of the workers were kind to me and shooed me inside the office with ac instead of waiting under the hot sun. On that note, I gave this place 4 stars for requiring a c.a.r.b. sticker on my aem intake even though it is listed as legal under federal documents. This place will not pass the visual inspection without the sticker. Though it is customary, other smog test centers can and might pass you because they know it is legal. Just a word of caution to those who have modified intakes. read more

Had several locations to choose from and decided to go to this place. Sam was very cordial and also went as far as helping me out with other items I needed for my car. Was kind enough to refer me to a tire place and so glad I came. $45 dollars for my smog and was quick! Highly recommend this place and you won't regret it. Hidden in the back make sure you stop by! Thanks again Sam! read more

The service is quick and there are chairs if you have to wait. It seemed liked the cheapest option around--just $40 without a coupon or anything. I would say call ahead before to make sure he's there. I drove by once during what yelp said were the hours but no one was there. read more

Quick and cheap. Much better than the other businesses in the hacienda/rowland area.

30 minutes from the time I parked. And only because I was 2nd in line. Very impressive. $49.00 now and cash only. The cash only cost them a star. read more

I had a little trouble locating the place but Leslie flagged me down and told me it was okay to leave my car near the front of his shop. It's easy to miss this shop and confuse it with one down the street. It took about 30 minutes from entry to exit. The technician pointed out something that was irrelevant to the smog test and suggested I get it looked at and fixed before something serious happens. A honest business run by honest people. read more
