I called Mitch after hours because my dog had peed on an expensive rug (of my grandparents) and he called back within the hour and was able to come out the following day. He thoroughly cleaned the area multiple times and then left additional cleaner and a fan (picked up the following day) to help lift the stain out. ON TOP OF IT ALL, he also gave me homemade zucchini bread (comes with the cleaning apparently ) which was amazing!! Fair pricing and an overall great man. He also offered to come back in a week and clean it again / help move the rug if needed. I would recommend him to anyone and will definitely use him again! This review is long overdue! We have been using Walnut Creek Carpet Care for about 7 years now. When they first came about 7 years ago: - On time (to the minute!) - Took extra care in set up and was very respectful of our home (previous company we used destroyed 2 plants in the front yard) - Used corner guards (again, previous companies did not bother) - Gave us little booties since we had to go back on the carpet before it dried - Gave tips on carpet care to extend the life of the carpet - Carpets dried quickly - VERY reasonable pricing (clearly I was being robbed by the previous company.....sigh) which means we have them every six months just to keep things super clean & fresh I wish I had taken before/after pictures. Seriously, they were MIRACLE workers! Our carpet was light cream color and 17 years old at that point and I thought we needed to replace (kids/dog/life). Here were are 7 years later with the same carpet thanks to Walnut Creek Carpet Care! 24 years and it still looks good. But now I do want new carpet (not need), well, because, 24 years :) Over the years we have had a couple of emergencies and WCCC did everything that they could to work us in and accommodate. Once was because our dog got sick and was rushed to the Vet Hospital.......WCCC was booked, but made a special trip during their lunch hour the next day. We have had WCCC recently and they come masked and following protocols. I can't forget the Zucchini Bread! You get a loaf of zucchini bread made by his wife! Sliced and lightly toasted in the toaster oven, slathered with Kerry Gold butter.......EPIC! My husband teases and says "Can you get us some zucchini bread and get the carpets cleaned too?" Mitch & his team are a very special crew - besides quality work, they are very kind & compassionate....and loves dogs. The world could use more people like Mitch. read more

Very friendly and easy to schedule. But the zucchini bread was better than the carpet cleaning job. Our bedroom carpet is riddled with chihuahua urine (after 10+ years the dog just doesn't get it) and is very hard clean. We get the room cleaned at least 3 times a year, but this one time my usual company couldn't get me in as soon as I wanted, so I used WCCC. They did an ok job but didn't get all the spots. It was a bit cheaper, but not worth it. I just had my usual carpet cleaner come (some months later) and they got the spots WCCC didn't get. My husband said "that was the most expensive zucchini bread ever"- he was correct. wow- guess they didn't care for my honest review- this is the reply from mitch the owner via yelp email! "Sorry we couldn't remove 10 years of dog urine stains. Glad A&H could. Perhaps you should train your dog .." Agree 100% on training the dog and have worked with professionals to no avail unless i crate him 100% of the time or keep him by my side- which i try to do. And it's not 10 years of stains- have not lived here but just a few. but very snarky of ya mitch! Oh, and it wasn't A&H- it was H&L Chem dry in Walnut Creek, and I didn't mention them on my my original review out of respect- but you've lost that by your rude message to me. Decided it was time after all the home improvement projects at my home to clean my upstairs carpet. requested for quote through yelp and got about a dozen. went through those quotes and called Walnut creek carpet care. the person who attended the call was quick to the quote and no BS. Made an appointment and on the day they showed up on time with this awesome tasting fresh Zucchini bread. cant tell how much my kids and family loved that bread, but this review is not about the bread as that definitely gets 5 stars the Work was done well, they were on time and got setup right away. the stairs was not on the quote (as I replacing the carpet on my stairs) but they still did it. They also cleaned my rug. They left their number for us to call back if we had any concerns and we did with a request. they where prompt to come back next day and take care of that concern. so why 4 and not 5 star. I was not wowed by the Before and After cleaned carpet, felt that they could have done better a notch. This could also be because we keep our carpet clean by vacuuming every week. However for the price, service, and amazing zucchini bread you should give them an opportunity. read more
