We have been using NCC for years but not in the past few years. Our carpets needed to be cleaned. John was able to make a reservation the same week that I called, arrived a 1/2 hour early and got right to work. I had forgotten how efficient, nice and thorough he was. He explained the product that he was using was nontoxic to pets and made sure that our cat wouldn't escape during the cleaning process. He was done in no time and our carpets look terrific. I called John on a Monday morning with several questions about carpet cleaning etc. He was quick to answer all of my questions and I scheduled him the following day at 4pm. John showed up early and he was ready to get after it. I had several bad stains in my carpet due to my dog using it as his personal toilet. Not only did he do a fabulous job cleaning my carpets but he was very knowledgeable, very reasonable and actually went above and beyond what he originally had come out to do. This man is amazing. My carpets look new. There were red wine stains in the living room with a few old cat pee stains. Other carpet cleaners including Coit said they couldn't do anything about those. Also I have a new cream carpet in the bedroom that I just spilled a good amount of coffee on. That was a mess. It sat there for 3 days and I thought carpet was ruined. I had tried to Clean it up but just made it worse. John had no problem getting out the old wine and cat pee stains in front room. And he came back a second time to finish up getting the coffee stain out. He did not charge extra for this. I am so grateful. read more

Great work! Great price! Very professional and easy to work with. We bought our very first house (yay!!) and it was just two years old, but it showed some dirt in the high traffic areas, especially the stairs that lead from the main level (2nd floor) down to the ground level (garage/garbage cans) where some drips had occurred probably from taking out the trash. In addition there were some spots in the kids room, as is pretty normal for a kids room. John got everything out and the carpets looked like they were on day 1 when we moved in. It was so great! John even advised us on how best to use carpet covering adhesive stuff (to protect the floors during the move-in). I highly recommend! read more

Wow! John just left my house and I couldn't be happier! With a new puppy in the house, and two years without cleaning the carpets, let's just say that my carpet was needing some love. That's exactly what John gave it. I was thinking about getting new carpet, but after this cleaning, I don't think that's going to be necessary. John is prompt, flexible, professional, knowledgeable and passionate about his work. To top it off he is a REALLY nice guy! To start off, I was very pleased with the price. I can tell he is an honest guy who won't charge a penny more than necessary. His service was excellent, he thought to bring his own rug for the bottom of the stairs, he protected my walls from his hoses, and even gave us some booties so we can walk on the carpet. I also had two very large area rugs that I was going to throw out due to urine stains from the puppy, but he was happy to do both of those for just a minimal extra charge. Called NCC and was called back in a timely manner. John scheduled within a couple of days. My carpets are 30 to 40 years old and tan. We have had them cleaned lots of times, but not every year, and within 2 weeks of cleaning they always look just about the same - grungy. This time it was different. The heavily-trodden areas, hallway and from kitchen to family room, have STAYED cleaner after 3 weeks than they ever have before! Not perfect, but they are medium shag and OLD, and I'm well satisfied with a very slightly darker tan. The day before the cleaning day I vacuumed everything 3 times. I always do that, with my good Shark vacuum. And I marked stained spots, some not so visible. It mostly dried in a day (we kept fans on for 2 days to be sure), price was what was quoted when I first called, efficient, and good explanations. He also suggested TuffStuff for dong my own car upholstery cleaning. Haven't tried it yet, but it has great reviews. John/Northgate Carpet Care is my choice, and I'll bet yours, if you try him.
