We have been using NCC for years but not in the past few years. Our carpets needed to be cleaned. John was able to make a reservation the same week that I called, arrived a 1/2 hour early and got right to work. I had forgotten how efficient, nice and thorough he was. He explained the product that he was using was nontoxic to pets and made sure that our cat wouldn't escape during the cleaning process. He was done in no time and our carpets look terrific. It was no surprise that he has so many 5 star ratings. He's great! read more

I used couple of carpet cleaners, John is definitely the top one, not one of the tops! The others just simply can not match John's service. John is very knowledgeable and solution-oriented, doing professional and diligent work, and he also charged very reasonably. I called John on a Monday morning with several questions about carpet cleaning etc. He was quick to answer all of my questions and I scheduled him the following day at 4pm. John showed up early and he was ready to get after it. I had several bad stains in my carpet due to my dog using it as his personal toilet. John got the stains out no problem and the carpet looked as good as new. He also tackled the stairs like a champ. I will be using him again! read more

John was great on so many levels. Not only did he do a fabulous job cleaning my carpets but he was very knowledgeable, very reasonable and actually went above and beyond what he originally had come out to do. He removed an isolated stain and then vacuumed the entire hallway for me. He arrived on time and took a lot of care to put barriers out so that his hoses didn't damage walls or furniture. I would definitely recommend him if you need a quality carpet cleaner. read more

John is great he has done my home and several of my clients/rentals. He is on time, communicates and is a fair price.

My dog decided to train for the mud Olympics in the house and, as luck would have it, we were having guests over at the end of the week. I'd never worked with John (owner of Northgate Carpet Care) before, but he came highly recommended from a friend that worked in Walnut Creek. In addition to being punctual, John was fantastic to work with, did an excellent job removing ALL the stains, and gave me a huge discount to boot. Now that the dog has developed a penchant for dancing in the rain, I'm definitely going to be calling for John's help as a repeat customer. Overall - great service, timeliness, and price. I couldn't ask for more and would highly recommend Northgate to anyone that needs their carpets thoroughly cleaned and face a tight schedule. read more

This man is amazing. My carpets look new. There were red wine stains in the living room with a few old cat pee stains. Other carpet cleaners including Coit said they couldn't do anything about those. Also I have a new cream carpet in the bedroom that I just spilled a good amount of coffee on. That was a mess. It sat there for 3 days and I thought carpet was ruined. I had tried to Clean it up but just made it worse. John had no problem getting out the old wine and cat pee stains in front room. And he came back a second time to finish up getting the coffee stain out. He did not charge extra for this. I am so grateful. read more

Excellent service, friendly and professional, and cleaned multiple stains from my apartment carpet without any hassle. Highly recommend.

Great work! Great price! Very professional and easy to work with. We bought our very first house (yay!!) and it was just two years old, but it showed some dirt in the high traffic areas, especially the stairs that lead from the main level (2nd floor) down to the ground level (garage/garbage cans) where some drips had occurred probably from taking out the trash. In addition there were some spots in the kids room, as is pretty normal for a kids room. John got everything out and the carpets looked like they were on day 1 when we moved in. It was so great! John even advised us on how best to use carpet covering adhesive stuff (to protect the floors during the move-in). I highly recommend! read more

John is always so quick, easy and responsive. I am always amazed by how great the results are (my animals are often unkind to my carpeted floors). Absolutely recommend! read more

We had dog stains on our carpet and he was able to remove every stain without having to use additional harsh chemicals. Wow! John just left my house and I couldn't be happier! With a new puppy in the house, and two years without cleaning the carpets, let's just say that my carpet was needing some love. That's exactly what John gave it. I was thinking about getting new carpet, but after this cleaning, I don't think that's going to be necessary. John is prompt, flexible, professional, knowledgeable and passionate about his work. To top it off he is a REALLY nice guy! To start off, I was very pleased with the price. I can tell he is an honest guy who won't charge a penny more than necessary. His service was excellent, he thought to bring his own rug for the bottom of the stairs, he protected my walls from his hoses, and even gave us some booties so we can walk on the carpet. I also had two very large area rugs that I was going to throw out due to urine stains from the puppy, but he was happy to do both of those for just a minimal extra charge. It's been a long time since I have encountered someone with such fantastic service. I am so happy to have found John and give him my highest recommendation. If you're reading this, stop searching. Give John a call. You won't be sorry! read more
