We recently had laminate flooring installed throughout our entire home. Unfortunately, our experience has been disappointing, primarily due to persistent noise issues. Walking across many areas of the floor produces noticeable sounds, which detract from the comfort of our living space. When we brought this concern to the installer's attention, they dismissed it as "normal." This response left us feeling as though our concerns were not taken seriously, and we are now left with a problem that affects our everyday life. What We Liked * The sales representative at the Danville showroom was very helpful when it came to choosing flooring samples. Their assistance made the selection process easier. * Although the cost was higher than other estimates we received, we chose this company because their measurement process was thorough and detailed. Major Drawbacks * There is consistent noise whenever we walk across the floor in many areas of the house, and the issue has not improved over time. * While the installation was completed, we felt that our concerns were not addressed adequately afterward. * The installer insisted that the noise was "normal" rather than providing a clear solution or inspection plan * When we brought up the noise issue, the installer attempted to fix it by adding more nails to the stairs and applying a solution provided by the manufacturer, but these efforts did not resolve the problem. Later, Brian, the owner of the company, visited our home. He did not introduce himself at the time, and after walking the stairs, he claimed the noise was caused by his ankle. After inspecting the house, he concluded that the noise was "normal" for floating floors and said there was nothing further he could do. * Even though they removed the samples from the showroom and stopped selling the brand installed in our home due to other customer complaints, they still refused to address our ongoing problem. Because the walking noise is so noticeable and our concerns were dismissed as "normal," we cannot recommend this installer. We did the old-school process to get our living room carpet updated: find three well-rated floor vendors, get quotes, have them measure etc. We felt most comfortable with Diablo Flooring, from the in-store rep to the estimator. We just finished our LVP installation with Diablo Flooring. We got quotes from 3 different places for the same space and the same material, and Diablo was the most competitive. Really liked how easy going and approachable the owner Brian is, who provided us the quote. The job itself was performed in the most efficient way possible. It only took 3.5 days to cover 1800 Square feet, including the initial demo of our floors. The installers were very professional, friendly, and were able to offer advice along the way. First the 5 stars review is for the team that installed the hardwood in our house. This is our second time using Diablo Flooring as our hardwood company . We have the same hardwood installed but this time to the second floor. I have to thank Carlos and his team for the whole process . They were great. Removing the carpet is always messy . But they did a great job not making clouds of dust in the air. They remove it in parts, slowly and making sure the dust stays minimal. It seems a minimal concern but when you live in the house during the process means a lot not to breath in a lot of dust. The hardwood looks great, the installation went smooth . The stairs look good, despite the problems we had with the delivery of the transition pieces. Carlos worked around the clock with the material he had on hand to make the stairs look as good as it could. I wish Diablo Flooring would go a little over after the issues we had with the delivery in the first place and order some extra transition pieces but they did not. we had to go ahead and manage the installation with the wood we got. There was no room for any mistake and Carlos again was very good and skilled to do a great job for the stairs . I have no regrets doing business with Diablo Flooring I would use them again . The only thing I wished was that I would talk to them after the project was finished. I did not hear from them ( yet) and there is a while since we finished . I have to thank also to Brian because he responded quickly and got involved In the process to solve the issues we encounter with the supplier . Overall the whole experience was a good one, we like the floor, the whole process was short ( without the delay encountered which was managed and not always on Diablo Flooring hands, we understand that) I recommend Diablo Flooring and if you want a great hardwood installation ask for Carlos. I first had flooring and carpet installed in my Castro Valley home in early 2008. Such a beautiful job! Brian also helped my with getting new granite countertops from San Francisco Granite. Vence did an amazing job too. I was so happy that my house sold quickly with the new upgrades that when I moved to Arnold, CA later that year I asked Brian if he woud come up and give me an estimate for the home I had since 1986 with no upgrades for 15 years. He installed a beautiful wood floor (rustic looking, perfect with the knotty pine ceilings) on main level in entry, kitchen, living area and a bathroom, and wool berber carpet in two bedrooms. Upstairs he installed the same wood flooring in that bathroom and same wool carpet in the loft & master bedroom. Downstairs in Great room he installed same wood floor and in that bathroom as well! The home looked amazing, clean, fresh and updated! He also made two area rugs for me in the wool carpet for the main level living room and the downstairs Great Room. All in All I was so very happy. But as newly widowed, living alone in the snow area without a garage, I decided to sell this home and bought another (in a lower elevation) in Hathaway Pines. Yep, again, I called Brian. I told him what I was looking for and he brought samples out of which I chose the one I wanted. Since I hadn't moved into the home yet I was able to have all the painting and flooring done easier. He put large ceramic tiles in 3 bathrooms, carpet up a staircase (see * below), and hardwood thru out the rest of the 4 bedroom home with a large Great Room which is open to the kitchen, living room, dining room and dining area and connects to a large laundry room. After I moved in I had an *upstairs room (that was framed over garage) that Brian carpeted stairs earlier, finished off to a large Bonus room. I had seen a carpet in Brian's showroom years before that was light brown with blue, beige and tan stars. I called him (a year after last installation) and asked if he remembered the carpet. He gave me a name and I went on line and found it. Brian ordered it for me and had his installers come put it in. OMG it looks AMAZING! Was perfect for the younger grandkids, but now as they are getting older they still think it's "cool"! I am NOT moving again, but if I ever do need any other work done, I will call Diablo Flooring, for sure.... also a friend of mine up here saw my floors and called Brian. They chose a light knotty pine hardwood that is absolutely beautiful! read more

When it turned out that the manufacturer didn't have the one we picked out in stock anymore, Dave emailed and called us with a few suggestions that closely matched. We are so pleased on the way it turned out and how it transformed our house. We had lots of tile and carpet throughout the house.
