Excellent selection of wood flooring. This is a convenient storefront located next to Sprouts grocery store in San Ramon. There is plenty of parking. The showroom is bigger than it appears...given its retail style location. Fortunately, the price structure is not only competitive but better than driving out to deep random locations in warehouse districts! Nothing wrong with going to warehouses to get better pricing, but this store actually has better prices than big box/warehouse stores and higher end products! I was also pleasantly surprised at the variety of hardwood floor, engineered wood, and carpet samples available. There's also a nice curated section of tile. What sets this location far above is the level of customer service that I received from Ray. Most flooring stores have kind people... who have essentially learned to sell floors as a job. Understandable. But at McCurley's, you get somebody like Ray, who is a contractor and actually knows the ins and outs of installation and design. He has excellent taste and unbelievable patience in describing any product. Ray not only helps me meet my aesthetic goals for this project, but was willing to take the time and educate me on the whole process. I just had luxury vinyl flooring installed in my Walnut Creek condo by McCurley's Floor Center. The process entailed several steps: choosing color and style, pricing comparisons, contract-signing, permissions from my condo association, as well as removal of old carpeting and floor prepping. In addition I had to figure out how to access my condo during installation. I am amazed at how smoothly it went. This is my second time working with Mc Curleys floor center. First was in my condo in San Ramon, I used the San Ramon location the work was fast and amazing 6 yrs not a single issue with the floor. I just moved to a house in Concord and decided to use McCurleys again but now the concord location. Peiman took amazing care of us. I chose the herringbone pattern knowing it was more expensive and much more labor intensive. I had a few quotes and McCurleys Was not only the best price, but also the most experienced. I am so happy, total process would have been about three days but unfortunately we ran out of supplies due to the fact that herringbone Pattern can be hard to gauge due to how many cuts required I'm not sure how they did it so seamlessly but their work is masterful and precise even with the difficult pattern. Peiman had ordered extra material and had not charged me extra. We just had our floors completed. This is actually the 2nd time we've used McCurley's . The first time was in 2012 and that installation went well and the floors were problem free and solid. We wanted to change color of our floors in our home so I received a quote from Oscar and it was very competitive. David and his team performed the demo and installation. It was very hard work involving demo of stairs , the old hardwood floors on two stories as well as kitchen tile from the original builder. Nice, quality flooring and sales staff. For some reason the installer decided that even though the new flooring he was installing was thinner than what he was removing he would saw off extra wood from the bottom of the baseboards and door moldings around the entire room. Lazy? Needs an extra 1/4" gap? Ask the customer first? Possible to replace 1928 door moldings? A craftsman would remove and reinstall the baseboard although then there might be a line where the wall was painted at a different height at the top of the baseboard. McCurley's writes into their installation contract that they are not responsible for the baseboard, so buy some caulking to try to make it look decent. Crap job. Maybe they're better with carpets. read more

I highly recommend Ray and his team at McCurley's flooring. Our flooring process was a bit unique, and Ray and his team did an incredible job and provided over the top customer service. We were building a new home and spent a lot of time picking out floors and going to a lot of different flooring stores. We kept coming back to McCurley's because Ray was so helpful, and we really liked his selection, especially of Provenza products. We finally picked out a floor and placed an order with Ray. Unfortunately, the finished date of our new home kept getting pushed back, and was pushed back almost 6 months from the original estimated install date. Ray was able to hold the floor for us at the warehouse, for WAY longer then expected, with an ever changing move in date and was extremely flexible. Once we finally did take the keys on our new home, we didn't want to move in any furniture until the new floors were installed, so we were really dependent on the timing of the install. David and his team of installers showed up the day after we took our keys and got right to work. They were extremely professional, and installed the whole floor in less then 4 days (we were planning for 7-10 days for install). There was a small problem with some of the materials getting damaged in shipping, but David and Ray ordered new materials and had them delivered and installed in only a few days. And, as the final cherry on top, our new home was located in South San Jose, so a long drive for the install team, but they still showed up happy even after fighting Bay Area traffic... read more

This was the third or forth business we visited to find our flooring. We were greeted right away. They gave us as much time as we needed and then when we asked for help, the sales manager was super knowledgeable and easy to work with. They came to our house two days later to measure and our floors were ordered and ready for us so quickly. They even stored them for us until we were ready. We will be using them again!! read more

The service from our sales guy Ray was great. We had carpet replaced upstairs and wood downstairs. The installation process was ok. The work was done in a timely manner but they forgot to put a final treatment on the wood, that Ray told me they would do. I had to do it myself. Then I noticed some visible seams in the carpet and a chip on one of the woods planks. After many contact attempts, the manager, Casey, FINALLY came to review the carpets seams and said they are actually great and fixing them would make things worse. For the chipped wood, he first said I could get wood markers and color it myself so it wouldn't be noticeable. He added, replacing the plank would compromise the integrity of surrounding planks also makibg things worse. After my discontent, he agreed he would have one of his workers come back and use the "markers" to help the appearance of the wood chip. It has been over a month and I have not heard back from them. I am not pleased as the seams are still visible (in at least 5 different areas) and the chip is still exposed and I'm afraid will only get bigger. See pictures attached!
