I'm so glad I found Amanda in my stressed out state. I had a challenge to match my hardwood stair color with an lvp material. I started my research a few months prior to getting my keys to the new construction home. I couldn't even see my stairs with the hardwood completed. All I had were the hardwood samples as reference. Amanda is truly a white glove service. While other floor companies were more concerned of measurements and just providing me a price of what the work would cost, Amanda had a full picture approach. She has the best communication even over txt. I'm a mom of 2 under 6 yr old and it's quite difficult for me to pick up the phone so txting is by far my communication of choice. Her goal was to ensure I would love the product even if I was just purchasing material from her. I went to her sample store to check out her products and she helped me find a few samples that could be a potential fit and I'm thrilled that we found the absolute perfect product! Very VERY Happy with the work of Latta Floors. They were referred to us by our realtor. Our plan was to have flooring done before we moved in and a lot of other vendors couldn't meet the timing we needed or would be extremely expensive. At least that's what it was at the beginning of the research. Once we checked out their show room, Amanda was amazing. She came up, taught us more about carpets than anyone should know and insisted we take all of her sample boards to the house to make sure what we wanted was EXACTLY what we wanted for color. We also wanted some LVP installed that matched our existing. We were afraid she'd come back with something insanely expensive but no. She came back with the exact material we had already in the house! Aside from the tight schedule we had, Latta was very reasonably priced and great to work with. Answering texts at the off hours (due to my kids/work schedule) and always being there to answer questions. What did it for me the most was the install. Thanh was the lead for the install and he and his crew did a great job with the LVP and the carpet. We trusted their judgement on some of the intricacies of some of our steps and were REALLY happy with the end product. What's even more is I showed Thanh some concerns I had from the existing flooring and he cited that it wasn't damage but a bad install. Thanh came early on the day of LVP install and fixed the flooring himself! I can't speak highly enough about Latta's service and quality. We recently bought a house in Concord and our realtor recommended Latta Floors to replace all our flooring and they were fantastic! Everyone there is super friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. The were incredibly communicative and worked hard with their vendors to get us the best deal possible and we ended up with reasonable and fair price for the work done and materials used. We did an initial walk through of the house to get some recommendations on types of flooring and they brought a few flooring samples for that first meeting. They even let us keep a couple samples overnight so we could see it them different lighting. The next day we went out to their showroom in Livermore and saw a ton more samples and made our final decisions. The installation itself was mostly uneventful, though they did find a couple weird issues after pulling up the current floors, but they were again very communicative and gave us updated recommendations and there was only a small upcharge to fix the unforeseen issues. Everyone was on time from start to finish and even with the additional issues the project ended exactly when they initially promised, and our floors turned out amazing! I was looking to replace my 19 year old laminate with something a little more modern. I knew I wanted to shop local and turned to Yelp for some businesses in Livermore. Latta floors had a 5 star rating, and now I know why. I submitted an appointment for an estimate and was contacted within the hour. I had an appointment for measurements on the books for the following week. Jason came to my house to measure and bring some samples. He was on time and professional. He did a quick measurement and suggested I visit the showroom in town to look at samples. When I got to the store, Jason was there and helped pull out some samples. I initially took three but came back a few days later to swap them out as I was not finding what I liked. Jason was super helpful and understanding that this was a big choice to be made and didn't rush me. He was able to send me some quotes on a few looks that I was interested in within the day. I finally decided on a look and a date was set up for installation the following week. On the day of the installation I received a text update on when the crew would be arriving. The owner was the first person to show up. He was super friendly and professional. His crew showed up shortly after. They were very polite and friendly and didn't make me feel in the way while I was doing some other stuff around the house while they were working. They were able to move most of my furniture and worked from room to room. I have a smaller home and they were able to finish almost the whole job in one day! The owner came back the next day to see the work and to see if I had any questions or concerns. I needed to have the floors in my rental unit replaced due to a pipe that had burst. I decided to use the same restoration company that dried the mess out to do all the repair work, including the flooring. But, that company did not have any of the SPC luxury vinyl that we were replacing, and the color we had no longer existed, so I needed to find a place close by where I could see samples in order to choose a replacement. I found Latta Floors in my search, and it looked like they had a lot of SPC. I told them I already had an installer, and I was not sure if the restoration company would want to purchase through them, and wondered if they could still let me look at the samples. They were very welcoming and helpful and let me come in and look around and ask questions. At the showroom I met Thanh, and he asked me how much flooring we needed and then let me know that they had some SPC left over from various jobs, and could offer us a good deal on those if we wanted. I did find one of those that I liked, and I let the restoration company owner know their price, and he agreed to buy it from them. It worked out great to get what we needed immediately and for a very good price. The restoration company then used a subcontractor that did not do a very good job on the corners and edges, and I asked the folks at Latta some of my questions to help me make some decisions to get that rectified with the restoration company. Amanda and Thanh were very kind and helpful with looking at some pictures and giving me some of their knowledge and thoughts. I would say that anyone looking for flooring should take a look at Latta, especially if you are looking for SPC luxury vinyl- they have a great selection. From my interaction with them I would say they are very knowledgeable, helpful, and extremely responsive. I used Yelp to get several flooring estimates and also got an estimate from Costco flooring, at the end we selected Latta Floors for several reasons: - price range was within other quotes, big difference for me was timing to get a quality produced estimate. The estimate had a really good breakdown of each item and labor. Others that I received ranged from hand written notes to Yelp messages. When it comes to any home improvement project a well documented estimate is always valuable (for future tax cost basis) - payment was another BIG factor while I could have paid by check or cash, being able to use a Costco credit card allowed me to get points and Latta doesn't charge a credit card fee that others do. Personally, I find it really annoying for businesses to charge clients a credit card transaction - customer service was always on point, stating with Vincent (rock star service) to Amanda and Ton. From the start we worked with Vincent and Amanda to find the wood flooring product we wanted, not what they wanted or what other flooring folks wanted to give us. We also asked for any incentives and they passed on their supplier discount to us (such as a Thanksgiving sale)!! Ton takes pride in his craftsmanship and it shows when the most minor items he fixed for us rather than brushing them off, such as caulking spots which he color matched that I cannot see the difference anymore. I personally feel more comfortable that an owner continues to do his craft rather than just supervising, shows me pride of workmanship. - overall experience was beyond expectations, when the job finished I asked to pay the remaining balance by credit card (again to get points) and was informed to just pay at their showroom. While I was thinking they would have a mobile card reader just trusting the client was a welcomed surprise to just drive over to their showroom and make the final payment. read more
