We requested some small changes along the way and they were readily accommodated with no cost change. The installers were pure craftsmen with the installed materials. All joints and cuts were precise. They were very polite and accommodating during the installation process, cleaned up the work area each night, and were very respectful of our house and its contents. We used Total Floors for our remodel in 2019. I had wanted tile and didn't want to invest on redoing or stairs. They gave us two estimates, one with tile but another with waterproof laminate that included the stairs and was cheaper than tile. The advice on the waterproof product was so great and I still love my floors two years later. (Thanks, Kam! You were right about this choice!) Patrick and the crew are such a pleasure to work with. We decided to use Total Floors based on the ratings and after Patrick came and gave us an estimate for laminate and carpet. He was thorough, helpful, and we wanted to support a local family business. Everything seemed to be going great. They were accommodating and reasonably priced, but after the job was complete we noticed issues. First, when they removed the baseboards, they cut into the drywall so now we have a huge gash in our wall above the baseboard. The laminate is thiner than the previous floor, so now the baseboard sits lower and does not cover up the cut they made. The carpet prior did not make any creaky or squeaky noises and now it's very noisy and annoying in some areas. Some areas of the laminate pop up when they are walked on. We did bring these issues to Patrick's attention and he said he would send his repair guy out. He let us know our new POC would be Kam because he would no longer be working in the area. Kam was supposed to follow up with a date for the repairs, but never did. Then to our surprise, a guy rang our doorbell one early Saturday morning..it was the repair guy. Glad we didn't have plans that day. Apparently he injected more glue into the laminate, but it's been weeks and the issues still persist. We're now finding additional areas that pop up since installation. He initially told us he could do nothing about the squeaky carpet, but after I insisted Patrick said it could be fixed, he did fix one area that was the noisiest. Then said the other creaks would have to be addressed by a different type of contractor because they don't fix joist issues. The main frustration with that is we didn't have creaky floors prior to this new carpet install. I would also think if there was going to be an issue after the job was complete, they would have pointed it out rather than basically say, not my problem. Although we love the carpet and laminate we selected, the installation and follow up fell short. read more

We were thrilled to find Total Floors by accident through a flier. We were searching for a company to remove tile/carpet and replace with luxury water-proof flooring. From the very beginning, Jaime, Patrick, and Kam knew their information/specs by memory and were so helpful choosing the right flooring to go with. I could not remember a time that we were this impressed with a company. We chose the flooring and scheduled the installation. Ignacio and Pedro were on time and very friendly. Our tile was very difficult to remove, and had to be jack-hammered out. The smile never left their faces and explained exactly what they were doing. The job took 4 days total including an extra day because of the tile. Jaime took the time to send us photos of other jobs describing what we could expect. I was able to get the measurements and quote done within the same week. Due to supply-chain issues, the product we thought was in stock was delayed. I must say, I found the Livermore Store by accident, but I'm so glad I did. I'm a contractor, and I headed over to Dal Tile.They were not there but I met Kam and I spent about an hour there the first time, looking at the products etc. I have done at least a dozen orders in the months I've known these guys. Never, have they dropped the ball. Kam, Jamie and Patrick always come through for me. My customers go pick out a product, and I handle the rest. I just had all my floors replaced in my home and we used total floors. The work quality could not be better. Carpet and wood was installed and I can't tell you how great they turned out. This review is long overdue. We had our flooring installed by Total Floors in September 2018 before we moved in, and then I got so busy with a million other things that I did not get back to this until now. In short: Our experience with Total Floors was great, and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing beautiful flooring in their home. In detail: My first contact was with Patrick via their web chat. He responded almost immediately and had all the information I needed to get a quick idea of the costs we would be looking at. Since I was interested, I got an appointment with Kam and Jamie to do the measurements and estimation. We thought we wanted bamboo flooring since one of our rooms already had it, and we had read good things about bamboo. But Kam was able to show us how the bamboo that was already there was buckling and told us solid bamboo glued down onto a slab floor was not a good idea due to expansion and contraction issues. So we discussed and found that an engineered hardwood would be better suited for our house. Kam and Jamie spent a lot of time with us and we immediately felt comfortable with them. We then went to their showroom and found a material we really liked, and once we reviewed the estimate and decided on a few things, they got us on their schedule for installation. Here's a list of all the things we liked about them: - They are a family business and they were so nice and down to earth that they felt like family to us as well. - They were able to get our work done before we moved in, even though there wasn't much time from when we contacted them to the date we wanted it. - Because they already had the material in their showroom/warehouse, we didn't have to wait for a shipment. - They were very organized, and great with communication every step of the way. - The team of workers they used were very professional, polite, and hard working. Arturo was the lead, and he was very experienced and skilled. - We had them pull out the bamboo flooring and I know that was a difficult job because it was glued down, but they still did it very quickly. - Our house had just been painted, and so we asked them to be careful of not nicking the walls when they worked as much as possible, and they did a great job. There were only a few minor marks in the rooms they had to rip out the old flooring, and I was able to touch those up easily. - The floor material and installation all looks great! There were some places we wanted the floor to meet up directly with some natural stone and I was worried it might have gaps or have slight height differences, but Arturo and his team got it PERFECT! Just a few weeks ago we suddenly noticed the floor squeaking in one place near the door to the garage. Kam came over with some workers and within a few minutes they fixed the problem- the transition piece had originally been on just a little too tight and over time with expansion it created the issue. They pulled that off and adjusted and put it back on - no charge - and all is fine! Overall, as I mentioned before we would highly recommend Total Floors and the installers they work with. We've had our hardwood floors installed about a year ago 2 years ago, looking great with high quality materials. First floor had hardwood pre-installed by the builder - now scratched and dented, floors installed working with Patrick on 2nd floor are in perfect shape. Store had wide variety of styles, colors and prices, I believe installation took just 2 days over 1,000sq.ft., including ripping out carpets, installing floors, cleaning, putting base boards in place and touch up paints - move-in ready. I was sent over to Total Floors by my contractor to look at their LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) for my home. AMAZING Real Wood Looking and FULLY WATERPROOF flooring! I have to say from the moment I stepped inside, I knew these were people I wanted to give my business. Jamie showed us around and explained about all the different manufactures of LVT. She pulled samples out and as we talked about wanting more grey or more browns, she really listened and made terrific suggestions. They have SO many options and they really know their products. We described what we were looking for and she immediately had samples on the ground. We were able to choose our flooring in about 30-45 minutes. Kam came out to our house, measured, and had a quote to us in about 1-2 days. Jamie set us up with the contract and got us on the schedule immediately. We had the demo/install team in our house about 2-3 weeks after signing. We had Arturo and his crew demo and install the flooring plus some tile.
