PictureMe Portrait Studios
My family and I visited the PictureME Portrait Studios at Walmart on Beach Blvd. December 16th, 2012 to have family Christmas pictures taken. We initially scheduled a three o'clock appointment over the phone two days prior, and arrived on time.
When we arrived at the small studio, the employees were caotic, and we were not acknowledged until the manager turned around and said "Do you need something?" I informed her of our appointment time and she said they would get to us when they can because they were assisting walk-ins, and because she was taking a smoke break.
While we were waiting in the "studio" a receptionist (whom was consulting with a customer at the time) took a personal call, while still sitting with the customer, and preceeded to YELL cooking instructions at someone babysitting her son. When the manager returned from her smoke brake we informed her of the innappropriate situation and she immediately turned around and confronted the employee, who flat out lied in front of all the witnesses in the room. How unprofessional on both their behalfs.
We watched three photo sessions before they finally accommadated our appointment at four o'clock. Their poses are seriously outdated and cheesy. The only photos we decided to buy were the ones we suggested doing, as far as poses go. When we were finished by 4:30PM the manager told us the photos would be finished being edited soon and to return in forty-five minutes to choose our favorites. We shopped around Walmart and returned forty-five minutes later, as directed. The photos were NOT DONE, and neither were the three photoshoots before us.
When we returned another thirty minutes later (as directed again) the manager was choosing photos with a group THAT WENT AFTER US! When we asked what the deal was her response was "well, the woman has work later tonite." I myself had three final exams the next day and had to study, but instead was dealing with horrible customer service. We finally got to choose our photos (three hours later) and ended up spending over $140 plus tax, and were told to pick up our order on the 22nd of December.
Believe it or not this is when it gets most irritating. The $140 package we bought included one 10x13 Wall Portrait, one Portrait Collage, one Framed 16x20, a Hi-Res Portrait CD, $20 to spend at Shutterfly, ten 4x8 Christmas Greeting Cards, and one Christmas ornament. We left that day with only a receipt and a Hi-Res Portrait CD, because the manager forgot to give us the $20 Shutterfly Card.
When I attempted to use the Portrait CD, it read as blank. They gave us a blank disc! If you're going to give me anything blank make it a check so I can at least get my money back! We brought it back the next day and got a new one, which did not work on either Mac or PC. We went back again and asked how they formatted the disc, and the photographer's response was "I don't know." The disc, which according to the manager is a $200 value, is worthless.
When we returned the 22nd of December to pick up the photos. They were not ready. BIG SURPRISE. We finally recieved the pictures on December 24th (um, a little late to send out those Christmas cards. I'd save them for next year, except they're dated 2012) However, we have yet to recieve our Framed 16x20, and its been fifteen days since we were scheduled to pick it up. UNPROFESSIONAL.
I plan on asking for a full refund of our purchase, and I advise everyone to stay clear of this particular location. read more
