ALDI has got to be one of my favorite "to go" grocery stores. Of course, there are specific things I come here for: BREAD, EGGS, YOGURT, CREAMER, MILK, COTTAGE CHEESE, BAKING ITEMS, (sugar, pudding & cake mixes, chocolate chips, just to name a few) SALMON, KOMBUCHA, POTATO CHIPS, VEGETABLES (green onions and lettuce in the bag are always fresh, to name a few) I also stayed with Aldi when the egg prices were going crazy... I don't do COSTCO, and there are only two of us, so it doesn't pay for me to have a membership and be tempted to buy too many groceries, so I'm comfortable with Aldi being one of my "go tos". I'm happy with the quality and freshness here and may venture into the frozen food section when I have time.... read more

Located in Westminster in Orange County, this Aldi was accessible on our way back from running errands. Everything was well stocked, including a large selection of meats and frozen items. Poorly staffed location on a busy weekend. They only had three people working in the entire store and two of them were doing cash register. The third person was on a long break. I needed to get a half gallon whole milk that I saw in the back of the fridge shelf that was far out of reach. I asked one of the front people to help but they said I'll have to wait 20 mins for the third person on break to come back. That's simply ridiculous. Dirty, depressing, a lot of homeless around. They must be low on staff, bc they're not putting out produce. It was almost empty with empty boxes all on the produce shelf. I saw an older lady almost have a box fall on her head which could've been bad. Nothing was stocked. Many of the employees were focusing on the dry boxed goods to restock. The chicken was of good quality. I'm not a fan of their method of bagging groceries by leaving a cart there for ppl to put their groceries back into a bag, but you live and learn...go to Albertsons across the street. read more

I went to this Aldi for the second and last time. The first adventure featured homeless surrounding the shopping carts bumming for change and loitering in the parking lot. I left without buying anything. This second, and last time, today, not only featured homeless milling around the shopping carts and parking lot, but one was taking a bath in a planter, scrubbing away. It was a special Monday for him and Aldi. For me it was "buh-bye' Aldi. I was so glad my car wasn't parked close to his spa adventure, and could not get out of there fast enough (again without buying anything). I always find interesting things and lower prices at Aldi. I find the produce good and fresh. The meats and cheeses are different brands that you may or may not like. I got my Thanksgiving turkey breast which was excellent and I got a cheese dip that was awful. Overall they are cheaper than anywhere else. read more

They are located next to Wienerschnitzel and I like the parking lot layout. Came here for a few minor things and actually liked this store compared to other Aldi's I've been to. Located next to Walgreens and across from the large shopping center with Albertson's, it's in a convenient location. Avocados were 39¢ each today! How to prepare for a trip to Aldi: Leave preconceived preferences of brand names at home. Just like Trader Joe's, they have their own store brands with quality products. Don't be afraid. Bring a quarter for the cart, you'll get your quarter back when you turn the cart. Close your mouth after your jaw drops at some of the amazing prices. I like Aldi. The prices are fair and they have a great selection! It reminds me of Trader Joe's but less hippy dippy! They have their own branded products which is a welcome alternative to all the higher priced name brand stuff that you find in regular grocery stores! Another cool thing is they are Apple Pay friendly! When I go in usually I grab a couple of cases of water and snacks for the office. Water is like $2.49 for a 24 pack and tastes really good! Like comparable to my high end filtered alkaline water that I get for $15/ 5 gal at my local water supplier. I wish there was one closer to my house. I'm a daily shopper here before virus. Now weekly. I believe so far ,Best store ever. Employees are great yet not going back Again until they require masks like hospitals and business tht care for the greater good, oc rules , like Costco's and chain grocery stores etc(any that have common sense to protect all). it's a small location with People walking w masks pulled down, coughing etc, no masks on some and then have young political hacks trying to defend and get in your face for no masks when you ask "please put your mask on for all." This is not acceptable at any of our stores anywhere! This is what's causing everyone to get sick with possible COVID-19 symptoms as well as other underlying issues. Also blocking exits so people can't come in and out is a fire hazard and not safe for customers. You can't lock your stores down and not have multiple exits in case of an emergency. Typically, i'm not a huge fan of trying out new super markets and stuff because it seems like a waste of time especially if you find out it doesn't have everything that you need. With Aldi's it doesn't seem that way. It actually has everything I need most of the time so it's a one-stop shop for me. And to top that off, their prices are incredible for the things I typically buy: eggs, cereal, fruits, vegis, and beef! I personally LOVE their random section with random goodies because it's so bizarre I always find things that I want. With this location specifically, the store is always so clean and the merchandise has always been fully stocked! This is an exceptional experience for any new or reoccurring customer. There's not really much I can saw that's negative about this company except that sometimes it seems their registers get backed up and it takes a little longer to get out, but things happens so I can understand. I love Aldi but man, they need to get an armed security guard or something at this location. The amount of homeless at this location. My husband went to the restroom and he stated that there was a dude tweaking out in the restroom a few minutes later this guy came out and was harassing both of us and other members of the store while tweaking out. I love this Aldi's location because parking is easy, employess are friendly and there's always a large selection of cheap and delicious fruits and vegetables. Grapes were only 75 cents lb, mangoes were 49 cents each and a large family size pizza was only $6.15. It was busy and I appreciated that they had 3 cashiers open. read more

I have to tell you that I am very happy that an Aldi supermarket has opened in my neighborhood at 13900 Golden W. St. Westminster, CA 92683. I'd never heard of Aldi before and was completely unfamiliar, but as I become more and more familiar with Aldi, I am enjoying it exponentially. I am very impressed with the quality of the food as well as the variety, and even though the store itself is rather small, it has a very good selection of what I need. The prices are very good as well, and I avoid going to Albertsons just across the street like the plague!! The produce, the freezer are not good. If you're going to buy vegetables or fruits be really careful. The fruit is not fresh enough to keep in refrigerator for 2 day or longer. Especially frozen seafood make in China, Vietnam or in any Southeast Asia are considered deathly Chemical. I'm glad Aldi chose to open a store in Westminster. I previously had to drive to Anaheim to get to an Aldi and this location is walking distance! Friendly staff, store is always clean and you can always catch some good deals coming here! Note: all carts have a quarter slot to unlock the grocery cart. This review is about the checker named BRIAN. I see several other reviews commenting about rude Aldi employees at this store. I had my entire cart on the conveyor when Brian called the manager to authorize a credit to the lady checking out. The line was quite backed up so the manager opened the next check out kiosk, and invited everyone behind me to get in line. (He should have just helped me transfer my goods as I was 'next in line') So I said...'what about me'. Brian looked at me and said 'you can wait'. Well, I waited while 7 others checked out ahead of me, after Brian having to call the manager over again to authorize another credit. When I asked what was the hold up, he said we're 'taking our time', I said 'no, you're takin MY time'. Yes, yes, yes! Just about everything is a yes! This is just what our neighborhood needed. Albertson's has gotten way too big for its britches (I mean in their prices) and now that Walmart has taken over the old Food 4 Less spot on Beach and GG Blvd we have to go to Stanton for good prices. But that store is huge and you can't really just "drop in" for a few things. Aldi has the best store brand items! My roomie loves their diet cola. He and my hub say it tastes exactly like Diet Coke! Their take and bake pizzas and calzones are to die for. Oh and try the frozen potato section: tater tots, crinkle fries and seasoned fries are only like $1.69 as opposed to even Stater Bros brand which are usually like a buck more! If you drink wine, their Winking Owl brand is cheap, tasty and buzz worthy. There are only some items I won't buy there just because of the prices: Meat, bacon. Not much else. Cooking oil, baking items, etc. are way cheaper (but still high quality) than even the sales prices at other markets. I only had one or two probs there. I had a small bag of bacon bits that were bad. I took em back, got some fresh... AND my money back. Yes, they have a double your money back policy. Even had the same go wrong with a shrimp ring I bought. Package said "deveined", but I found turds. They took it back, no questions asked. But yes, they do sometimes have long lines, especially since the 'hood is becoming more and more aware of the Aldi presence. I find myself looking for a reason to shop almost every day.
