I don't typically review supermarkets, but this Ralph's stands out and needs a documented five stars. The parking lot is vast, there are a lot of other shopping opportunities in the plaza as well as places to eat. The store is always clean and well stocked. Staff is always helpful & there are self-checkouts on both sides of the store with helpers on hand. The reason for the five stars is their clearance! I always scout the deli section for Boars head items, as well as the hot foods. There is typically day old baked and fried chicken at 50% off. Great for a quick bite for my boys & our wacky sports schedule. Most clearance items expire within a week. I've bought bacon and froze it & it defrosts and cooks perfectly fine. read more

Seems to have a wide variety of items, which I appreciate. The employees seem friendly. Store looks well organized and clean. However, there isn't a single person working the checkout counter before 8am??? I'm already rushing to shop at 6 and 7 a.m., I don't need to be taking more time fumbling around self-checkout wondering why items aren't scanning, waiting for someone to help or looking up items on their computer screen... Last week I bought some items and the 6pk of Pepsi Zero was expired, and that happened with other items in the pass. I used the curbside pick up. Today I went for 2 items only, toothpaste and an apple. Now with the cage inside of the store, I had to get inline to pay for the toothpaste and since their cash register doesn't have scale for produce I had to get a second line to pay for one apple. Smart & Final and Albertsons have much better prices and more convenient set up to shop. read more

So far SmartFood is close to perfect - nice big fluffy kernals, great cheese flavor. But it's always out of stock at Albertsons and they don't carry the brand at Ralphs. This Simple Truth that I bought today was pretty good though, especially for the sale price of $1.99/bag. I did not buy the Chickpea puffs though since that is not actually popcorn. Their bakery is my go-to for kids parties now. I love the people working there and have only had good experiences with them! I ordered a dozen mermaid themed cupcakes for my daughter's 4th birthday party at school and also three dozen cupcakes for her actual party the next day. I chose the whipped frosting with half vanilla and half chocolate. I asked if they can do a swirl of teal purple and pink to make it look like a mermaid theme and when I picked up the first dozen for her school party, I was blown away by the detail and cuteness of the cupcakes. They added these mermaid tail rings and sprinkles to match and they were beyond what I expected. I loved them so much, and my daughter freaked out with excitement. I'm excited to pick up my three dozen tomorrow! I don't know who decorated these cupcakes, but I want say thank you to the entire team! These are not only cute, but definitely affordable. I have shopped at this Ralphs for years. Most of the employees are very nice and helpful but lately I constantly get over charged on their weekly deals even though I have clipped their online coupons. I use the Ralphs card that they issue and it always works at other Ralph's. However, for the second time in so many months, I was charged full price for items I clipped. When I took them back to the cashier, I was asked if I was using the camera on my phone. WTF? I said I used the card and they said the deals aren't attached to it. SINCE WHEN? What the hell is the card good for? I was told that in order to get the deals you have to log into their website and go to my card and scan that. No other Ralph's does that. If you don't check your receipt and are still using the card, you most likely are getting ripped off.​ read more

This location continues to go downhill. I placed an order Saturday evening because I had to work very early and my son needed diapers as he only had a few left. My delivery was supposed to come between 9 and 11. At 2pm, I finally decided I'd find what was going on. Basically not enough people to priorize deliveries today. Very rude towards my friends and I and gave us attitude, when we were paying the lady on the next register told us to more our cart in a very rude way and gave us attitude, she had a ponytail. There were also giving us stares and we felt uncomfortable. The woman's name on the register was marina, this store should teach their workers how to greet customers and treat customers with respect. Came here around 9:30 pm on 8/5 and went to self check out and this worker named ALINA was so rude. She was staring me down arms crossed and threw so much attitude. She also thought we were stealing just because one of the items didn't scan all the way and the self check out beeped that help was on the way, she literally grabbed the item out of my hand and proceeded to scan the rest of my cart by herself, which I didn't ask for. We also didn't see that there were bags on top to the left of the scanner, so we just grabbed bags on the other side of the check out and she was like "there's bag up there, I know it's late, but if you use your eyes, they're there for you to use" I was stunned and baffled, did not appreciate coming here and will prolly not be back for how disgusting I was treated. read more

It's no secret, Ralph's is my favorite store when visiting my daughter. My daughter and I absolutely love exploring and shopping here. The store is brightly lit and the aisles seem a little wider. It is well organized & stocked - we always find the items we need and more! We absolutely love their selection of organic food and gluten-free options. For people that have food allergies & are gluten-sensitive this is the perfect store - it has lots of options. With food sensitivities, it's better to cook at home that way you know all the ingredients are gluten free and Ralph's it's well stocked with gluten free products for our meals. Our favorite is their organic fresh produce section at affordable prices. Always on our groceries list are their organic fruits like the papaya, blueberries, strawberries, oranges are great for fresh juicing and fresh smoothies. Also, their ready to-go organic cooked rotisserie Chicken - can be sheddered and added to chicken broth. Yes, we get lots of other non gluten free food for me here as well. We're a fan of the company's display set ups to showcase their products like Perrier water, wine display, Hershey chocolates displays, just to mention a few. The big difference here is that All their employees are always super attentive and helpful. If I could give negative stars, I would. I shop here weekly, usually only a few items every time. There is one particular self-checkout lady who makes shopping here a living hell. I don't often write bad reviews, but today was the last straw. Without fail, she finds something wrong with how I am checking out. Buying one white onion? Type JUMBO not WHITE ONION or else it's wrong. Machine prompts you to enter quantity of oranges? DO NOT PLACE THE ORANGES IN THE BAG. She has literally snatched items out of my hands to scan them "correctly." Today, she made me stand there and literally watch a video playback of myself checking out to see what I did wrong. For 5 cucumbers and a bag of carrots. She even seemed disappointed in not finding something to berate me about. If only a normal cashier could ring me up. My review is based on the fried chicken in the deli department. Really nicely seasoned and not overly salty. We came in late, after hours and we new it was not freshly made but it was pretty tastee. Good quality fried chicken in comparison to other near by locations. Staff was a bit busy but they promptly facilitated our order pretty fast. A pretty busy parking lot but we felt safe. I've been to many Ralph's before and I always buy their veggie rolls from their sushi section. This Ralph's in particular is my fave because the sushi chef is ALWAYS super nice and kindly makes me avocado rolls when I request them. I don't eat fish but I love vegetable rolls, so it feels great to be able to request specific veggie rolls. I've been to other Ralph's where the sushi chef couldn't accommodate me, so this is such a treat. 5 stars for his amazing service!!! read more

This place has good produce, a nice deli section, and a nice bakery. I really like the produce from here because it's fresh and lasts pretty long. It's my first time trying out their deli so I'm excited. I got ham, Muenster cheese, Wisconsin cheddar and roast beef. They have boars head meats so it should be good. Jon saved my thanksgiving! Couldn't find our baster so I went looking for it at the Albertsons by my house but it was closed. So made the trek to Ralph's on Bolsa Chica. Jon, a Ralph's employee, helped me look but the kitchen section for roasting had nothing left. I was on my way out when Jon came looking for me with one (flavor injector) baster in his hand.
