4.5 stars overall - I'm shopping different Ralphs to determine if there is one Ralphs where I can consistently shop to buy everything I need in one place...so far I have not been successful. I was able to purchase the one thing my neighborhood Ralphs stopped carrying, but there was a trade-off - this Ralphs deli/cheese section didn't carry the variety of specific crackers I typically buy in my neighborhood. Stacy Kelly in the liquor department is absolutely amazing. I purchase alcohol regularly for my small business, and I don't go anywhere else because of her. She is incredibly helpful with selections, always available, and makes you feel like you're the only person in the store like your business truly matters. This review is for Chong the pharmacist only. My husband went in today for his 10 week supply of injectable testosterone prescription today and comes out without any syringes or needles to administer it. I head in to ask how in the world he is supposed to take his medicine without it. After 45 minutes, and telling Chong EXACTLY what gage and length needle she hands me some an inch longer than I needed. Not sure if me having to show her the CA government website saying you do not need a prescription for needles or me telling her I was reporting her pissed her off but thank goodness I checked the size and didn't accidentally kill my husband! I had a $50 gift certificate that I got at the end of the year in 2024 from a vendor after winning a contest. Went into Nordstrom rack to spend it and as it turns out when they opened up the gift certificate, somebody had fraudulently gotten in there and stolen the numbers. Nordstrom gave me all of the information where it was purchased. What the amount was ($50) and when it was spent, online 10 days after purchase by someone not me. Nordstrom said to bring the information they provided and Kroger/Ralphs would replace it. The manager at Ralphs had that smug condescending smirk when she informed me that I would not be able to do anything without the original receipt. I won it in a contest. TBH I cannot even remember who the vendor was. Nordstrom sent all the corroborating paperwork and stated it was unopened when presented. The manager did not even review it before telling me that "even if I called the corporate headquarters" there was no recourse for me. Never really shop at Ralphs but my dad (93) does. I will tell you I will NEVER step foot in a Ralphs again. I will be following up with corporate tomorrow. #neverRalphs read more

Kudos to Dr. Stephen Le and all the rest of the Pharmacy staff. They are consistently amazing. They are the reasons why this is my only grocery store. It's like going back in time when the pharmacist knew your name and a little bit about you and your family! Dr. Stephen will take all the time you need to explain and answer questions. He knows all of his customers names and always asks how they're doing, how's their sick cat, or how the pickleball game is going. This store is lucky to have him and all of his team. They are so kind, considerate and patient. This grocery store is so much better than any of its neighbors. Such a diff in the staff - they seem to care that you're there, willing to help, competent. I only come to this Ralphs cause it's convenient and every time I walk in I pray I don't have an uncomfortable experience.. it never fails.. today I think did it for me... I walk to the meat section looking for beef ribs, im looking up down all around and I can't seem to find them, there's a meat stocker and I swear he asked everyone that came around if they needed help finding anything, but wouldn't ask me, for whatever reason, I can only assume it was cause I wasn't "that kind" of person cause everyone else was his kind .. this isn't the first time I've had this type of experience here.. Went to get few fruits and saw cherries, it had digital coupon from $9.99 to 4.99 Couldn't download it on app as app was having issues. Nora at register tried to help me for 10 minutes and she couldn't figure it out too. She refused to do manually adjustment saying they want you to use app. Then I asked for manager waited for another 5 minutes and decided to leave as no one showed up. This digital coupon is a scam . This Ralph's has always been on higher end in prices than other grocery outlets. Ralph's should train their employees if they can't figure out their own app to work how do they expect customers to do so. When app is having issues they should have alternate method to adjust the prices and not make it hard for customers. read more

occasoally some good bargains in the back sales racks staff not friendly at all especially the cashiers. hostile. for the past 5 years plus they only have 2 rikkety old electric carts and one is almost always broken, so if y ou need an electric cart to shop do not notnot go there complaints to management and corporate headquarters fall on deaf ears. they just don't care. don't bother looking in the freezer section either for bargains, there usually are no prices on the items and at checkout they just put them back and don't sell them to you. very sloppy management in this store. read more

It's a decent grocery store. AND it does not treat customers like criminals by having closed off aisles that you have to purchase items special then do the rest of your shopping, like the one on Warner. We drove across town to this one rather than suffer that insult. read more

This store is great! I love Ralph's produce section, it is one if the best!! Better value than Albertsons, cleaner than Food 4 Less and Kroger brand products are also great. My only constructive criticism is that I am not a fan of the digital coupon system. It is too hard to get logged in and do them before getting in the checkout. Albertsons does it, too. I fear that grocery stores are selling shoppers' personal data, otherwise why would someone have to pre-clip coupons when they could easily be instant, saving both customers and employees time and keeping things simple? Grocery stores should focus on saving customers time, not adding additional unnecessary tasks and profiting off selling private shopping info and demographics. Who are they selling it to? read more

Amazing Ralph's store with a huge variety of produce, healthy food selections, a bakery and prepared food to-go. Large selection of fine cheese, craft beers, and fresh flowers. Basically a one-stop location for all your basic home needs. The store is nicely lit and kept clean. Plenty of parking out front. I could get pleasantly lost in the aisles, exploring the hundreds and hundreds of options. Their bulk-food section was an inviting display with an impressive selection of dry goods. I grabbed a spicy tuna roll from their Japanese food section and it hit the spot for dinner. Thank you for having an accessible bathroom incase you spend hours in there browsing! read more

My prescriptions go to this Ralph's pharmacy. I love the high level of service they provide over the years. I'm writing a review to acknowledge another example where the pharmacist told me that my new prescription was $500, but that there is a program from the manufacturer to reduce it to $10! This grocery store is my 3rd choice in town. They regularly do not have enough checkout lanes open, are one of the few businesses that still don't have the tap option for credit card payments, and have the highest prices compared to Von's and Albertson's. In a pinch, they're fine but I recommend shopping elsewhere. read more

This used to be my first choice grocery store , but unfortunately 2 plus years after Covid and it's continuing to decline. The continuous lack of stocked shelves, understaffed employees, trash in the parking lot, and old rickety carts just makes it unpleasant to shop here. The employees have always been friendly and helpful and they still are but they are spread thin. Shopped at Ralphs on Goldenwest in HB. They have the best plants there. A good variety. I like the store. The people are friendly. What I don't like about all Ralphs stores is that they are the ONLY grocery store that charges for cash back. It now costs .75 cent for cash back. Oddly enough it was .50 cents and they recently raised it to .75 cents. Should be zero. They have higher prices than other grocery stores anyway. With the high cost of groceries it is a slap in the face to raise this this cash back cost. How much money does Ralphs need. They should NOT be charging anything for cash back which is free every other grocery store. In addition, their receipt states there is a limit of 10 environmental bags? Really? Why? What does this mean? You should be able to bring and use 10 bags and then you have to buy their .10 cent bags. Or are you only able to buy a limited 10 cent bags from them? Either way it's cheapskate on their part. Guess it's a non issue. The grocery prices are so high these days you probably won't get to 10 bags. It's a shame that Ralphs does this to their customers. The store is otherwise great. But these small things impact their store rating in my book. Shop at other stores who care more and provide these small courtesies to their customers. read more

The food is getting worse day by day, the "famous" Chicken salad coming with bones, bones joint and cartilage. They have no quality control whatsoever, sometimes I got some good salads like in the others Ralphs, but just in another day that disgusting salad come back to the shelves with no quality at all. It's the worse Chicken Salad in the market, they put anything fat gross in there and is difficult to see before because the color. I am writing to share my experience this evening. Unfortunately, it was quite terrible. I went in to pick up some groceries as I usually do multiple times a week. I grabbed my groceries, but I had forgotten to pick up some gift cards for my team. So, I re-entered the store to pick them up. I grabbed the cards I wanted and went to checkout. The lines for the lanes with cashiers were longer and there was no one at the self-check area, so I went to the self check lane. I began to checkout and I rang up all the gift cards. I wanted to try and use a Kroger gift card, so I chose "other" as my payment method. The screen stated that I need to speak with an attendant. So, I pressed the "Speak with attendant" button at the bottom right. I continued to wait. The cashier in front of me turned around to look at me (I later found out that her name was Noralee and that she was the manager?!). She then turned back around and returned to what she was doing. She was waiting on something, so she left her station and tended to some business behind the front counter (I assume it was the manager's area). While she was there tended to whatever she needed to, she continued to look my way and make eye contact with me, and again, she continued to ignore me. This whole time, I thought that it was supposed to be someone else that was assigned to man this area, so I continued to wait. I waited there about ten minutes and still no one came. It was only after other customers began to use the self check area and another patron needed assistance that she FINALLY came to this area to tend to the area. Of course, she again ignored me, the person that was there first and waiting for about ten minutes, and went to the other Caucasian fellow. Only after she helped him, did she turn my way and literally snapped at me asking "What do you need?!" I was quite taken back. I asked her why it took so long for someone to come to my attention as I had waited for ten minutes. She stated that she "didn't see me", which is a total lie because we made eye contact multiple times. Then she asked me rudely "What do you want?!" I pointed to the screen and told her that the screen told me that I needed an attendant. She saw that I was trying to purchase gift cards and said that "You can't do here. You have to go to a cashier!" Frankly, I don't even think that is true, because the software seems pretty sophisticated and specific for something that couldn't be done. Regardless, I find this whole situation quite troubling. First, she was not apologetic at all. If I told that I had been waiting for 10 minutes she should have apologized for the inconvenience and tried to make it better, regardless of whether she saw me or not. That's just basic customer service. But no, she was rude which further suggests to me that her mistreatment was intentional. Also, beside her lack of contrition, she made no effort to remedy the situation. If she really believed the cards couldn't be purchased at the shelf check, she should have offered to help me as soon as she was free to help. Instead, she basically told me to go wait in the cashier's line and that they were the only ones who could help. Further, as soon as the other (white) fella needed help, she jumped to help him rather immediately. How was she so alert to his need for help? My suspicion is that there has to be some alerting system in place those in self check that need an attendant. Further, if she didn't know I needed help, why did she come my way after helping him? None of this makes any sense. Her lie is not believable even in the context that she suggests. My concern is multifaceted. First and foremost, she is a manager?! She is supposed to teach and train other employees? How is she able to do that with what she just demonstrated? Is this really the type of employees that Ralph's wants representing them? There are only two logical explanations for her behavior. 1) What she states is true, and she is just that imcompetent that she didn't notice a customer standing there in need of help, ignoring the alerting system that was in place, and providing the atrocious customer service that she did. OR... 2) She is racist. She saw an Asian man in need of help, and she refused to help him, forcing him to wait, only coming to the area to help a white man. Neither explanation is acceptable. Whichever explanation you choose to believe, I certainly hope that your store is able to clean this up and purge this sort of unacceptable conduct. However, in the meantime, I will be going to Albertson's the other way down Goldenwest. I plan on sharing my experience with Noralee to all of my neighbors and friends. You should too! read more

This is one of my favorite supermarkets. The staff is hardworking & pleasant, the store is kept clean, and they have a great selection of products. I especially enjoy their cheese selection. This pandemic has been tough on groceries and I appreciate the cleanliness, organization and the staff that is always pleasant even though I can imagine it has been stressful for them. Shout out to James (I think he works in tairy department?) who went out of his way to help me out in a friendly, relaxed manner at the height of the crisis when it was crazy at the stores! I also appreciate Chucky, who always has a smile and asks everyone how their day was- it feels good to hear that after a long, hard day at work! Highly recommend. read more
