Go to the yellow store instead. Don't bother with the one with the blue store. Rude service

The owner of this place is super rude! Our family walked in to get some fruits for the beach. We inquire about the price of the star apple fruits. We held up a bag we wanted. The owner of the place said "it's heavy, you won't be able to afford it." Super condescending. We ended up buying the bag of star apple fruits because we can buy whatever we want if we want. Will not be back! Go next door! The owner next door is friendly and fruits are super fresh

Trai Cay Ngon means delicious fruit. I come here about 3 to 4 times a year for special vietnamese holidays. This weekend was Kitchen God day which is observed one week before Tet 2023 (Vietnamese New Year of the Cat!) If you want to learn more about this day, you can find good articles on the internet. I love the selection of tropical fruits they carry. And during this time of year, they have flowers too. Cherimoya - still green, but really creamy once ripe Jackfruit - they do all the work for you and sell just the yellow fleshy part of the fruit. It is the way to go, for sure! As it is not that easy to remove the flesh. Big huge Pomelo - so good and sweet. Vietnamese bananas - those little stubby ones. usually sold when it is still green and just love it when it ripens. very sweet. Rambutan - those soft prickly pretty reddish fruit Mango - Green. Waiting for it to ripen mandarin - adding some color to my fruit platter Grabbed a couple Chrysanthemums for the Kitchen God too. Parking lot can get a little hectic and chaotic, please be careful. Try a new fruit today! Expand your tastebuds and enjoy!

12/30/21. Was on the lookout for atis or atemoya, a family of annona fruits, it is said that it's a cross between a soursop & a cherimoya, also otherwise known as a sweetsop. Sadly none, just my luck! For many Filipinos & many Asians, it's traditionally observed to offer or serve (or give out as gifts) a basket or bowlful of 12 or 13 fruits that are round, symbolic of success &/or prosperity. Mind you, they're supposed to be 12 different kinds or types of fruits & grapes are the most prosperous of all. I was lucky enough to find caimitu or star apple, reminiscent of my dear grandfather, Teofilo, who picked them from his fruit bearing trees & made caimitu ice cream by freezing it. I chose caimitu as an offering to honor my grandfather and his memory. Many reviews were below 3 stars, understandable but I'm giving it a fair shake. The 3 times I've been in, the ladies have been kind to me. The prices are definitely very steep but where else will I find caimitu? I only wish they sold atis too. Unless I find another source to find these types of fresh fruit (emphasis on the "fresh"), I will return when I'm in the mood to walk down memory lane. Now if they had fresh LANZONES.....a ton of Filipinos will drive from near & far. I don't dismiss that you have to stay vigilant nonetheless....truly, buyers beware lol

Pictures are worth a thousand words. Dishonest business concealing rotting fruit by flipping it on the side and sealing it. Times are rough but this is no way to run a business.

I was telling my friend about fruits I miss eating as a kid. I haven't had a chance to taste star apple or Chico since I was 14 years old and her eyes brightened up and she told me about this place. So off we drove to Westminster and to this fruit place. If you're specifically looking for Asian fruit then this is it. These are the kind you won't typically find at your local grocery store. There were lots of jackfruit whole and some ready to eat ( thank God, cause if you knew how laborious it is to get your hands into a jackfruit, you'd prefer it ready to eat) and I wasn't about to lug a 30lb + jackfruit home. I was bummed because the star apple was seasonal , the owner said that they come in around March or April and I had missed the chico that sold out last week. It's just one of those things that made me yearn for it more. Atis or cherimoya was also sold but again on a first come basis...so I missed the boat on that one :( Otherwise if I lived closer I would come here frequently. I made off with some jujubes, jackfruit, mangosteen (and a yellow fruit I can't recall the name of).

Came here and bought over $100 of fruits. Most of the oranges I bought turned out bad and the jackfruit was very dry.

Fresh and Fruity Jack fruit, Mangosteen, Papayas, you name it, it's here! When you are done looking at the fruits, pick up a dozen roses. This store has all kinds of flowers and fruits. A one stop shop for either. Going through the store, the ladies offer plenty of samples. The prices, however, do not seem much cheaper than the local market. But..what the market doesn't carry, this place has! Any type of fruit is here. If it's not, try the store right next to it. I bet they have it. The two stores combined must be what Eden was like. Plenty of yummy fruits and beautiful flowers. Tray Cay Ngon..Eden in the OC. Another reason the OC is the best place to live!

I've been to this store too many times to count, however, I never knew its name... that is, not until KL reviewed it. Now, I can finally review it too! This is the ONLY place I've seen fresh mangosteens (when in season). I'm not sure if they freeze it like they do the durians when they ship them over, but who cares. They have fresh mangosteens!!! The jackfruit is always in abundance and the overwhelming perfumey aromas waft all around enticing you to go in. Tropical fruits of all kinds is available here. They also sell regular every day fruit as well as some Asian vegetables. Fruit prices aren't all that cheap -- depending on what you buy. The jackfruit for sure is not cheap, but if you're craving it, you can't get it any fresher than this place!

The store itself is smaller if you compare it with places like Shun Fat Westminster Superstore or Hòa Bình supermarket. There is only one checkout counter and the staff all seem to be Vietnamese. They have their own seafood and meat counter with number tags where you can ask them to clean or cut fish, plus a small deli to go section. I also noticed their delivery vehicle outside that says wholesale, so it seems like they also supply restaurants in the area. Overall it feels like a neighborhood market that also does some wholesale business. The fresh section looked clean and there was no strong smell. I happened to see ground pork on sale for $2.49 per pound. The regular price was $2.79. Of course I had just paid $3.99 per pound earlier that day at 99 Ranch in Irvine because I wanted convenience. While we were there, a Vietnamese lady next to us was buying a big pile of meat and seafood and chatting with us while waiting for it to be cut. She said she always shops here. She ended up buying the last of the ground pork in the display. We asked if there was any left and the butcher said he had more in the back, so we immediately decided to grab two pounds. I think this place is perfect if you do not want to push a cart around a huge store and just need to pick up a few items quickly. They are open until 8pm.
