Honestly the only good thing about this place is that it's opened 24 hours. But be warned, the later you go the weirder the customers get! Other than that, the list of bad things could go on and on. Let me start off with, why does everyone and their mothers, and apparently their kids and friends and uncles and cousins and grandparents want to come to this Walmart at night time? It's ridiculously packed at like 10pm. I think peak hours are around 6-11pm. Don't ever expect to come here to quickly pick something up. The parking lot is hell too. Some of the workers are helpful but some just seem like don't even know what's going on. It's not worth it to go here to save a few cents and have to deal with the crowds. Only useful if you need something in the middle of the night and other places are closed. PS there's always people begging for money in the parking lot. I cannot believe how inconsiderate and rude some of the workers and shoppers are here. My friends and I just came here to make a simple purchase and we needed help picking a fish. We went up to an employee thinking that she would be helpful and give us somewhat of a good experience. We were obviously completely wrong. When we asked the employee (Jeri or Jerry, the employee is a woman), she yelled at us, "Are you kidding me?!" She screamed that phrase in our faces the times like we were devils. I end up going to Walmart about once every 3 or 4 years. They have some decent weight-lifting gloves for less than $15, so that was the purpose of my most recent visit. I'm pretty good at ignoring everything around me when I want to, so I enter Walmart with this mentality. If that doesn't work, when anyone still tries to talk to me I pretend to speak back in sign-language as if I'm deaf. Some mistake it for gang signs though. There's really nothing unique about describing the various types of people one may encounter when shopping here, so I won't use this space to poke fun at all of them. Although, I couldn't ignore the hommies parked in front of me, hanging in their car blasting music, staring at me when I got out of my car. Sure enough, they were doing the same thing when I went back to my car. I wouldn't be surprised if that parking spot was the equivalent of their living room, the front seats their couch, and the car radio their TV. After picking up the aforementioned gloves, I assumed they had self check-out, but they didn't (I shouldn't be surprised, a lot probably wouldn't be able to figure it out). I have a love hate relationship with this Walmart. I love Walmarts because I get to just wander around the store and end up with a hundred things I don't need but whatever because it's cheap as hell. The thing I love about this Walmart is that it's open 24. I never come during the day, mostly in the AMs because I'm a night owl. Watch out for the weird creepy people walking around the parking lot.. The aisles are always blocked with crates or bulk so you're going to have to find your way around to get through. Employees around aren't really down to help you find anything. It's not organized or clean. People just brutally rampage through their products. Worst customer service possible. Went there to buy some stuff and beer. In the shoe area I saw old shoes there, they must have been exchange for new pairs. In the check out counter I saw six people all being ask for there ID's 3 times to buy beer while only one person paying for it. Being ask 3 times to show ID, I hope it was not for being Latin. When I started to check out the cashier asked my wife who are you and how old are you, which I replied that is my wife and why do you want to know that, and I wanted to speak to the manager. Eileen the manager stated everyone is ID and everyone one has to be over 21 to by alcohol no matter if they pay for it or not. Came here tonight to pick up some shampoo. It was only... 8:45pm or so and the entire parking lot was full. Luckily, I was able to find a parking spot fairly quickly since I happened to come in at just the perfect time as someone was pulling out. When I came into the store, it was total chaos. Like I said previously, the construction going on has left the aisles narrow and cluttered. Put that together with the already crowded store and you've got yourself one heck of a shopping experience. After I inched my way through the crowd, I went to the register area only to find there there was only about 5 cashiers open. The line I happened to form into turned out to be closed since the cashier was doing some over time. But she nicely took me and the lady behind me as her last customers before ending her shift, so props to her! But seriously, this Walmart needs to get its act together. I came originally to get new glasses. $58 for an eye exam isn't awful, and I was in and out in an hour and everyone in there was incredibly nice. Overall, I enjoyed it. I have a follow up for some contacts so I'll be stoked to come back! At about noon on a Thursday and they took me as a walk in without waiting. I imagine that you would have to get an appointment during the times everyone's off work, but if you can skid by without one. This location is ALWAYS crowded with rude customers walking 5 across an aisle or blocking the aisles. It's a magnet for all of the slobs in the area. The workers are very unhappy all of the time. It's open 24 hours, but late at night they're all stocking the shelves and block everything in every aisle. Then look at you like YOU'RE in the way. They card you for buying Sharpies. Very convenient 24 Hour Wal-Mart about 2 minutes away from my house. I honestly used to come here at least 3 times a week if I ever needed anything. Definitely has a good variety of anything that you can imagine! Besides designer brand clothes of course ;) This Wal-Mart does get pretty packed on most nights, but the Pharmacy and the Electronics department are always very helpful. If you have tons of stuff to check out and don't wanna wait in all the long lines at the front, try out the back lines near the Garden Center, usually there are at least 2 open cashiers. Came here for an oil change (synthetic oil) price was $48 after checking w/ Jiffy Lube which came out to about $90 plus $15 off with coupon. Walmart is cheaper even with Jiffy Lubes discount. Walmart checked on everything from brakes, lights, etc., & price included new filter change. Both mechanics (female) & new hire assisted me & they both were very nice & helpful. A guy in a nice suit took a picture of her...with shopping carts and a parking lot in the background. How exciting...? Then, she asks me to take a picture of her by the soda machines. Uh, no thanks. I'll pass. I said no, and she continued to yell things at me. Okay, I get if you are going to develop a camera and you have a few shots left. Please don't pictures of a Walmart. Maybe she was documenting her first Walmart visit? Whatever it was, it did not make me want to shop there. Suspect 2: Guy in wheelchair, situated by the entrance, shouting random things at people who pass by. It startled me. And whatever he was saying, made no sense. He wasn't old, and I couldn't tell that there was obviously anything wrong with him. I'm just curious who would leave him there. At least do him a favor and push him around the store. I already felt weirded out by this Walmart before even stepping inside. The shopping experience itself, however, was no big deal. Then again, I did only run in for one item. The surprise of this Christmas season was when I bought my first Glade scented oil candle. These things are great! I don't know what took me so long to pick one up. Wait, I know... it's their normally sweet flowery and foody scents which I don't like. I happened to find one at Target in a seasonal scent called "Spruce it Up" which is a combination of fir, spruce and sandalwood. Now that is nice. It smells like you're in woodsy forest while the oil burns away. I was so sad I when I found out I couldn't get the refills there. The other night when I went to Albertsons, they didn't have the refills either. I took a chance and drove by Walmart on the way home from work and thought I'd see if they sold the refills. SCORE!!! And they were on sale, too. I bought every last one of those green boxes. Ahh, yes. That woodsy forest scent is mine! All Mine!! Muhahaha. I couldn't find a basket when I walked in, so yes, I was that lady you saw with the dozen cartons of Glade refills in her arms gingerly making her way to the check-out stands. From the customer service to being overly crowded and A LOT of stuff you might need is out of stock. I feel as if the people who work there just really show up to be there vs work. I've got my eye exam and bought contacts at other Walmarts and they were great but this place makes it such a hassle over all, especially their sales associates... But I could go anywhere with my prescription and get any brand of contacts I wanted. Amina, an assistant manager there is completely rude, unhelpful and downright ignorant of her own store's policies. Customer service is completely hit or miss, and this inconsistency breeds a horrible atmosphere where nothing can be found in the right place. The place is filthy, walkways are blocked, and it bears mentioning again-- Amina, the assistant manager, is horrible. She lies about store hours, walks off if you disagree with her in any way, is condescending, and blames all problems on other factors besides her own ignorance. She claimed for example that site-to-store pickup hours are from 7 am to 9 pm, because site to store and layaway items are stored in locked containers outside the store. Police will cite and arrest wal mart staff if they go outside past 9. How ridiculous is that? A third time, because the experience was so bad-- Amina, the assistant manager there is rude, unhelpful and condescending. Go somewhere else until customer service management steps up. read more
