I like to update when necessary. After not finding a frame I liked as well as the one I found here,…read moreI went back for a third time. This time Nanette was there. I'm not sure of her role but she knows what she is doing and on top of everything. She took care of the previous problems I had. I walked out with what I needed! I also spent far less than I had been quoted at other places. The only downside is their transition lenses font change in the car. They don't offer those but they are less expensive as well. So far that hasn't really been an issue for me but it could be something I have to deal with at some point, I'd recommend them because I'm pleased with my glasses and Nanette is so good at taking care of the customers. If she is not in charge, she should be! Nanette gets 5 stars!

We decided to try this place because the last two places my wife and I have purchased glasses were…read moreinsanely expensive, even with our insurance. So we thought we'd drop in while out running errands one day, and when we did, we almost didn't return. As soon as we walked in they were judging us and looking us up and down. Following behind us while we browsed. The first communication was not "Hi! How can we help you today?" It was "Do you have insurance?" Yes. "Who is it with?" One lady followed my wife around, and when she picked up one pair, the lady said to my wife "THOSE frames are $240!" My wife looked at her and said "OK." We decided to give them a shot since their prices were good, so my wife picked out her frames and sat down with them. The lady kept telling her about how much it cost before insurance and warning my wife how much the lenses she wanted cost, like we couldn't afford to be there. When she ran the insurance and told my wife the amount, my wife said she'd go ahead and pay in full right then. Her response was "Oh! Really?" The products they sell are great products, and their prices are very reasonable. But the people working at this particular store need to learn about how to treat everyone who walks through the door as a potential customer and not a potential thief or deadbeat.

I go to this particular location because it happens to be up the street from me. And I am so happy…read morethat I did! From the front desk lady Samantha to The Office Manager Robin to Dr. Kyle Marr they are the best. I actually look forward to my eye appointments. I have wanted to switch to contacts for awhile but because I have a Astigmatism they just don't seem to want to cooperate with me. But Dr Marr went above and beyond trying to get me ones that would would work. He always spends the time with me helping try lenses and seeing if they will work. He is never in a rush to get to the next patient. He is just all together friendly. Which is why the three of them work so well together. They just mesh well together to make your visit a pleasant one. Robin takes care of helping you with your glasses and is uber patient because well, I am THAT patient! "Hmmm, I don't know if I like these ones or these ones or maybe these ones over there! Wait maybe I'll go with sunglasses! What do you mean you got rid of the Marc Jacobs line?!" Yeah that's me. And let's not forget with the virus in effect that every pair you try on has to be taken away and sanitized before going back out. But she never bats an eyelash. Also because I'm joking about most things. Which is what you want out of a doctors office no matter what type of doctor it is. To be able to banter back and forth. So if you are in search of an eye doctor, I am ALL for Insight Vision in Lenexa. Plus they are right off K10! Super convenient. But make sure you tell them Aundrea sent you!

The doctor was fantastic; he was nice, honest and well educated. Picking out the glasses experience was just as good with the ladies even staying late to help us so we didn't have to come back the next day. The glasses selection was good and the prices were so affordable- they have a sticker system so there's price points which make it much easier than taking every one off the rack. Awesome place!

The medical staff here is awesome! I was so pleased with the thorough, professional treatment,…read moreduring my appointment, that I decided to get my eyeglasses here too. This is where my rating went from ALL the stars allowed to 2 stars. After choosing frames from the clearance rack, that would be 100% covered by my insurance, and making verbal note of my limited funds, I was handed a bill for $690.00 AFTER insurance deductions. Just bifocals, BTW. I was able to get them to drop one level on lens material, for $100 less. He said it was better anyway, but did not explain why he initially put a lower quality, higher priced option on. I was then told that the glasses would be ready in "no more than two weeks" and I would get a phone call. This was the first of four promised phone calls I never received. Three days later, I went to another eyeglass place, ordered a nearly identical pair of bifocals, but tinted, for sunglasses, and a pair of single vison, computer desk glasses, both with every coating available, and both pair with no insurance coverage at all, and paid a total of 1/3 the amount I paid Thompson Eye Clinic, for the single pair. 6 days later, I had both pairs in hand, and they were perfect. At the two week point, I called to see when I could come in, and was told they were not ready, but he would find out why and get back to me. Several days later, after hearing nothing, I called again. He said they still weren't in, and the status made him think something was wrong. I was placed on hold for nearly 20 minutes to then be told my first lenses were broken during grinding, so they had to start over. Then my second pair failed inspection, so they were starting over a third time, so it would be "another couple days, he would call me." I heard nothing, so called back 2 days later, and found the office was closed for that entire day. I waited until the next Monday, (today) STILL having received no calls, and was cheerfully told we were "right on track" to have them in THREE MORE DAYS (that is IF everything goes well)... The ONLY reason I agreed to pay more, for my glasses at this facility was that the Dr. and the Optometrist insisted the technicians was more qualified, and the lab was better. At this point, I have been without my everyday glasses for over a month, can't read, can't comfortably drive or watch TV, and have headaches. I have ZERO confidence in the lab making their THIRD (at least) attempt at grinding my lenses, have never once received a call from anyone at the office, and am out a ridiculous amount of money.
