I think this was the best experience I have had with a healthcare provider. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I got in to see the Doctor right away. Dr. Kinsey Honeyman was extremely thorough and caring. She answered all of my questions and more, and was very attentive to my needs and responsive to my questions. Her assistant, Cristi, was also very attentive and professional. When I came back to purchase glasses, Becky spent time helping me select just the right frames. The first set of progressives were a little "off", and she worked to redo the lenses with very quick turnaround. I can now see perfectly!! Really great doctors and office staff. I am wearing contacts for the first time and that adjustment phase can be challenging -- learning to put them in, finding the right brand and strength. They have been very patient and helpful in assisting me to find the right strength and brand of contacts -- supplying samples as needed and talking with the doctor to make necessary adjustments based on my experiences. After only about two weeks, I have found the strength and brand that work well and adjusting to contacts, which I never thought I would be able to do. They also went the extra mile in contacting my previous eye doctor to determine the lens type in my old glasses so that I could make a smooth transition to a new pair. My favorite thing about this place is how welcoming the environment is and how informal the staff are! I also love how they're not aggressive when it comes to choosing a pair of glasses! DO NOT GO HERE FOR A CONTACT EYE EXAM. I went in for an exam I told Dustin (the eye doctor) that I was nervous to be here because so many eye doctors have really messed up my eyes in the past. I've been through so many contact brands that I finally found one that I liked. I had a doctor in Iowa that got my prescription correct and with him my eye prescription had not drastically changed in 4 years, if it did it was only by 0.25. Dustin changed my eye prescription drastically. He gave me a different brand contact (he didn't have my brand in stock) and with the new script I had headaches for a week. My eyes would not focus and I felt cross eyed. This made my vision worse. So I went back to get it fixed. He said that if I felt cross eyed it was mostly because he gave me "too much" power. So he said he would drop the power in my eyes. In addition he gave me another brand of contact lense ones that I already said I hated but again he didn't have my brand in stock. I walked out of his office, I stopped in the foyer because I really couldn't see. My vision was once again blurry. I was incredibly dizzy, everything was distorted and swirly. I tried to focus my eyes and I really thought something was wrong. So I told Dustin he said you have 20/20 vision and sent me on my way saying to keep wearing them and my eyes will adjust. I could barely drive to get home. I wore the contacts for 3 more days and my headaches became more severe making me sick to my stomach. I called the office crying because I was so frustrated and needed something to be done. They said they would send a trial pair of my original prescription from Iowa to me in the mail so I wouldn't have to drive out there. Normally they don't do this but I had asked them to. I only received the left trial pair and not the right!!! It fell out of the mail envelope because they didn't use a strong envelope to put the contacts in. I said that's fine. That's on me because I made them mail it. So at this point I just said I want my old prescription from Iowa because I can see perfectly out of those contacts because like I said my vision really hasn't changed. I don't know if Dustin has the expertise to be an eye doctor because all he did was make my vision worse. He did write me my old script. Then I asked for a refund for just the contact lense portion of the exam because just like when something is given to you broken you send it back and most places refund. I did not ask for a refund for the regular eye exam mind you I don't mind paying for things that actually helped me and did good service for. But he didn't help me contact wise.... he made me sick and my vision worse!!! He would not issue a refund for just the contact lense exam. I basically did the work myself, I gave him my old prescription and he re-wrote it... NOT WORTH THE $60 HE CHARGED ME. The last thing is that he lied he said he changed my power on my prescription. No he didn't he changed the cylinder and the axis on my prescription and that is why the 2nd time I went in the prescription was worse because he then dropped the actual power. Then on the phone he said he gave me 50% off on the contact eye exam when he only gave me 25% off. It's just a bunch of lies! The only thing good about this place is the incredibly nice staff (Jori and Steven) I felt like they were empathetic enough to try and help me. Don't go here!!! It's not worth your eyesight getting worse or the headaches you will receive!!!! read more

In all honesty my last eye appointment was years ago because I hated going to the eye doctor. Well not anymore! I LOVE Highpoint Family Vision. Dr. Honeyman was so great with explaining what was going on with my eyes and things to look out for. The front desk staff is seriously out of this world amazing. My husband and I both had to get glasses and we took a long time picking out exactly what we wanted. They were incredibly patient and very honest with their opinions so we know we made the right choices. We also ordered sunglasses and when we went to pick them up they helped me adjust both my glasses and sunglasses (super crooked ears, not the glasses fault). They spent almost 30 minutes adjusting them to make them perfect for my face. I highly recommend them and I will definitely be going back! read more

I went to HFV because the optical department where I previously went -sucked. WOW. I went to HFV to buy glasses only. Cristi was awesome (not pushy at all) the moment I stepped into the business. She was attentive to my needs and assisted me in style/color I was searching for. I visited 2-3 times just because of schedule and thinking it through/picking out the right frame. Cristi gave her honest opinion how frames looked on me. She 'hung in there' w/ my visits and I finally had time to buy the glasses this week.
