I spent about $500 3 weeks ago for frames and haven't heard from them since. Guess it's my job to track these down.

Joe is a peach. He was informative and considerate of my needs. Give him a raise. But the guy in the back got my prescription wrong, so I had to wait two hours instead of one hour. And I'm not sure he got it right this time. read more

I stopped in to take advantage of being able to get different glasses if the current ones just aren't "the ones". The associate asked questions and made sure the switch was possible and that the new frames would work for me. She helped me find the right frames by showing me frames in every price range (the glasses I was switching out were pretty high end). I found the perfect frames and the associate checked with the lab manager to make sure my prescription would fit in without issue. My prescription is a little strong and I have to be careful not to choose the wrong frames - big frames and my glasses are too heavy for comfort. Too small and my field of vision is compromised on the edges. With her help, I found fabulous frames and can't wait to get the call telling me they're ready for pickup. read more

This is my complete review of the LensCrafters in Oak Park Mall, after 2-3 visits over the span of 3 weeks in May 2019. Let me start by saying, they have a solid collection of frames, male, female, kids and unisex. Likewise, they carry a handful of designer brands, which may contain somewhere between 8-12 different frames. Let me go further to say, that my sales experience was not the best, because I felt like my [initial] sales associate, Ben, was in a rush and unprofessional. I had presented my knowledge, my wants, and my expectations of the thinnest hi-index lenses they offer. I was sold on a frame and lens, being told that they are the best lenses. However, later that day, I revisited and spoke with another sales associate, who informed me that 1.60 index lenses aren't the thinnest available in the Hi-Index category, but that 1.67 and 1.74 also were available for my prescription. So I upgraded and it cost me additional money. That said, sales experience was sub-par, but I am happy that they were able to modify my order, after original placement. When I came to pick up complete pair, they were helpful in, fitting my glasses. But eventually, knocked out my lenses and put it in a brand new pair (off the shelf). I appreciated that. But the manager or lead (the european), took the old frame and put it back on the floor. When there was something clearly wrong with it. Definitely questionable and unethical. That is the only reason I rate this location 3 stars. read more

Had an appointment 3 days away and they have decided to cancel all appointments through the end of the year, BUT if I get an eye exam somewhere I can always come back and buy glasses from them. F! U! Now it is another 2 to 4 week wait with anyone I call for an appointment. read more

I'm sure they are nice people. . . But they are also poorly organized and have seriously bad customer service. I have ordered two separate items from this store. Both misplaced, the first filed under the wrong customer name, the second just disappeared into the ether. But what is worse, they do not keep their word about promised follow-up. When I took the time to visit the store on Thursday after work looking for my missing frames, they promised to have someone call me the next day. Didn't happen. When I called again on Saturday about my missing order, they promised to call me back later on Saturday with an update. Again, didn't happen. They may not be in total control of items ordered from suppliers, but they are in control of whether they keep their word. There won't be a third order from this store or this chain. read more

The staff working at this store are kind and so helpful! My daughter needed her glasses quickly due to travel plans- the manager offered to go herself to another lab if hers couldn't get the job done on time. They were fast and professional! Really above and beyond in customer service! read more

Cannot say enough good things about this store. I was able to get my glasses and just 20 minutes when all the other places that I went to said it would be two weeks at least. Also they had an awesome discount going on 40% off. The guy who helped me was very nice and thorough. Could not be happier. 10 out of 10 recommend. read more

Rude. Rude. Rude. Eye Exam: went in asking for an eye exam ONLY, and asked if my insurance was covered which they told me they did. Did the whole thing, everything good. At the end they told me my copay was $40, which I was suspicious, I asked and they told me it was $120 without insurance so I was saving $80. If I owe it, I pay it, so just paid and went next door to checkout the glasses (fast forward, will talk about glasses on next paragraph but long story short they told me to call my insurance). After calling insurance I figured out my copay was supposed to be $15, not $40; I was calling for some other reason but they told me to call back the office. Called back to the doctors office and I told them what insurance told me, they NOW told me that it was because I got imaging of my eyes; to which I followed up with the question why? If I specifically asked only for an eye exam. The lady got rude and told me they could refund the difference but told that I would have to do an eye dilatation next year; which sounded more like a threat that anything and she repeated it several times while getting my card number for a refund. She got my number an immediately hang up; which was incredibly rude. Eye Glasses: went in, told the lady I didn't needed glasses but I just wanted to checkout different models. She sat me down and asked for my details, which I hesitated because I just wanted prices (I would check later with my insurance) but she told me that was the only way to get the right price; so I accepted. She seemed extremely knowledgeable, she recognized my glasses materials and info and got ones from the different options they had there which would match a similar configuration. And we waited... A doctor or something came asking her about some paper with info and she said it was in the trash, where "she has been putting all the important stuff" which seemed like a joke... but they kept looking for it in different trash cans, it started seeing serious. The guy told her not to worry about it, that he would "take care of her" later; he didn't mentioned it in a bad way but it sounded more kinky than anything which I felt was a little bit unprofessional given I was right there! After 15mins, she couldn't found my info on the system, told me I wasn't covered and told me to call the insurance if I wanted but she couldn't give me pricing. I then told her that that was alright I could figure that later if she could help me with the frame prices; which she again said she couldn't get me the right price because of the insurance problem and then grabbed the glasses she brought in the first place for me to take a look and went to help a different customer without me even standing from the chair I was there talking. Rude! Rude! Rude! Being said that, don't count on me having my eyes dilutes next year, cause I'm not going back there! Shoppers you are now aware of rudeness and sketchy billing practices; it's your fault if you go there after reading this. read more

If you're wanting glasses this place is decent real expensive but decent doctors and they have one hour glasses as long as you buy certain styles, and the number of available frames that didn't make me look like Harry Potter or stereotypical Halloween nerd was very few and far between. My major complaint was customer service or lack there of. There was never any explanation or apology for why it took an hour for the people selling me the glasses to talk to me. There was five customers in the store when I was there and two employees I've worked in retail almost all my life and I understand that you can have stressful times with to many customers and not enough bodies to help them. But at least give some indication that you notice their existence. This total ignorance of my person happened both when I went to buy my glasses and also when I went to pick them up "only an hour later". If you have money to burn and don't care about people caring about there customers then go here. Scratch the good doctors part as well, the prescription that I waited 2 hours to get wasn't the right one. Don't go to this place under any circumstances. read more

Poor customer service. I scheduled an eye exam for 5:30 and arrived 10 mins early. There was no clear direction for signing in until you approach the front of the store and see uncleaned pens lying by a sign-in clipboard (not Covid friendly). I proceeded to wait patiently for my name to be called for my appointment until 5:45 (when my name was finally called) only to be told I had signed in at the wrong entrance. I walked to the eye exam room's door (which was closed and did not look like customers should approach it) and explained to the secretary that I had a 5:30 eye exam. The secretary told me that I was too late for my exam, despite the fact they had made eye contact with me and clearly saw me waiting outside the room from 5:20-5:45. The secretary made no attempt to make my wasted time up to me and made me feel that it was my fault for the lack of communication and unwillingness to help customers. If you go here, know how to sign in because no employees will be kind to you if you do it incorrectly. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Was told in the beginning of the eye appointment my co pay was $25. When I checked out they charged me $120 for the eye exam alone without telling me. Way to go on your serious lack of communication. Check your bank statements if you book an appointment. Won't be returning! read more

I bought a pair of Rx glasses four years ago from the Oak Park Lenscrafters. I paid out of my pocket about $300. This did NOT include an additional amount of $ paid by my insurance. Today the glasses came apart at the temple. These do not have a pin, they are manufactured to fit together at each side and one of the sides just came apart. So I call the Lenscrafter store explaining what has happened. I am told they are not under any warranty. I ask if I am expecting too much for the $300-$500 pair of glasses they sold to me stay in one piece for four years. I am told that it just depends on what kind of care they are given. Oh, I see. So I call the Lenscrafters "corporate" office and am told via voicemail that they will not replace OR REPAIR them. Nice. NO MORE LENSCRAFTERS business from me! read more

Went there today as an emergency and I was treated great and jerry was very accommodating

The second I walked in the door I was greeted and helped out. The associate recommended a few pairs of glasses for my face and then gave me my space to look around. When I wanted to take a look at some of the high end designer glasses, they opened the cases up without complaint. Once I found the right glasses, the rest of the process was pretty quick. My only complaint is that they were telling everyone they can get the glasses done in an hour, but I couldn't get mine for another week. Not necessarily their fault since they didn't have my lenses, but I wouldn't make that promise to people. read more

I lost my Rx glasses over the weekend. Needed to get new ones by 6pm the same day. I went into the eye doctors next door to LensCrafters, where they take walk ins, and was pleased with the service and the speed! Next, I hand carried my Rx right next door to LensCrafters. I picked out some frames, and they called me in less than an hour to pick up. Glasses fit great, I can see great, and I highly recommend this establishment for your eyeball's needs! read more
