Appointments are always pretty much on time and I'm usually in and out at a pretty decent rate. I've not gotten glasses from them but I do get my contacts through them. Definitely recommend checking them out if you're in need of eye care.

They also take time to talk to me and explain why they recommend certain tests and how it reflects on my eyes.. I'm not sure of her role but she knows what she is doing and on top of everything. She took care of the previous problems I had. I walked out with what I needed! I also spent far less than I had been quoted at other places. The only downside is their transition lenses font change in the car. They don't offer those but they are less expensive as well. So far that hasn't really been an issue for me but it could be something I have to deal with at some point, I'd recommend them because I'm pleased with my glasses and Nanette is so good at taking care of the customers. I didn't think it was a stye, but hey, I'm not a doctor, so I just went with what he said. He referred me to another facility. Once I got to that facility weeks later, turns out, he was incorrect and should have never sent me to the other facility. The facility that he sent me to works very closely with him so they were very surprised when I showed up and everything that he had sent was incorrect. The other office apologized to me for making me wait and go through all of this hassle for nothing. They were pretty shocked about what happened. He wasted my time and my money, and I ended up having to go for a third appointment somewhere else. That also postponed my treatment. Dr. Schwerdtfeger (Dr. Joe) would not recommend. If you are a doctor and you were unsure of the next steps a patient needs to take, tell them that. I would have more respect for a doctor if they told me the truth, instead of sending me somewhere that couldn't help.

I ordered two pair of glasses that were identical to each other except the color. The young woman who measured for my bifocals apparently came up with different locations for the transition despite the frames being the same. When they arrived, the transition was so high in one pair they had to be sent back. The employee that was helping me on my second visit said it was very obvious they were too high and she knew I would want them adjusted. Thank goodness I could take one pair at least! Also, the glasses have like a "fishing line" that holds the lenses. The knot was not hidden and the end protruded. The ophthalmologists are very friendly and…read morereally good, but over the last year I have experienced what I consider to be questionable business practices. I was a patient for over 12 years, but I am probably not going to be anymore. Let me disclose somethings that they do NOT disclose until you are already done: 1. If you bring in an outside pair of glasses, because you don't like what they have in stock - they will charge you at least $20 - even if they are filling the script and you are their patient. You brought in a pair of glasses that was not purchased through their store. 2. If you get cataract surgery, and you later need a pair of readers, they sold my father an (81 year old man) readers that cost over $700 which could have been purchased OTC for less than $50. 3. Also, if you wear contacts - they will charge you $85 - not covered by most insurance. Doesn't matter that your prescription hasn't changed, they just want the additional $85 - as "there are materials involved," so I was told. I don't recall anything different from any other eye exam. It ended with, "we have to renew your prescription." So there it is - $85 to renew prescriptions.
