Love this place, especially Dr. H. They are friendly, prescriptions accurate and easy to work with.

This place should get 6 stars. OK, so I've been wearing glasses for about 35 years and I've been to my fair share of Eyecare businesses across multiple states and I must say, Eyeconic is probably the best one I've been to. By far Dr. Hawk is the nicest, non stuffy, and knowledgeable docs that I've ever put in trust of not only mine, but my whole families, eyes. They have a beautiful office with a great selection of frames and the largest selection of Oakley frames I've found. Staff in all businesses tend to change however even the the new(ish) girls have always been inviting and personable with a level of knowledge far exceeding anything you'll normally find at your local mall eyecare centers. Eyeconic deserves your business, I know I will be back. read more

Eyeconic Eyecare - Eyewear & Opticians Near Me - Independence, Missouri

I wrote a review the other day and tried to update it, no success in that. So I am writing a new review in hopes that the 2nd opportunity that I am giving the company is reflected in my review. I spoke to the owner and another associate and they both apologized for the experience I had and they are taking steps to make sure that no one else experiences the same thing. I want to thank both Jill and Dr. Hawk for taking the time to listen to my experience and take care of the problem. They agree it should have not happened, but it did and they will try to get the training to the other associates so it doesn't happen again. They spent time taking care of both mine and my husbands issues on 3/27. Thank you. read more

The were amazing first eye place I've went to in about 5 years and they brought my eyes back to life. Every worker was extremely kind, they were workable, and understand, most definitely will be coming back read more

I went to EYECONIC about a year ago, a bit skeptical because it is not one of the larger eyecare facilities in the area. What a pleasant surprise! Dr. Hawk is amazing - he is patient, he is caring, he listens, and he wrote the best lens prescription I have ever had. I have worn glasses for 70 years - some were "ok" and some were definitely not. One pair I threw in the trash after 6 months of rechecks and adjustments. The glasses took a bit longer to get than I had anticipated. But the lady in the office explained to me that when they came in from the lab, Dr. Hawk was not completely satisfied with the lenses so sent them back to be redone. The office has the latest technology. Instead of writing all over my glasses with a marker like other eyeglass places, EYECONIC has a machine that quickly measures where each strength of the lens should go. I don't ever want to go anywhere else! read more

I am writing a poor review for this company for not standing by its policy. I purchased a pair of glasses paying over $400. On receiving them, I made an appointment with my doctor to have them(and myself) checked. I could not get an appointment within eyeconic's 30 day warranty window and I was seen slightly past the window. My prescription changed and according to the eyeconic website: "If your prescription changes within 6 months from shipping date, we'll exchange your contact lenses or the lenses in your frames so you can continue to enjoy the view. You will need to provide us with your updated prescription to honor your request." I sent in my new prescription and my request WAS NOT HONORED. This is a company that does not stand behind policy. I wrote them stating out of fairness I would give them a week to reply getting no resolution before writing this yelp review. If you are in the market for glasses or prescription lenses do not purchase from eyeconic. They will lie and not stand behind their product. read more

They did not have my appointment set up, as I thought they did. Which I understand, mistakes happen. However, did not try to work my into the schedule once I was already there, even though they were not busy in any way. No apologies, just looked at me as though I was wasting their time. read more

Staff is always friendly and very helpful! I would 110% recommend this establishment to all my friends and family!!

After searching for glasses for sometime I went to Eyeconic Eyecare for the first. The staff was friendly, helpful and yes I found glasses that I love!!I They have a great selection of frames. Never again would I go to a chain store (vision works, eyemasters, etc..)I strongly recommend Eyeconic!! read more

Sorry, I had a poor experience there. I was the only customer in the store. One girl just did stuff on her computer. Another girl led me to the Ray-Ban section and told me to look around, then never came back. I knew exactly what I wanted. It made me recall Barnett Helzberg's line, "why do you make it so hard for me to give you my money". I left, and neither employee said a word. read more

This place was amazing. I just moved here and needed an eye Dr as well as new glasses and the works. I couldn't have made a better choice. I just happened to see the office and called. They got me in that day, and the service was great! read more

Wish I could give 5 stars! Dr. Hawk is great. I had an excellent experience when I went in for my exam and purchasing glasses. Unfortunately, the long wait I experienced when going in to pick up contacts (twice) is the cause for the star drop. read more

I wish I could give this place 5 stars, the doctor was definitely worth it, but the front office is disorganized and always seems like they are in training. Apparently Christie is the only one who really knows the business, because they always have to check with her. Then Christie is so busy she can't return calls or take care of problems in an efficient manner. My sons glasses broke (screw came out) one day at school. I dropped them off the next day for repair and asked how long it would take...the receptionist said probably a couple of days. I asked "for a screw to be put back in"? She said, I'll check with Christie and let you know. I called back the next morning to see if they were done and again was told she would check with Christie and let me know. I called back at 5:50 and Christie answered and said she was so busy hadn't even had a chance to look at them. I explained that my son really needed them for school and she said well if you can get here in 10 minutes I'll get them done". (Closing time). I said I couldn't make that, but we could pick them up Saturday if she could have them done. They called Saturday to let me know they were done. The fix lasted less than 24 hours. It appears that the screw used was very short, and they did not replace the rubber washer that all the other screws appear to have. I took our my dollar store glasses repair kit and repaired my sons $500.00 glasses with a longer screw, no washer. I'm not sure how long it will last, but I hope I don't have to take them back to eyeconic for repair. read more

Let me start out by saying that we loved the doctor. My family has been patients here for 3 years, and he has always been so good with my kids. However with that said we will never go back on account of an incident that happened with one of the ladies on his staff, Christy. Yes this incident happened outside of her job however I truly think that if this is how you treat children why in the world would I ever want to bring MY children to your office for anything. So this is what happened. I took my 9 year old daughter and three of her friends to Worlds of Fun (amusement park) for her birthday. As girls do they were screaming on the ride (I was not on it with them) and yes, screaming excessively. Christy thought it was appropriate that once the ride was over, to go and SCREAM in my daughters face! However what she didn't know was that we knew who she was. As a mother it was everything I could do not to confront her right there and then, however I had 4 girls with me and thought better of it. So I slept on it for rest of the weekend and decided to go speak to her and her boss about why I wouldn't be returning to the practice. I ask to speak to the Dr. privately and asked for her to be brought in, of which she was. She said yep it was her and had the attitude of proud of it. She said I should have controlled my children, however what I find funny is she can't control her 40+ year old self...the whole conversation she was rude, argumentative and did not apologize once. I have it recorded and would love to be able to add it to this review. So the reason I am putting this on here is because I thought for sure the doctor at the very least would be calling within a few days and maybe apologize on her behalf, considering he just lost 6 patients on her account. However that didn't happen, which just goes to show these may not be the best people to do business with and I will never give them another dime of my money. read more
