I am not sure why the staff thought she was under the influence of alcohol or drugs because she clearly wasn't but they proceeded to call the police on her and tell the police that she was under the influence of alcohol yet the staff still treated her for her visit. If she was really under the influence of alcohol wouldn't medical professionals not be allowed to treat her? I don't think the staff would've treated her because it's probably a liability to treat a I patient that's under the influence of drugs or alcohol. I was an appalled by them treating her this way when the woman was just was coming in to get a new prescription for her glasses and I witnessed her behavior. She was not under the influence of anything for the staff to call the police on her is absurd and extremely unprofessional. I will never go here again after I witnessed how they treat their patients very unprofessional receptionist, staff, and definitely the medical staff. I don't know what this lady did for them to treat her this way, but she didn't deserve that and I will never go there again and I will tell all my friends and everyone I know how this poor young lady was treated and how no one should ever go to insight vision center off Lone Elm in Olathe, Kansas. Took my 3 year old here to get an eye exam. The doctor proceeded to take her prescription manually, I was SO impressed with his patience and professionalism. Then, after that, the doctor suggested that we go back to the machines and try again. He was able to get pictures this time! The machine read her prescription as the EXACT numbers that he had recorded during his manual examination. The man behind the desk urged me to bring her back if there were any problems with her glasses. They ended up slipping down her nose a bit so I took him up on that. He fixed it in a matter of minutes and they have fit perfectly for the last 3 months!! I cannot emphasize enough how impressed I was and how grateful I am to this location. They go out their way to help you get the particular eyeglasses frame you like or suit you best. Doctor Bloodgood is a godsend angel to help you see better -- she is definitely the best. She is so dedicated to her patients. Her level of services is very personalized, as opposed as other places where you are just another patient. I have unique vision problems and she is so patient with me and answers all my questions with clarity. After my last visit to her office, she took her time to research for me which visual assistive equipment (out of thousands available in the market) would help me better based on my needs and lifestyle. The office sent me a text with her recommendation. My wife is also completely satisfied with the level of service at Whitesell. The first pair of glasses were not helping her with her visual needs. Once I got to that facility weeks later, turns out, he was incorrect and should have never sent me to the other facility. The facility that he sent me to works very closely with him so they were very surprised when I showed up and everything that he had sent was incorrect. The other office apologized to me for making me wait and go through all of this hassle for nothing. They were pretty shocked about what happened. He wasted my time and my money, and I ended up having to go for a third appointment somewhere else. That also postponed my treatment. Dr. Schwerdtfeger (Dr. Joe) would not recommend. If you are a doctor and you were unsure of the next steps a patient needs to take, tell them that. I would have more respect for a doctor if they told me the truth, instead of sending me somewhere that couldn't help.

She and her team were patient, helpful, and listened to all my concerns. They have equipment that can image the inside of a patient's eye without requiring dilation, but to make me feel better and to give my retinas an extra thorough look, they went ahead and dilated my eyes, too. I was thrilled to find this office so close to where I work downtown. I looked at who was a…read morepreferred provider with my vison insurance and I was able to schedule an appointment online. The assistant was great at taking my eye measurements, then scanning my retna. Dr. J. Strickland is my new optometrist. She went through the vision tests and explained the retna pictures and my eye health. I look forward to seeing her next time I am due for an exam. When it came time for the cost breakdown, the assistant went over what my insurance covered, my co-pays and coinsurance. They didn't have my contacts in stock, so they will be arriving in 5-7 business days. I was lucky to score a parking spot on the street out front, but I am not sure if they have a parking lot available.

I couldn't see my computer, I couldn't see to drive and I couldn't see to read. The prescription they gave me had a small hole that I could see out of; I felt like a fool trying to find it. Before I left, I told them this and they just said, "you'll have to get used to it". I brought them back and asked for an alternative. They're terrible also. $400 for readers and I still can't see. The guy made them so big they slip off. I can't take off any more time off work to get these straight and apparently I don't have any other options. They didn't give a care to ensure my prescription was right or the fit. Wasted time and MONEY.

I went back to get another pair the following year, but the lab made an error in the lens, so they had them remake them; And again they were not right!
