I received some of the best eye care from Dr Anna. She really gave me super specialized knowledge and actually recommended I get contacts. She informed me of the numerous health benefits I could experience from just that change, and no doctor has been honest like that with me. I've had terrible eyes since I was 9 years old. There were no sales tactics to buy glasses or getting upsold and they genuinely are concerned about your health here. They were so transparent about the costs of all the testing that they had and they gave me the right to refuse anything at any time. Called for an appointment. Recording said schedule appointments on the website. On the website I selected 8:50 AM on a Thursday. Received a call from staff asking about my insurance. I said I'd present my card when I arrived for my appointment. No mention of Thursday office hours. Received a text confirmation saying be there 15 minutes early to take care of paperwork. Arrived early at 8:40, only to learn the office didn't open on Thursdays until 9:00. Waited! Told the doctor that I was trying to decide if eye pain was due change in prescription or recent sinus infection. There was no consult about choosing between a medical exam or vision exam. After my exam, I was told that my issue could be vision related or prescription related, which I already 100% knew. That's why I went in. However, to conduct a vision exam, I'd need to return for another appointment. To the best of my recollection, all things done in my medical exam where also a subset of what's done in a vision exam. It seemed it was in their best interest to put their priorities of getting me in for a second visit ahead of my actual patient care. This visit was a total train wreck! read more

Had the worst experience today. Front staff were relatively welcoming, but the lady who took me back to run testing was absolutely horrible. She tried to bully me into dilation and shamed me after saying "no, thank you" THREE times. Then we got into a sort of awkward, angry stare-off competition. Plus, she smelled of cigarettes and regret. I obviously left and never got to see the doctor. Word of advice, dont smoke before meeting with a patient, its disgusting. 0/10. read more

Great place to get an eye exam. Very flexible hours and pleasant staff. I always see Dr. Cossette, and he is knowledgeable in his craft. They recently remodeled their front waiting area, but I feel the last one was good as well. Great selection of eyewear, and they really work with you if ever have any issues. Worst place ever! Don't go to this place unless you want to be mis diagnosed with a horrible eye condition. I went in and was told I had macular degeneration. They scared the crap out of me. I went to a retinal specialist who said I did not have it. When I tod them they were wrong they didn't bother to apologize or anything. Everyone here is super sweet and helpful! Both my husband and I go to them for our exams and eyewear. When we went in for our appointments, we were seen immediately. They had one machine in particular that I wasn't used to using - a machine that allowed the doctor to see the retin without dilations which was nice. Dr.Chris Cossette takes his time and clearly explains the whole process and his reasoning for his recommendations. VSP In-Network Provider! After shopping around for frames for some time now, I'm glad I decided to check this place out. They have a good selection of frames. Good selection of affordable frames and some of the name brand ones such as Ray Band and Coach weren't too overpriced. Service was exceptional! Irish was very helpful. Since my prescription is very light they'll be available the next day. This made me extremely happy because, I've had my existing frames for 4 years now! Time for a change :) What made me even happier was my bill. 30 bucks. And, there's a promotion going on right now where I'm eligible to receive a $10 rebate for purchasing Crizal lenses. Got my money back from them. As it turns out, I think I am better off without prescription lenses. Plus, the aggravation I go through each and every time is not worth my time. So, as far as eye exam, I would rate them excellent. They were able to determine what I needed as far as strength and to adjust for a small amount if stigmatism when other professionals could not. As far as lenses and staff, I think they need better training. The areas they seem to be lacking in are selling the right product to a person (not just selling the progressives which are the probably most expensive) and measuring peoples eyes accurately, and not acting like the consumer is lying when he/she states that the lenses are incorrectly made. Went here for my first eye check up in oh, let's just say, three years. The place is easily located three minutes from me (score!) and was nicely put together. The three ladies at the front desk were very helpful and smiled. I had some paperwork to fill out but was taken back quickly after that. As for Dr. Drake, he was nice and held good conversation, a feat when you're all of five inches away from a stranger's face. I was pleased, overall. I was told a new patient appt would take about an hour and I literally left 59 minutes after I arrived. Perfect. read more

We've had great service since we moved here in 2005. Dr. Drake found and treated a dry eye issue for our son. We had no idea that there was a problem so we were very thankful that it was caught at his annual check-up. On another occasion, Dr. Zybko met us at the office, after hours, when our daughter was experiencing severe eye pain. Turned out she had an eye infection which we then treated. A month ago, our son was experiencing eye discomfort. The staff worked us in that morning and Dr. Zybko diagnosed and started treatment for a double eye infection. We've been very happy with the service we've received from the staff and from Dr. Drake and Dr. Zybko and highly recommend Custom Eyes! read more

I have been having my eyes checked here for a few years and am always glad with my decision to go here. The visits are always quick and efficient. The doctors are knowledgeable and answer any questions I have. Everyone is friendly and courteous, and they've made an effort to make the eye exams as comfortable as possible. Dr. Cosette is awesome! He's super friendly and make getting an eye exam fun. I'm a hesitant person when it comes to getting my eyes checked, haven't had the best experiences. The staff at this location made me feel at ease and let me take my time when doing the pre eye exam testing. I had to get my eyes rechecked 3 times because the new lenses were causing me to have headaches. Dr. Cosette never gave up or made the issue feel like a burden, he tried many different things to figure out the problem and I'm thankful he figured out what was wrong! Great place to get eyes checked. All the docs are very nice and knowledgable. They have all the machines even the one that can take pictures of the back of the eye. So its nice not having to dilate your eyes and having to struggle to see walking out. All the girls are very helpful with checking you in and also with picking out your lenses. I stopped by to try on and order my glasses two minutes prior to closing and they were not fussy about it. They readily helped me out to get my new glasses. Good customer care!!! read more

I have been going to Custom Eyes for years and have been very satisfied with the doctors examine. The problem I have had the last two years is the high pressure used to try and make you order your glasses before leaving from your exam. Since I have always purchased my glasses from them there was no need for such high pressure tactics. I do not plan on going back after using them for so many years. read more

I have been going to Custom Eyes for approximately 10 years and each time I am treated with respect by a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They assist with all of the minor eye tests, fitting and repair of your glasses, as well as insurance information. If they don't have an answer they generally find out the information and have it before you walk out of the door. Custom Eyes honors their warranties without hesitation, I've had to use it. I believe I have been seen by all three doctors at one time or another over my time with them and all are very respectful and will take what time is necessary to make sure you understand about your eye health before you leave. I know I could go to discount optical companies for much less and see whomever but for my eye sight I am sticking with quality instead of quantity. I strongly recommend Custom Eyes. I travel 20 minutes one way for their service and farther if needed. read more
