Visited August 2nd..see my receipt. After having lunch in Willows I wanted to check out the Walmart that they have. Although i don't consider it a "Super Center" it had a nice selection of fruits and vegetables along with meats. I was looking for a specific candle but they no longer carry it. The employees said they don't do oil changes at this location. They have very minimal furniture selection. Everything else is what you would expect from a Walmart. It appeared to be clean inside. BTW..they are remodeling so there is only 1 bathroom inside the store (by the front when you walk in). They did set up porta potty areas to the right of the entrance. I will visit again when I am in the area to see what they have as I wasn't able to spend much time in here today! read more

A quick stop for supplies and a rest room break, I found the store to be in decent condition with some "holes" in the stock but enough alternatives that I could put together some sliced meats and cheese, bread, drinks, snacks. There were carts in the cart corrals and some trash on the ground in the parking lot. I've seen better. Men's room needed attention with paper on the floor but otherwise clean. The checkout was smooth and quick. I've seen better Walmarts but I've also seen much worse. There are signs indicating that overnight parking is not permitted due to local ordinance but apparently the store tolerates it. I shopped there today. It's been at least four months since I visited the Willows location, I saw a vast improvement with Security and Police outside. The parking lot was way cleaner. I was greeted on the way and there were plenty of cards available. Asked a couple questions to team members, and they were eager to get me the answers. I saw people at the fitting rooms and the store looks very clean and put together. There was a very huge produce selection. A lot of items were being marked down. I don't know if they were doing inventory or something, but there were lots of managers physically working and staff everybody was super friendly and nice. It was a great experience a lot different than the previous ones. Hopefully they keep that up if they want our business because their prices have gone up considerably. read more

I have shopped at Walmarts for 50 years. I began in Arkansas where they originated. We have lived in many places, and always been Walmart customers. All that to say,I have enjoyed shopping with Walmart in Willows very much. The employees are the best! Always friendly and helpful. Prices cannot be beat. As a senior now, I appreciate their delivery service very much. As far as I am concerned, Walmart is like family. read more

The worst. The fresh food is no longer fresh. Went shopping this week and about ten bags of salad had sliminess. Told the employee. She SHRUGGED HER SHOULDERS SND WALJED OFF! Purchased a fam pack of pork chops. They went bad in two days. There are always 8-12 people in smocks walking around but not offering to help. I guess corporate cares more about their bonus than the people in the small communities where Walmart opened and put the small hometown, local businesses out of business. read more

Terrible customer service. I was shopping at my local Walmart in the afternoon and there was only one cashier available, due to the amount of items I decided to go checkout with the cashier instead of self checkout. There was a line ahead of me and she was kind to them (White people) and when it came to me (Hispanic) she was extremely rude and asked for my I.D. To be able to pay with card (did not have anything that needed to verify my age fyi) while the other people ahead of me paid with card and they were not questioned or asked for I.D. I learned today that Walmart requires the original box to return something with all of the packing and all of the paperwork. If you do not have that you cannot return something I don't know about you, but I don't keep the box for a month. I bought a TV two weeks ago just got the box thrown away and guess what I'm out $300 because Walmart refuses to do returns without the original box. I don't know about you, but it's a lot easier just to go to Costco. read more

Management is absolutely terrible here. They are not responsive to phone calls, avoidant, and do not know how to carry their demeanors as professionals. One specific manager is specifically rude and was disrespectful to a customer unprompted. If you're unable to have a professional conversation, you should not be in a position of power. This was an afternoon/evening manager. Walmart needs to do better with their hiring process. You need to maintain some level of professionalism especially if your day to day job involves is a customer facing world. Marylin Green's customer service is not acceptable. She should not be dealing with customers. She is absolutely the rudest employee I have ever come across. She sat there smacking her gum at me the whole time I checked out. I let her know she was being very rude and she let me know "and I can do much more". Four stars for a Walmart? Yes! Why is that? Well like Kevo M. said, when you're in the middle of nowhere, you can often barely hope for a mini mart attached to a gas station like so many other track towns have. But Willows has a full size WalMart where you can buy just about anything you forgot from EZ-ups, tents, lounge chairs to beers, snacks and other creature comforts. It's nice that the employees are for the most part friendly and they try to help you find what you want instead of other WalMarts in more populated areas. The parking lot is a bit janky since they're doing construction but other than that it's perfect for anything you can possibly need while having a fun day (or weekend) at Thunderhill. Or if you're traveling up north / down south on a road trip and you forgot a travel pillow! read more

ROAD TRIP EMERGENCY! You've been on the road for 7 hours. You're tired. And then you discover you have a ROAD TRIP EMERGENCY. I do a quick search from a rest stop and find out this store isn't too far away and is easy enough to find. Road trip emergency solved. PRO TIP: The trees closest to the front entrance were covered in birds that like to shit on your car. If you don't want shit on your car, don't park under the trees. read more

i stopped by wally world to gabe a few things and like always i left with more stuff then i had on my list. one of those extras was a freeze dried ice cream sandwich. i told the cute check out gal i would leave a review about it. starting with the taste it's what you would expect when you suck the fun out of something. you get a hint of vanilla flavor between two slabs of cardboard. they say it's ready to eat, true. they say it's no drip, true. they say it's no mess, false! when you open the package you "will" get white powder ice cream on you i guess that's the no drip part. would i buy it again probably not. stick with something that melts in your mouth and drips on your shirt it's more fun if it's sweet and sticky...! read more

Some of the most unprofessional, rudest people I have ever met. They never have anything in stick, store is dirty, especially their restrooms. The people who work there are rude and uneducated. I was harrassed by one of their employees to a point I threatened to sue. The older women stand around in groups gossiping, instead of working. It's a cesspool of judgemental old bitties with no lives. I will never spend another dime in this place. The world's worst Wal-mart employee's are all transfered here. I've been stuck running for goods from nearby Thunderhill Raceway and every single time I go here, it some how gets worse. It is dirty, even for Wally World Standards. The "staff" is slower than frozen taffy and doesn't understand common English. When you're in the middle of BFE and you don't have your toothbrush, gatorade, hair gel, bunion cream, animal crackers, toaster oven, condoms, bagel slicer, 10 amp fuses, thong, AAA batteries, Woolite, shampoo, hemorrhoid cream, greeting cards, watch, firewood, christmas tree, tampons, sippy cup, sox, or chocolate; pull off I-5 and stop at Wal-Mart. Super clean Walmart! We ended up spending 2 hours in this store buying everything from household items, car stuff and beauty products. One of the cleanest and bigger Walmarts that we have been to. Staff was super helpful in directing us to find the items that we need. Had all of our hard to find items at a great price. Def a great addition to the Willow area should you forget anything prior to your track day or for us ladies who don't want to spend the entire day at the track. The best deal we got was the Starbucks unsweetened coffee in the glass jars that normally sell for $4 at a gas station which was only $1.50 at Walmart. My favorite purchase was Stash tea. Only $2.28 per box not on sale which is cheaper than Safeway's price during a sale. So if you have a truck or empty your car before you come, you can stock up! read more

Absolutely the worst pharmacist EVER. I wanted to transfer my medication from one pharmacy to this one, but after my experience I will absolutely not be doing that. The one lady who was registering me was the rudest and the most unfriendliest person I have ever met. And when u call to complain they will put u on hold and there you'll sit forever waiting for them to answer the phone! Possibly the best Walmart I have ever been too around the nation!!! Lots of selection with the traditional Walmart; actually better stocked than most! I got asked by three or four employees how I was doing or if I needed help!!! Amazing! The check out was fast and they don't charge for bags they have plastic still although not good for environment still a great value!!!! Larger selection all around with very low and competitive pricing! It was the only place to buy really ANYTHING since over an hour ago when we past Sacramento and based on reviews I expected to walk into something horrid and run out! Looks super new and is huge! It can get a little cumbersome to walk around since it's so large and spread out, but this is a good one stop shop. There is also a small grocery section where you can buy fruits and vegetables. The parking lot is also huge so it's easy to find parking. read more

The variety of items is satisfactory, but the Willows Walmart has far too many rude, unprofessional associates and management staff. The very "heart," or foundation of any business is its personnel, and kindness towards customers should be one of its main priorities. I personally recommend more advanced employee and management training that emphasizes this. read more

Walmart seems to have a new mascot! It's a friendly, energetic parking lot rat! I'm not being facetious, if it had a big fluffy tail I might try to hand feed it. It seems to be at home with the people there and savvy with the vehicles with the way he perches on a curb and waits for traffic before darting off on an adventure. I have seen it on many occasions and have been enjoying watching it scurry back and forth between the tree/bush islands, hanging around the cart corrals looking for some tid-bits of French fries or skittles and seeing the delight (or fear) of all who encounter him!! read more

Since it's the only place to go for any supplies, I end up at this Wal*Mart almost monthly, when I need something for the track day. Cosmetics and hunting supplies are plentiful, but grocery selection is plain bad, they are frequently out of stock on most basic items like bottled water. The store feels untidy and poorly-organized. read more

Really like my Walmart, I especially love the new foods at the deli depending on the day. Not just your standard walmart deli food. Breakfast sandwiches (ham or bacon) w/hash brown, pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw, mashed potato bowl, BBQ ribs, chile cheese fries, nachos, french dip sandwiches, French bread pizza, clam chowder, and soups. Also like the fact that you can choose different potato wedges, garlic, parmesan, or ranch. Just call ahead to see what the special is for the day. I'm sure you won't regret it. read more

There is a certain standard for wal-marts and that standard is about 3.82 stars. This one earns only 2 stars. This is a poor example of a Wal-Mart and I thought given the town demographics here it would be the most happenin' spot in town. Let me tell you a little story to illustrate the ways in which they are lacking. I come to sweltering ass Willows in late June for a track day and decide to come a day early for a little "vacation". My "hotel" has a "pool" so I need a tank top or some sort of bathing suit and some food for the big party I am going to have after my "swim" in the "pool". Well their grocery section is far more limited than even a basic Wal-Mart that has only dry goods. Their food is limited to chips and cheez-its and soda. Then their clothing section has only the strange RV mama type of active wear and no shorts except booty running shorts. They have a decent junior section, but no regular sized adult female bathing suits. I didn't see any men's swim suits. So since I can't go "Swimming" I am at least going to hang out in the air conditioned Wal-Mart and watch TV. Well their electronics section is very small and you cant stand more than one foot from the TVs because of how its laid out. The list goes on but somehow I spent 2 hours wandering around in circles at the Wal-Mart and only left with shampoo and eye drops. I wanted to buy things.. they just had nothing. read more

While this is one of the better Walmart's I find the cashier's do not know how to use reusable bags such as Chico bags. Maybe it's because they want you to purchase the bags in the store. I don't know but on more than one occasion and multiple employees/shopping trips they act like they have no clue or just don't want to allow the customer to use their own bags. Since the law passed more customers will be using reusable bags so perhaps Walmart employees should adjust to the idea as not everyone wants to buy Walmart bags and they should not have to. read more
