The pharmacy staff are not helpful, and on the verge of rude. (I make an exception for two individuals who've helped me a few times: they're GREAT and this review definitely does not apply to them. It's a pitty that they have to be lumped together with at least two of their co-workers who are awful.) I needed a prescription transferred to another CVS because I was traveling: eventually, the CVS in the town I was visiting called to let me know that they made multiple phone calls to the Orland CVS and weren't getting any help from them. They informed me that they were literally told by the Orland pharmacist that he "didn't have time for this" before he swiftly hung up on them. Don't have time for this? This is your job! Thankfully, I wasn't in immediate need of my medication, but I would have been in a very bad predicament if I was. I recently called to fill a prescription and as soon as he asked what day I wanted to pick it up and I'd responded, he hung up. There was a very fast "we'll have it filled by tomorrow," and then the click of a dead line. No goodbye, no thank you for your business, no chance for me to ask the questions I had to confirm he had marked the right medication for refill (they've gotten it wrong before). On top of that, he completely ignored my opening statements that I don't believe it's possible to get this medication by "tomorrow." It's quite particular and I always call it in with two weeks left of my supply because they usually need to order it. So, I'm left feeling that they likely chose the wrong prescription to refill and that it won't be done when they say it will (even if they did get the medication correct). I play this game with them every three months and it's such a hassle. But, being the only CVS in town, which is the preferred pharmacy for my insurance, I have no choice. read more

Terrible pharmacy customer service. Dr called and said would phone in a prescription for my dad the morning after an ER visit. I go to CVS at 5 and was told there was no prescription and I should call the dr. I called the hospital who indicated they called it in on the recorded line at 1:30 (not an escript) Called cvs back and was rudely told I have no messages. Next day talked to hospital again and a nurse said she would talk to a live person and call me back. After an hour I called pharmacy and said the hospital had called in an antibiotic. Was told I don't have it. I said "NAME" from hospital said she spoke to someone in person at 10:15. The response was "oh an antibiotic I remember yes it's ready" very frustrating read more

Terrible pharmacy, the worst! They always say that they didn't receive a prescription. I work in a doctors office and fax prescriptions to them daily and I give the patients the paper copy to take with them because 9 out of 10 times they say they didn't receive it. I've stood there and told them to check the fax machine and they literally have stacks of faxes they have not looked at. read more

Absolute worst customer service EVER!!! The Pharmacy doesn't answer the phone when you call. Sat on hold for 45 minutes until I gave up. I then went in for them to tell me it will be ready in 15 minutes, so I said ok and I came back in an hour. Walk up to counter and they tell me it's ready but the pharmacist needs to mix and he is on lunch. WTF... it not ready then! This is the worst place to fill prescriptions. Today I witnessed the absolute WORST customer service at a Pharmacy ever. And I wasn't even the customer, I was with a friend that was attempting to pick up her prescriptions. Simple process usually, but it wasn't, because the clerk was being rude. The young Woman working the counter was so unprofessional, I couldn't help but notice. She seemed to be put out by having customers at her window. She upset 2 different other customers so much, that one stomped over to the store Manager to complain. What a fiasco! Seriously, she was angry at one lady customer because she could not read the ladies prescription - written by a Doctor. WHAT? This issue used to be common, before Doctors could send it through a computer. Inappropriate either way, since that poor lady was just trying to get her order filled- it wasn't her fault the clerk couldn't read the Doctors writing. read more

Worst and incompetent pharmacy staff ever. I'm taking my business elsewhere since they either do not know what they're doing, hence long wait times of nearly an hour, or they don't acknowledge you at all. They also will call and text constantly and then none of your prescriptions will be ready. They sometimes take months to fill any prescription. read more

This pharmacy is horrible, and the only reason I use them is they stock a medication that I and my mother take. The entire staff is unfriendly and act like they hate their jobs. They never smile and act extremely overworked and annoyed. I would complain to the manager of the store but he acts just like them. I've recently relocated to Orland and have found every other business very welcoming and friendly. Do yourself a favor and go across the street to Walgreens. CVS in Orland is the most unprofessional pharmacy there is! They are three days behind, and still cannot have the prescriptions ready on time as promised. We have been customers with CVS for almost 30 years and have always received excellent service, UNTIL now!! There has been a sudden change in the staff, as the great employees are no longer there, and have been replaced with incompetent ones, not to mention their rudeness!! I understand that there is always change, but in this instance, it was a huge mistake! We are very disappointed to say the least, and will not ever go back! This one-star rating definitely goes out to all CVS's I've ever been to nationwide. This location is a quintessential example of how corrupt drug-lords (CVS pharmacists) somehow are treated as professionals whose careless and impersonal hands hold many lives. Every aisle of this location is filthy and the staff is tremendously rude. I will say: the poor, elderly woman who I paid for a few products was very sweet. I watched as her gigantic, sequoia-sized, bald-manager treated her like a slave and humiliated her for not knowing something she shouldn't know (she was a new employee and a little slow, but innocently so). I hope that somehow this manager comes to grips with his ego and realizes that he is running a seriously broken & sick drug house. Literally just waited in the drive thru line for over 20 minutes (before i gave up). I was the second car in line. There were two cars behind me. We have been customers of CVS Pharmacy for many years, in fact, as long as the store has been in Orland and we were customers of Long's Drug Store who was bought out by CVS before that. The employees and the service are not the problem The store is just plain filthy and the management does not care because I have called it to their attention many times for many years. The front door has dust and filth growing on it!!! The windows are beyond dirty. They are disgusting!!! The spider webs above the front door and above the pharmacy window is proof that the store has not been thoroughly cleaned in years if ever. The floor is always dirty and gum is stuck on the tile areas. The store is grossly dirty and not a place where drugs should be sold or anything else for that matter. I have talked to management and he tells me that the company will not work with him. I have threatened to myself many times to just go across the street to Walgreens but I don't think it is right to do that without headquarters knowing how the people of Orland feel about their CVS Store on Newville Road in Orland, California. Store is nice, but pharmacy highly unreliable. Always problems getting my prescriptions in a timely fashion, particularly when they have to call it in to my doctor. My doctor wouldn't receive the requests and i would go days without. Once I switched to Walgreens., this was no longer an issue. read more

Store is bright and clean however pharmacy is beyond incompetent. I made repeated calls asking for prescriptions transferred from another CVS and after 3 days of being told it would be ready in a few hours they told me meds we're not in stock. To make it worse, stock was checked first time I called. Seperate occasions meds had to be ordered. Was promised a pick up time called back day after day after day same answer it would be in "tomorrow". Finally I went to store was told a tech would call on it but not for 2 more days ( he was too busy that day then off for 2 more and apparently no one else could make the call?) just complete chaos incompetence and total indifference. How they stay open is a mystery oh and BTW cvs, your dealing with people's health here going without antibiotics for 3 days creates a problem for some of us .... read more

This has got to be the worst pharmacy by far. Rude, rude, rude. The pharmacist won't even acknowledge your existence esp. when you have a question. He'll look right at you then ignore your presence. I tried to transfer my prescriptions to Walgreens across the street and waited 1 week for CVS to respond. I eventually had to go to CVS in person and demand the transfer be made. In the meantime I had ran out of a prescription that is essential to my health and body function but could not get it refilled because of CVS's laziness. CVS will also refill prescriptions without your authorization. You can even respond to their obnoxious texts about a refill saying "NO" but they will refill regardless of what you say. Even the automated phone response won't stop them from refilling a prescription. I've even placed an order for a refill in person and tried to pick it up the following day only to be told that the refill order was never placed (by me in person). You've gotta be kidding, right?! The staff at Walgreens was very accommodating and understood my frustration. They even tried several times by calling CVS to transfer my prescriptions while I was waiting. I'm probably waisting my time by writing this review because CVS will never respond to me but at least anyone that reads this will be aware of their poor performance and crappy attitudes. Good luck to anyone that uses this clown pharmacy. Oh, and BTW, I guess I have to give it 1 star just to post. Too bad it couldn't be -5!!! read more
