I would vote zero stars if it were an option. A Rite Aid…read moreemployee stole half my opioid pain medication. I had a prescription for 30 hydrocodone opioid pain medication pills. The container label stated that there were 30 pills in the container. I did not count the pills at Rite Aid when I picked up the prescription. When I got home I saw there were only 15 pills in the container. No way it could have been an honest mistake. A Rite Aid employee stole my pain medication. This theft is causing a world of pain for me. Store management refused do take any action for me. I could not reach anyone at Rite Aid corporate HQ

Their inside service window is broken (I can't describe what it is or how it's damaged, but this amounts to having to shout my name, medications for pick-up, and birthdate for everyone in the vicinity to hear. It then amounts to back and forth from a broken window to a window for payment and pick-up). This will not be fixed for months - if at all. This caps a horrible pharm tech who refuses/refused to help people when she didn't feel like it. She'll leave you feeling insane because she's rude with a friendly smile and quiet, passive agressive demeanor. I was told that I was irresponsible for not knowing the whereabouts of my primary provider, who works in three different sites, and because of this, she'd make no efforts to request my refill. How is this legal or ethical? It's not. I was told, after stating that I've gone into dark clinical depression/suicidality in the past without this med, that I was "threatening" and thus I was blasted and treated horribly. Outrageous. When I finally spoke with a supervisor personally, he scoffed at me for asking for the Pharmacist who's a friend and always cordial. "He's not a supervisor." Arrogant. He gave me a short-term refill and informed me I'd still be in trouble. Well I am. I've had to ration a dose that my primary provider had approved more than enough of. And I can't find a decent pharmacy to refill my life sustaining medication without anger, blame, arrogance, and violating my privacy. This place used to be that for me; it's instead causing a possible need for stronger meds.

I stopped in for a quick purchase--just a simple pack of pens--only to find they are now locked up. When I asked for help, one employee rudly directed me to the photo department, where I was then told by another employee that it wasn't her responsibility. Both employees were very rude and made it seem like helping me was an inconvenience. After the employee finally handed me the pack of pens, I couldn't help but think about how ineffective the whole system felt. If the purpose of locking them up is to prevent theft, what's stopping someone from just walking off with the item once it's been handed to them? It doesn't really make sense to me and just creates unnecessary frustration for paying customers. This experience was disappointing enough that I won't be returning. Goodbye, WM--hello, Target.

I'm not sure if it's CVS in general or this CVS in particular, but I would not recommend using this…read morepharmacy ever, under any circumstances. First, there is no way to reach the pharmacy by phone. You have to navigate the absolute circus of the robo-phone-tree, which continuously encourages you to use the dumpster fire that is their online portal/app. Once you are finally given the option to leave a message, that's it... you wait for a call back. I guess this isn't a big deal if you have a routine prescription or refill, but if you have a more complex or urgent Rx need... good luck, thoughts & prayers, etc. For me, a week after LASIK when I desperately needed Rx eye drops to alleviate longer than expected eye irritation, I was ping-ponged back & forth between my eye doctor and CVS trying to understand what the delay was. At first my online portal said they needed a prior authorization, then it just said there was "missing information" but no one could tell me what info was missing. I had to be the go-between, calling my eye doctor repeatedly on a Friday afternoon trying to get this sorted out before the weekend... to no avail. My ophthalmologist submitted 3 different eye drop prescriptions that afternoon trying to get me some relief before the weekend, and each one was held up for the same vague reasons. Finally, the following Tuesday after still being unable to sort out the issue with CVS on Monday, my ophthalmologist submitted the same Rx to Walmart, and it was filled within 2 hours without any prior auth, flags for missing info, etc. Shortly after this, I got a text from CVS notifying me that the prescriptions (yes, the ones that required PAs) were ready for pickup (?!?!) after my doctor's office confirmed they did not fill out any PA. Absolute madness!
