Errand to get vacuum (went online instead after this Walmart Run) since it wasn't available at this location. We ended up getting what we need for mango shake for the night and so much more. As I'm aging and in our San Antonio heat, I find my once-monthly major shopping trip to be more and more challenging, so I finally listened to my daughter's advice and tried Delivery. Game changer! All 20+ items in my order were correct, and the driver carried all those bags in one trip up my 30' handicap ramp! And at the scheduled time! Removed one star because I was unable to have even the most basic chit-chat with the driver who spoke next-to-zero English and zero / robotic personality. He was, however, driving a brand new Toyota, so I guess the pay is good. :) read more

I just came from the walmart on austin hwy. I was taking back a product that I purchased twice. I went to the customer service to return and was told that I need to provide a receipt or a number. To which I had none. I was looking on my email diligently and she just kept staring and looking at me. My daughter showed up and tried to provide the information needed. Then she said can you give me your phone number to look me up...she found my account which could have been done 10 min. beforehand but did not offer that opportunity until the last minute. I never do reviews but I am sick and tired of dealing with employees who hate their jobs and taking it out on customers....know your employees and monitor them or you will have a company that everyone complains about..something needs to be done tired of dealing with people that hate life ....not my issue to teach them to move the on. read more

Second time coming here to buy a fishing license. Second time we have left after waiting about 20 minutes at the counter. We asked a couple associates for help and no one has ever came to help us. Communication goes a long way, if there a limited number of associates in the store that can sell fishing/hunting licenses and they are all busy it would be nice to just know that instead of getting "she/he will be right over" and then continuing to wait 20 minutes with no help. read more

Neighborhood store is much better than the regular store unless you need something you can't find at the smaller market. The store is messy and difficult to find the right prices as well as scanners. Mostly self checkout which is fine but they should have cashiers for those that don't want to do it ourselves. read more

The location of this Walmart is in a very nice area of San Antonio and so clean! The employees really seem to love their job, or at least do a great job pretending because almost everyone who worked there gave me some kind of caring greeting! The aisles are very well stocked, clear, and organized. Not sure what has happened to this WalMart over the years, but it has gone downhill. I can't count high enough the number of frozen and refrigerated items i have bought that were spoiled/rotten. Today, again, purchased a cheese product, came home, to use it and it was rotten/green mold. I have bought this product so many times, the last 8 times, out of the 8, it was only good 3 times. Ridiculous!! Groceries are way to expensive for this nonsense. If the manager of the Leslie Rd WalMart does not know how to handle and instruct staff on the proper way to handle refrigerated products that may have been left out UNrefrigerated for any amount of time, then they should be held accountable and RETRAINED. If you are like me and shopping for a bargain for shelters this year stay away from this location. No customer service. Lots of run around "coach" Leo, "team lead" Melvin and cashier assistant all refused to honor store scanning price. Stating they do not have to honor scanning prices of differences of more than $10. When asked to speak to store manager he was conveniently at lunch at 1:00 pm. Leo stated that this current location only wants to use the online prices not the "in store" price on walmart app. Leo stated they are aware of problems with scanning price differances. But still keep adding items with scanning differences back to shelves. Leo stared that "it is unfair to honor differences for us regardless if they will be donated to less fortunate families because if he did then he'd have to honor them for others." read more

Honestly this is the first Walmart I have gone to in San Antonio that had fresh stocked produce that was neat and organized. I was greeted at the door and when I left which doesn't happen often anymore. They also had wide main aisles so you I wasn't trying to maneuver around people that stay stationary in the aisles. I asked a couple employees for help and everyone was friendly and very helpful. The clearance aisle was definitely a hit! They are following COVID safety measures appropriately and this has definitely become one of my favorite Walmart to shop at. read more

BLUF: This Walmart discontinued price-matching and has a serious line backup that makes customers consider abandoning their basket and leaving. Not worth shopping here anymore. Walmart has discontinued price-matching in at least 500 stores and are continuing to discontinue region by region. I was not aware of this. I just watched a Dr.Oz episode this week where it was advertised Walmart honors price-matching. Anyhow, this is one of the Walmarts that no longer honors price-matching. Unfortunately Walmart does not list which stores discontinued and you don't find out till you're at the register!!! After you've conducted your sales research! Supposedly, Walmart cut the prices in thousands of products and that is why they justify the policy change. But I don't care about the other products, I care about the items I was trying to purchase today. Everything I wanted was cheaper through Amazon and other stores hence I no longer need to shop at Walmart unless I'm in a Walmart that still has price-matching. Besides that like others mentioned, the lines here are always backed up even though there are several available unmanned registers. Just today I witnessed at least 5 employees gossipping by the fitting rooms instead of manning a register during peak hours. read more

Okay, I go to Wal-Mart only when it is the only place open or if it is the closest place to purchase what I might happen to need at that particular time. Went to the Customer Service today (05/22/2020) at 6:15 pm., the same lady who did not know how to process my tire return last time appeared. I did not see her name on her name tag. Again, did not know how to process a computer return. Again, needed to consult her colleagues. Used the laser machine to scan numerous barcodes but none of them worked. Eventually her colleague helped her out, but she put me to wait aside and started to wrap the computer!!! Then processed the return. Not happy! went to go buy some work gloves found some for $1.78. very excited I decided to get two pair. when I went to check them out it comes up as $12.88. I tell the cash year that that is wrong and the price that it's marked at is $1.78 and she goes and finds a manager. The manager goes and looks at the gloves in the aisle and fines about 10 pair of gloves under the markings of $1.78 and she tells me that it is wrong in her night staff must've put them there and I can't have them except for one pair. I said wait a minute I want to pair and she said well you can buy one for $12.88 but you can't have both of them for $1.78. I said I said they were marked at $1.78 and if I don't get them for $1.78 that is called false advertisement. she said that she beside the point and you can only have one pair. it is not my fault that she has incompetent evening staff that are putting gloves on the wrong price. This review is based on an experience I had with the electronics department (I believe Diego specifically) as well as with the asst. manager named Marta. I was looking for a TV stand for my new big screen and I found one that I liked for $199. I looked up that model online and found that walmart.com had it for $116 which is a large difference. I moved to San Antonio the day prior to my walmart visit and was hoping to pick up the stand right then. I asked Diego if they could match that price since it came straight from their website. He said no -the manager specifically told them they do not match anything. I then spoke to the Marta, the manager, and although I was a bit frustrated with not being able to pick up the stand for that great price then and there, she was able to explain to me exactly why they don't match prices. In my experience, it is rare to find good customer service at Walmart from multiple departments, and I am glad that I have moved next to a location in which that exists. read more

This is just another Walmart. I went there searching for a particular item and of course they did not have it and as usual at Walmart you always find something whether you need or not. The exception with this store there's a nice greater ready to check your receipt as you leave. When talking to him I am inquired that if they had that much theft that they have to pay someone to do this. He told me that this store alone has over $1 million worth of theft a year. Car Service Center - I'm usually very understanding but this was an awful experience. Showed up 8am, only two cars and was quoted an hour and a half At 8am- only two techs. Okay no big, I'll wait. I was approached in the waiting lane and I told them what I needed and was happy to wait in my car until they were ready since the waiting area is small and crowded...Another person approached me and I'm like, wow great customer service...approached a 3rd time and finally told by this guy (after waiting for 30minutes already) that I have to go inside to get signed up! The first two guys just let me sit there and wait and I almost got skipped because no one said I had to go inside! (Never used Walmart and no one asked if I knew their process either) Wait there's more, then I go inside and get signed up and wait. *After* my oil change is complete they tell me their vacuum *has been* broken and couldn't provide a full service. So I was like, okay no big deal, just give me a few bucks off. He proceeds to tell me he has no authority to make that call and there's no manager to do so. I said okay, can you just rotate my tires? It's like $10-just sub the service? Ugh, no ma'am, I can't do that either. Then I check my receipt and they documented that all things were done but they failed to wash my windows too. I know this is Walmart but come on. At least complete the service or offer some kind of discount. At the VERY least, tell people BEFORE they agree to the service. This is crap service and I feel like I got tricked into using them. Ugh never ever coming back here. Ever. read more

I like this Wal-Mart; I go here for grocery trips if I don't need a lot of produce. I can find mostly everything I need, meats are usually a good selection. I don't rely on them for produce, selection is slim and rots quickly once brought home. Pharmacy is stocked with the meds we use, a quick run-in if we need something last minute. I go early in the morning to avoid a busy store and I prefer to use the self check out. The computers have a mind of their own but 90% of the time, are my friend ;-) read more

This is Wal Marts customer service is the worst I've ever been at. I was trying to return some cartridges for an HP printer, however it appeared the transaction would be more the $100,so they couldn't give me a store gift card. I was told I had to do an exchange, so that's what we did, we ended up shopping to do an exchange, when we were ready waited in line to get back to the customer service desk and after waiting in line the customer service representative ended up messing up the transaction. She was ready for me to pay the difference which came out to be $174 so I did my debit, it said approved and then their computer said declined, so naturally she asked me to do it again, so I did after asking her to make sure I don't get changed twice. She assured my it didn't go through so I did the transaction again for $174 the system said approved but then her screen said decline, the. The system went out and zeroed out everything. I couldn't believe it. They said I would have to wait 24 hours before we can get our items, but when I check my account they charged me twice. So I was robbed by Wal Mart of $400. If I were to steal $400 from Wal Mart they would press charges against me, I don't see why I couldn't do the same. Stay away if you can and save yourself some money by working with honest people not like the ones at the Wal Mart off of Culebra and 1604. Good luck. read more

*RUDE* and *UNHELPFUL* employees. I went in to get paint mixed that is expensive at other stores. I waited at the paint counter for 45 mins with the promise that somebody would be there to help me. I ended up leaving and I came back another day and waited an hour after I got an employee to help me. The employee was unwilling & had no motivation to get the paint I needed. When I have him the color swatch he looked at me as if I was stupid. "You know this is Behr right?" He said to me. I told him yes, of course I know that, it's expensive. I wanted color place. He then started and said, "well you get what you pay for here." Like I don't know that! That's why I'm here! I cannot afford $80 paint! I kept my patience and he mixed the paint and the color was fine. It was his attitude that was horrendous. I walked out and I didn't complain, maybe he was having a rough day. On another day; same location, I ordered groceries thru pick up. I'm a registered nurse and I work 7am-7pm on good days. The day I had my order placed I didn't get off until 7:30. I rushed to this Walmart and I made it there by 8:05 and there was still an employee loading groceries into another vehicle so I thought I was good to go. When he's finished with the other customer, he comes over to my truck (I was still thinking everything was fine) & he said he'd go get my things no problem. He comes out with the cart and he says "btw, you were supposed to be here before 8. I only brought you your groceries cause I was still here, so..." ... What is that? I have worked in retail (a long time ago). I'm not entitled, I know how it is, but to say that? To a customer? Never! I wanted to walk in and return all the things I bought. Absolutely horrible experience at this auto center. I dropped my car off around 11:30am for an oil change and was told it would be an hour to two hour wait. My husband picked me up and we went to run errands. I get a phone call around 1:45pm to let me know the car was ready. When I arrive at the service counter to pay, the customer service rep and I both notice that the total was $0.00. I ask her why they were not charging me. After looking over the paperwork she realizes they did not service my car. She said the reason was my oil filter was on too tight and they could not get it off. I asked to speak to a manager because I had waited and my car was not serviced. He blamed it on the previous cashier saying he was supposed to call me right away and that there was nothing they could do about it now.
