I will say that their selection is not as big as some of the other stores that i've seen, but they still have some great deals. This visit, we got a pan to cook with, a phone charging card, some protein powder and even some beauty products. If you're looking to find some great deals, I would definitely recommend to take a walk around and see what you can find.

For example, who in the world wanted grapefruit flavored Listerine? Parking is plentiful but damn, the lot is run down so watch your step. Service is decent, selection is quite varied in particular in bedding and dry goods. As someone else pointed out, you can get great discounts on food products but be sure to check the expiration dates on some of them! YMMV but for my dollar this is a discount chain worth visiting.

While shopping in the safety section, I was clearly trying to find something and looked a bit lost. Gio, who was stocking shelves in electronics, noticed I needed help, stopped what he was doing, and took the time to ask if I needed assistance and if there was anything he could help me find. His willingness to step away from his task and genuinely help a customer made a huge difference. This was especially meaningful because, unfortunately, many shopping experiences lately have left me frustrated because employees often don't acknowledge customers or take the extra step to help locate an item. Gio did exactly what great customer service should look like -- he listened, cared, and made an effort to assist. Although the item I was looking for was no longer available, the service I received made the trip worthwhile. Before leaving, I decided I wanted to share my appreciation with a manager. I approached another employee, Jayson, and explained that I wanted to speak with someone about the excellent service I had received. Without hesitation, Jayson politely called for a manager and directed me where to meet them. His professionalism and willingness to help were another excellent example of what customer service should be. This was hands-down the best experience I have had in a store since before the pandemic. it's been two weeks now since they shorted me $100. First the person that was in charge that night…read morethat refused to give me my money back much less count the drawer to see if it was over short. Also would not give me his name nor the managers name so that when I came back, I could ask for them. came in the next day to see the manager. the assistant manager, Hispanic lady with blondish brown hair wears glasses. She has the gentleman the night before tells me they're not gonna give me the managers name. She didn't wanna give me her name. Tell me to come back the next day to ask for a manager. I called corporate headquarters and spoke to customer care. They were supposed to get a hold of the manager and speak with her. I would hear from her within 24 hours. 72 hours later, not hearing from her or anyone else with Dollar General I called again. It was supposed to be escalated to district manager that I would hear from them in the next 48 hours. I waited business hours. When I called in again this past Monday, they couldn't understand why no one gotten a hold of me yet. They were supposed to upgrade it to Regional Manager. I called again this past Thursday, and again they don't understand why no one has gotten a hold of me yet. Me neither! If I have to take them to court for the hundred dollars, they owe me I will because I know they owe it to me. I know I Did not get the money back from them. They keep talking to me like I'm some dumb woman who did not know how much money she had in her purse. I don't appreciate that. None of the managers have gotten a hold of me for this. When we go to court, I will win because they didn't give me the money back. They will have to pay for court and the hundred dollars they owe me and everything else.won't bother me none.
