Single worse shopping experience of my life. Today is my birthday, so we ordered dinner from Texas Roadhouse at Metro. I'm having surgery in the morning, so I needed to pick up some staples bc I won't be able to go shopping for a while & I'll be on a liquid diet for 4 weeks. I picked up 23 items, and then I got a text from the restaurant, the food was ready. This is a busy Walmart, but you can no longer go through self checkout with more than 15 items, which is fine, except they only had TWO REGISTERS OPEN. The lines were all the way to the produce section. I stood in line for 18 minutes while my food got cold in a bag at the restaurant & the line had barely moved. I finally got out of line & went to self checkout again, I begged them to just let me buy the things I had. They could even ring them up, I just had to go. They refused. I ended up having to leave the cart with $116 worth of groceries and just leave the store. I picked up dinner, went home, celebrated my birthday, and now I'm at another store to buy the stuff I wanted to buy earlier. If they're not going to let us use self checkout, then it's UNACCEPTABLE to have only 2 registers open, and they treated me like I was the problem. Super rude, unwilling to assist, you have to ring a damn button to get laundry detergent, deodorant, makeup, I had to push 6 buttons & wait for somebody be to show up. It's annoying that we're being punished for people stealing stuff, and when we have to interact with employees they're rude, dismissive, and disrespectful. I don't have that problem at any other Walmart. Luckily I never have to go to this one again. Have fun putting all that stuff back, while I buy it somewhere else. Highly questionable policy when it comes to purchasing such items as male undergarments. I walked in thinking it would be an easy purchase, yet it turns out that items such as underwear and male undergarment tee shirts are locked in large, glass cases in which you have to buzz an employee to unlock. Then afterwards, the employee has to escort these items to the front regardless if you have finished shopping or not. Let's not forget the area that this Walmart is located in. Roving security, multiple store employees at the front door checking receipts, bad attitudes from employees and customers alike is all that you need to know. I'd find another store where you would be respected as a customer, and not as a store shrinkage suspect. read more

I will say this location is very convenient if you're staying in the metro center area. The parking is a nightmare. They are to say the least a busy store. As expected well it's Walmart. Walking in you can clearly tell the staff doesn't want to be there. It really shows when you find yourself awkwardly asking for help. Between that and the alleged rollback pricing model which seems more like the price gouging post Covid apocalypse where seeing today. It almost feels like a bad grudge song from the 90s that's still fighting to stay in today's pop culture. Although it had its glory back in the day, I'm sorry to say it's a hot mess today. I frequent at this Walmart since I live in the area I decided to apply here My first week there my son who's 4 years old was sick got pneumonia really bad in bronchitis he was rushed to the hospital he was doing fine I had kept in communication with people's services she thanked me for keeping in contact with her the whole nine yards and said that's what we expect of our employees blah blah blah well not long after that my son was right back to the hospital for having fluid in his lung and had to have emergency thoracic surgery The day my son was emitted into that hospital I called down to that Walmart every single day up until today the 24th of March trying to get a hold of Shannon to let her know what's going on and that I if I should submit a leave request or not I didn't get a single phone call back I didn't get no communication I left several voicemails and called several times within a day's period just for her to call me back and do you think they gave me a call back no I had to come into the store and she wanted to tell me as if oh her and time is important because she has hiring to do but you couldn't even call your employee back when she asked you to My son is 4 years old I'm sorry I'm a single mom this is my only child and my son was very sick and wanted to tell me that you're going to terminate me cuz it's just too early in the hiring process You're about integrity bull crap you have nothing about integrity read more

Worst Walmart I've been in. I'm 21 years old and I was with my little sister who is 18. I was trying to get some alcohol for my parents party because they sent me on errands with her. I tried to get the alcohol and I got refused the alcohol by a rude Indian man at self check out because I'm "with a minor". The very reason I go here is I find most of the things I need at this place apart from authentic Indian items like curry leaves and green chillies and okhra and stuff..if I start getting it here then I need not stop by an Indian store...this walmart is a life saver ..honestly ..I get my medicines from here... The deli section makes awese chicken and the cakes are yummy ...the bread is fresh out of oven .. the staffs are helpful and help u out ...they have good stock of frehs fruits veggies ...and u get every thing in here from juices ,meat , to egggs , goodies for Ur pantry ,cookies ,the electronics section is good too...it is helping us a lot as we get kids stuff for reasonable prices here ..frm their formula to diapers and stuff ...u name it . U will find it here...good quality and good prices There r variety in clothes and they have good prices . U get se good picks at the clearances and overall not a bad deal..for those who drink which I don't ...but those who do..they have an aisle of all the wines and stuff...they have a subway joint inside and they have gardening tools and a section for tht too..u get all medicines and in case they don't have stock they get it ready in a days time at the pharmacy ...it's been a place to go for me...as it's nearest to my place and I find practically everything in here from a thing as small as a hairpin to a big thing like television n phones..so the point is ...I get everything in this store...they have also added the lottery machines recently ..but only negative is they r still.learning to use the machines and not mastered it..they have self check out counters as well as lot of check out counter.s.. First, this has been my go-to Walmart for awhile now, even though it's a little farther for me to drive than my neighborhood Walmart. I have become familiar with it's layout and several of it's friendly employees. Today would have been another routine visit except at check out. One Hispanic family in front of me making small talk to the male cashier. At first he and the gentleman were speaking Spanish, imagine my surprise when their conversation turned to English and the cashier started to laugh and use profanity. Now it's not like my 11 year old has never heard swear words. He may have even heard them come out of my mouth a time or two, but I'm sorry when you are in customer service and in mixed company you probably should refrain. No apologies or niceties when it was our turn to check out. Not even a hello or thank you when our transaction was complete. He handed me my receipt and started scanning the couples behind me items. Only came here to buy a few items but, we were told that you could find an RFID wallet which is what I purchased. I don't have any facts on whether the indentity protection works. It's supposed to shield your personal information from being read without your permission. So that is what the label says. I am not sure if Walmart is the only place you can purchase them. Anyway sometime later on I can give a review on this Walmart Store. It has only been open since December of 2017. Located at Metro Center. I did go on the internet and you can find the RFID wallets at Kohl's and other places. I guess Walmart isn't in the only place you can purchase them. By the way my experience with Walmart stores is that very few employees know very little about their store. I don't know if it's because this particular store is huge or if it's me? They want you to do their job and ring up your purchase and then have the nerve to stop you to make sure you did their job correctly. UNBELIEVABLE!! While my boyfriend and I were waiting in Walmart, we watched a greeter (Mariacruz) racially profile a man and not allow him to leave the store even after confirming all items in his cart. I asked for the manager to point out the issue and the manager only had one thing to say which was "well I didn't see it happen." While yesterday my boyfriend and I came through with several large items that did not have bags and they smiled and allowed us to walk out. Expect racism at its finest at this location. I like this new Walmart. It is one of the super centers so it is huge. Since it was my first time I walked around for a long time before I decided to do shopping. I went back to get my cart and then went to the bedding because a friend told me they have really nice pillows at Walmart. I got a couple and I am sleeping better! It is hard to beat their prices. I found a sous vide machine cheaper than anywhere else, even Amazon. They have a large grocery section which is impressive. I buy hot dogs to give the dogs their medications and they seem to be able to beat other stores' prices by about a dollar. One thing I have not been impressed with is their steak but for the most part good stuff. I did not see any organic, free range turkeys though! One thing I thought was interesting was the store is attached to the mall but you can't enter from the mall. I guess they don't want you strolling with your shopping cart through the mall and leaving it in the mall parking! read more

New Walmart to the community, but it's still just your average Walmart. They offer all the same stuff as the other locations. This one did have some good grand opening sales, which I unfortunately didn't take advantage of since I wasn't in the need of any of them at the time. I didn't come opening day, but stopped in a few days later early in the morning as to miss the crowds that normally flock to Walmart. The store was clean and for the most part organized, but you could definitely tell they just had their Grand Opening as many of the racks of clothing looked like a tornado came thru and the person hadn't had the opportunity to reorganize it again. From the outside of the building, it looks as though it would be so big inside and maybe it is square footage wise, but to me it seemed as though the isles were closer together giving the illusion that the store was smaller. Could also be that everything was stocked so it seemed much fuller then other stores. Many of their high end (and not so high end) items were on lock and key, which I understand with electronics or appliances, but they had stuff like laundry soap with a sensor on it..never seen that before. Been here multiple times and each time as been a pleasant experience. I'm glad this Walmart was put in this area of town. Since opening it has been well kept and is always clean. Merchandise is neatly organized in the shelves and clothing is nicely hung on the racks. The greeters are always so happy and welcoming. Customer service counter is helpful. Ive had to make a few exchanges/returns. The line can get long but the wait usually isn't more than 10mins. Our work staff comes once a week to fill the office fridge. The produce is fresh and options are plenty. We like the low prices. If carrying a backpack be prepared to put in a locker provided at the front entrance. I appreciate loss prevention people. Keeps prices where they should be. read more

Yes I understand times are tough and places are short staffed BUT texting someone to tell them their order is ready and then when you arrive you wait 45 minutes for someone to tell you that they are behind in orders. I placed a grocery order for delivery at 8am for a 1-2pm delivery. I didn't receive an order confirmation until noon and never received an update about the delivery after the 2pm delivery time. I waited on the line with customer service for over an hour after waiting until 5pm to get an update about the order only to have to cancel. This is the second time in two weeks that I've placed a delivery order at this location and have had to cancel due to delivery issues. The lack of communication is totally unacceptable. I called the stores grocery pick up department and the phone rang for over 5 minutes before it was transferred to a customer service person that was no help. This store and it's stock is a joke. Even with pickup orders, there are always 3-5 items that are out of stock. This was a major inconvenience. Twice! They need to get it together. I'll be using Instacart from now on. read more

I am currently standing in Wal-mart writing this review. I know there are jokes about "The People of Wal-Mart" and the outstanding customer service you get there. I know not to expect 5 star service but when someone just blatantly refuses to help you, that's crap service. My husband needed razors. We asked the woman (Cecilia) at the cosmetic department for assistance. She told us she couldn't help us because she didn't have the keys and redirected us to another young lady in one of the aisles. The young lady with the keys was in the middle of helping another woman, so we waited. Then Cecilia comes back and asks her for the keys. My husband and I look at each other confused. So we go back to Cecilia. She asked for the keys so she could help another customer. Never mind that we had politely asked for help and she put us off on someone else. Another young lady came by so my husband asked her for assistance. She needed the keys so guess who she asked for them? Cecilia. We wasted time waiting when Cecilia could've helped us from the beginning. Ridiculous but hey, I guess that falls in line with Walmart customer service. read more

I am very pleased with the friendliness, the excellent customer service Irecieved. The Manager solved my problem in a fast, timely manner. I will shop here again. Wal-Mart Metro is by far the best Wal-Mart I have shopped at. I really do recommend this Wal-Mart. They go up and beyond to help you out, get things resolved on time, and exceed their expectations for customers like you and me to be happy, satisfied, and pleased. Went to buy a crib. Asked for help at 220pm, they said they'd send someone right over. Ten minutes pass, no one shows. I push the customer service button and an associate shows up asking If I need formula. I tell him I need carry out for the crib. He says he'll tell his lead, returns 5 mins later saying they were coming now. NOT!!! I push the button again and the same associate comes back, helps someone wanting formula and attempts to walk away. Only for me to call him out and tell him to get a manager. No one comes. I call the store (while standing in the store) for a manager. She shows, offers no apology and doesn't even say she is sending anyone! It's now 248! Same associate comes back to get the crib. Told him all of that and you still had to get the crib! They want more money but their service is below minimum wage! read more
