This Walmart is like any other Walmart. No special service from any of the staff. They have what you want here at a cheap price. Parking is a pain and the welcoming is like cows at a slaughter house (help the customers as fast as possible and move on to the next one) except this one has a grocery store. I used to rarely ever shop at Walmart. The parking lot, tight aisles, fellow shoppers, and the checkout staff are a source of frustration at this location. I have had good experiences with the produce guy and other staff on the floor. With this COVID-19 crisis, I switched away from my normal higher-priced grocery store and now schedule a weekly pick-up at this Walmart instead. While I wish they could fulfill my order 100%, I have saved so much. About 5 to 10% of the items are not in stock when they prepare my order. What has wowed me the most is the service I have received from Christina; I try to schedule my pick-ups at the same time each week in hopes that she brings out my groceries. She has such positive energy, hustles while doing her job, and wishes me a wonderful day in a way that just makes my day. 5 Stars Plus to Christina!!! I hope Walmart's management realizes what a wonderful and hardworking team member they have. read more

This store is so unprofessional. The self checkout did have any bags and was dirty. Staff advised me that they did not have any bags anywhere in the store and I had to find a way to pack up my basket full of grocery. I had to open my box of large trash bags and pack my groceries up. While I was doing this, I had to reach into my purse and get sanitizer and wipe down the self check out stand. It was covered in sugar. The employees nearby were chit chatting and not cleaning self checkouts as people paid and left. As I reached for my sanitizer to clean their equipment, my cell phone fell and cracked my entire cell phone glass. All the while, an employee comes to stand near me and when I asked her if she needed anything, she replied I am waiting to refill the machine with coins. I asked her to stand 6 ft away and she said she was. She was not and she seemed impatient as I had to pack my purchases I bought from their store in my trash bags. Total nightmare and supply customers with bags. This is why I prefer Target. Never again!! read more

I have seen better walmarts than this one. The layout of this walmart is kind of like a big rectangle. At this walmart you will find yourself shopping much faster then other super markets. The Customer service I could care less about because most of the employes look like they need a big cup of coffee just so they can get threw the day. There is solicitors outside of the walmart entry. The prices are unbeaten compared to stores like o'brian's and save mart. Right now you can get a juicy ripe pineapple for $2.88!!! So I recommend that you buy one while you can. read more

Havent had the worst time, only issue is the excessive customers who complain for the dumbest and smallest and worst of all, unrealistic issues. Everytime I go, I've gotten good service and no complaints. The store may be small but only because of the structure for which its in. I just think some of the worst that comes in and out of the store is the customers themselves! no shame at all for some! The stock crew at night seems a little unhelpful at times, but as an understanding from being in customer service myself, I realize they are not a pain but more of a boost for me. I mean takes a lil bit of maneuvering but I always get the best picks at produce and best picks at what I need first. Not to mention not about a million people waiting in line. It's a Walmart. You kind of know what you're getting into. On the plus side, I've been to this location a few times and it's always been pretty clean and the lines haven't been too long. I went to buy a new bike and I tried 3 bikes that are the same because they kept falling apart on me! First one the seat kept wobbling and the second one the tire wasn't put on right so it didn't go. Whoever puts the bikes together here needs to find a new line of work! I bought my little boy a bike for Christmas and nothing is put together correctly! The back tire is backwards, the chain guard is on wrong so the tires don't spin freely. The brakes are adjusted incorrectly/ hooked backwards. So I just spent around $600 in this store last night on a ps4 a few games and accessories. I get home and the console will not accept the games and is making a strange ticking noise. I didn't think much of it as usually Walmart policy is to accept returns within 14 days w or w/o receipts which I had one. Today when my brother went to exchange this ps4 he was insulted and embarrassed by the asst manager named Larry. The ps4 I was sold was a previous return and the serial number on the console does not match the box. Obviously the original associate who processed the return did not check it and it was sold 6 months later. Literally when he walked in to exchange it he was treated as if he had stolen the console or was trying to defraud Walmart. No one listened to him even though he had my receipt from yesterday they didn't even want to call the store manager over to help him. Instead he was embarrassed and told to his face rather insultingly that they wouldn't help him no matter who he talked to. Christy the store manager wouldn't speak to him or I. I cannot believe the level of blatant disrespect by this place. I hardly ever shop at Walmart just because of the service and experiences but I was at my mothers and Walmart is 3 blocks away. This is my fault for doing business with such a shady and disgusting corporation. I will never shop Walmart again and you shouldn't either. This review isn't for the store itself because I'm always treated well by employees. My issue is with the security guard this morning. I frequently go to the store after the gym on my way to my next appointment. This morning I found my experience to be a bit, off-putting. This security guard was standing near the exit doors talking to an employee and I rushed in as I usually do. I had no idea she was following me until I was in an aisle looking for something they ended up not having. I suspected I was being followed, so I tested my theory and went toward the back of the store to get something from the freezer. Sure enough, there she was. I walked quite fast to the registers and got the heck out. The next thing I noticed she has a in the parking lot looking to see what kind of car I drive. Okay so I have a few walmart stories for you! As any other typical walmart, we have the usual ghetto-low classy people with clothes that are either way too big and sagging or way too small and everything is popping out..... well one day my friend and I were at this walmart and a guy was arguing with his girlfriend in the wine aisle. They kept getting louder and louder, he was threatening to knock her out. It drew our attention away from what we were shopping for then that's when it happened; the guy grabs a wine bottle and smashes her over the head with it and she hits the floor. He yells back at her as he walks away "b*tch, I told you I'd knock you out!" They def need better security in that store! So here's one on the employees, not the customers who shop there.... my roomate bought us a quick use blender for our morning shakes (we started a shake diet) anyway it broke and got jammed so she exchanged it at the plaza parkway walmart, no problems. But the new one we bought within only 2 weeks broke again, so she took it back to this walmart on McHenry. There was a couple in line, the husband was returning all kinds of expensive equipment- an IPAD and Acer laptop, and the wife was returning 2 smart phones without receipts. They didn't give them a hard time at all, but when my friend came up they told her they would only exchange the blender for another, she said hell no I don't want this brand, why can't I get a store credit? She asks to speak with someone else who works there and the new employee then informed her that many other people have been returning these blenders, because they've had the same exact issues too. So they will let her return it, but she needs to get the lid off the top and to empty out the liquid food contents from inside. That's the whole reason she's returning it, because the lid would not come off and the shake was trapped in there.... anyway she has to go outside and breaks the blender open against the wall of the store and brings it back inside to clean it out at the water fountain, she asks them if they have a band aid and they say they can't give them out up there, they try to get her wait in the back of the line again, but she points out how the couple earlier wasn't given any trouble even when clearly theyd been returning stolen equipment, but yet they can't even return her little blender when she's done everything they've asked her to do. Anyway she came back stressed out and her cut was bad, probably needs stitches, I told her I would post up what happened to her on yelp, so here I am! I've seen better superstores then this one, as it seems kinda if small and hard to see as it's smothered around other stores. It's way in the back and hard to see as it you drive by with in a blink if an eye. The only thing I like that it's git a lot of parking, and I guess it's nice that it does have a variety of stores to visit. The employees are pretty friendly and fast pace. When you walk in it needs more more walking space when you enter, and the customer service needs to have a better line system. I like the food court, and the variety of purchase you can make, when looking for something to eat or snack on, but sometimes hard to find when looking for certain foods. Last time I tried looking for packs of burritos, and they had them in the meat sections. I'm used to finding them in the froze foods section or dinner section. I would sometimes rather go to another store of there's then this one, but it's a change. read more
