Best Boutique in Modesto CA. PERIOD…read more This place is STUFFED to the gills with all things fabulous. If you need a hostess gift, baby gift, girl friend gift, or retail therapy this is the place. Located in down town Modesto, this place is in the middle of office spaces. From the exterior it appears to be "blah" and "business". There are a few attractive pots in the front, but nothing to that would make you think the interior is one of the best things going for MO town. The interior is tiny and packed with shelving counters and wardrobes filled with clothing, towels, jewelry, potted plants and on and on and on. Fleur de Lys is locally owned and operated. My sister takes me here every time I'm in town. The owner is almost always there. She's quite friendly. They offer great complimentary gift wrap as well. Great little bitty place!!!!!

Trying to figure it all out.. they were having some issues and it took over 40 mins. She tried numerous ways. Was in contact with her manager and everything. But still no luck and at this point I'm thinking.. WTF. Last time I EVER order off of charming Charlie online. Eventually the figure out that I cannot return in store because I payed via PayPal. So I have to do it old school and print out the slip and write down every single damn item number and ship it myself using my own money. First of all. I don't recall the website mentioning HEY HEY if you order online and pay via PayPal and you aren't happy with your purchase. You cannot return in store!! If I would have known that, I would have never bought online. It's so annoying. So freaking annoying. Wasted 40 mins of my time And then the girl was nice and was like for the inconvenience you can pick anything from the store and get it 50% and I'm just like no.. I'm not sure if I want to invest my money in charming Charlie anymore. Super disappointed.

This boutique had everything from dresses to peacoats to shoes and purses. Everything is kinda pricey (60 and up) but you have to think about what it takes to own your own business so I totally understand the prices. The aethetics are super cute too! Loved it! They give you a 10% coupon off your next purchase & there are no refunds. Just exchanges and store credit.

I tagged along with a friend who wanted to purchase Christmas cards to hand out. He ended up getting several bookmarks to give out as gifts too. They had a vast selection of different bookmarks, very well made and in see-through covers to protect. The sales clerk was most cheerful and helpful while assisting us around the store and at the register. She helped us find exactly what we were looking for. They are a little on the pricy side, however they are a non-profit organization, so it is going towards a good cause. I saw a beautiful nativity scene, made of wood that I would just love to own! It had the baby Jesus laying in the manger separately, which I truly appreciate. When I was a child, in our home we always had the baby Jesus inside the drawer near by the nativity scene, until Christmas day, when he was "born". I always got such a kick out of this! Most nativity scenes have the baby attached to the manger, so you cannot separate them. This one is special!
