Best Boutique in Modesto CA. PERIOD. This place is STUFFED to the gills with all things fabulous. If you need a hostess gift, baby gift, girl friend gift, or retail therapy this is the place. Located in down town Modesto, this place is in the middle of office spaces. From the exterior it appears to be "blah" and "business". There are a few attractive pots in the front, but nothing to that would make you think the interior is one of the best things going for MO town. The interior is tiny and packed with shelving counters and wardrobes filled with clothing, towels, jewelry, potted plants and on and on and on. Fleur de Lys is locally owned and operated. My sister takes me here every time I'm in town. The owner is almost always there. She's quite friendly. They offer great complimentary gift wrap as well. Great little bitty place!!!!! read more

I love this shop! It is quaint, unique and affordable! There is a variety of home decor, food, jewelry, clothing, purses, and a special children's section in the back! Many of the items are selected in France by the owner. It is locally owned by the same, sweet lady who started it. It is a definite stop for gifts on any occasion. Also next door is the best bakery and cafe in town! read more

For a unique gift of high quality for yourself or someone else, you'll find it at Fleur de Lis. from fragrances, to home items, you won't find them any place else as the owner travels to select the best for her boutique. Great service Will help you with selections for a gift for your wife and the gift wrapping is awesome. Great value.

I love the whimsical and elegant atmosphere. This store has been one of my favorites for years and is definitely a gem of Modesto shopping. If you're looking for a slice of European flare this is the place. Little treasures and gifts galore, everything you find is so unique. The perfect stop for that "one-of-a-kind" feel for my Christmas gifts read more

Tres chic boutique! I stumbled upon this place by recommendation from one of my arsenal of beauty specialists. It is a tiny little shop filled with a wonderful selection of girlie goodies. Wonderful candles, lotions, potions and shiny baubles. What is not to like? They also have some really cute baby trinkets and gifts which would be perfect for baby showers. I only wish there was more floor space because it can get a little snug walking around the displays and fellow shoppers. All in all a nice place to find a gift for that discriminating recipient. While you're there, pick up a little something for yourself. ;) read more

Every time I'm in this store I spend $$, this last time I spent over 100$. They made some comments that after my visit , I realized they thought I was shoplifting. Very disappointing . Pretty sure they were reviewing the tape before I left!! I love their jewelry, but I'm really disappointed!!!!! read more

I have been going here for years to find unique products! It's like no other around, beautiful jewelry and home goods. If you need a gift wrapped it's free and is the most beautiful wrapping I've ever seen. This is such a gem with kind helpful staff, so thankful to have it here in Modesto! read more

Yes I know this is primarily a shop for women but they have so many terrific items for sale that I really like stopping in there once a week and checking them out. This is where I go first when I need a gift for that someone special in my life and for that person cost is no question. 5 thumbs up read more

Just like other reviewers, I stop in here often for a fun unique gift. However, the last few trips have left me feeling annoyed with no desire to go back. The customer service is irritating. If they aren't following you around the store practically on your heels, they are asking if they can put something at the counter for you regardless if you have items in your hand or not! I've spent a lot of money there over the years and I don't appreciate being followed as if I were stuffing trinkets in my pockets. You have cameras, watch me like a hawk from there if you so desire. The staff is uninformed, impolite, and snobby. It is unfortunate, because it is a great shop with a lot to offer and there aren't many like it in the area. Please adjust your approach. Hard working, full price paying people come in all different attire. read more

Woah. Have I really not reviewed Fleur De Lys before?! For shame! I've been coming here and loving it for years! They have an insanely wide selection of jewelry (including lots of antiques!), paper goods, and bath and body products. I purchased the most beautiful antique French gold ring for myself several years ago, and their antique ring selection continues to tempt me every time I come in. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind. I was looking for something pretty specific the last time I came in and they were so patient with me and picked out a bunch of options that fit my needs. This is a great shop to visit if you're looking for a gift for a friend (or for yourself!) Plus, they have the cutest wrapping which is of course complimentary with every purchase. read more

I could spend hours in here! I got particularly hung up on the earrings and brooches (the military-looking ones were very cool). As PPs said, it's Parisian, with heavy art nouveau influences. If you are looking for gifts and have a $10-100 budget, you'll easily find something unique. The staff is helpful and professional. Ok, one tiny flaw: if you are in a wheelchair/walker/using a stoller, it'll be hard to navigate for sure. read more

I'm not sure if this place is better when it's not close to Christmas, or if I was too excited and had set my expectations too high, or what, but I was definitely not pleased. Based upon the yelp reviews, one would think I would have hit it off big with this place, but no. The gals working were very nice, the store itself was cutesy and smelled pretty good, but I was under the impression that the selection would be greater. Everything was organized, but seemed cramped. I thought the store would have more of a Parisian-theme, afterall it is named Fleur de Lis, and the French decor was so scarce. I plan on going back after the holidays and hopefully things are better, but for right now, I've experienced better. read more

Love love love this place! It's a place my daughter and I enjoy going to together.. we love to spend the day oogling at different shops around town and this is our fav. I love the gift items... Easter is coming and they have darling chocolates. It is a pricey shop, but they are one of a kind unique boutique baubles and the items are quality. Vive La France! This shop is a treasure trove of all thingss French. From antique armoires to beautiful linens. Lotions, Candles, Glasses and Dinnerware are all here directly from all areas of France. From Paris to Aix En Provence...this is a beautiful shop to while away your afternoon. The owner is a very cool lady that goes on buying trips several times a year to keep her merchandise fresh and up to date. I have shopped here so many times, it is one of my usual stops on my way downtown. O and the collection of jewelry and accessories are truly amazing...I suggest you get down here as soon as you can....and be sure you have plenty of room on your credit card. You just can't not buy one little thing in this darling shop. Maybe I will see ya there.....A Bientot read more

I was back in my hometown for the holiday and decided to support a local small business for "small business" Saturday. Sadly, I wish i would have spent my time and money elsewhere due to the extremely poor customer service. Being that many items in the store are fragile and delicate and I asked a couple of times for the price of a few items (I wanted to avoid having to unstack multiple plates/candles etc to find the price). However each time I asked one of the ladies working, they seemed very annoyed that I would ask for the price of an item. One of them even rolled her eyes when I politely mentioned that would pass on an item due to its price. Unfortunately, poor customer service from "entitled" employees has turned, yet another, customer away from this otherwise charming store front. Its a real shame. read more

If you're looking for unique boutique items on a budget, Fleur De Lys has them! While some things can get a bit pricey, they definitely don't blindly mark up their items. Looking for something Parisian? This is the place to be! read more

My go-to place for unique gifts! So glad Modesto has a boutique like this. They always have the cutest, upscale holiday decorations, baby items, cards and jewelry. read more

A great boutique, beautifully decorated, items displayed to be found. There is something for everyone. The owner has personally traveled and picked items for her boutique she knows will bring a smile to someone's face. This is not your standard "country" store, but an upscale classy boutique, filled with an excellent selection of quality items, from candles & plates to scarves & purses...I found things for the very young (baby clothes) to the young at heart.with many items on sale. Prices vary, with some items on sale. You can tell the owner cares for her customers. Excellent helpful staff. Just being in the unique boutique made my day. And when you are done shopping, there is a snack shop next door. I am looking forward to bringing my friends for an afternoon of shopping.. read more

Best, best, best boutique in the Central Valley. I love my jewelry and other knick knacks that have been purchased here!! I would recommend stopping by if you're shopping for something unique and memorable for a loved one or friend. :) read more

This is the most wonderful shop, full of items you will not see anywhere else in the Central Valley. It is a most unique boutique shop. You will feel like you are shopping in France! It is a must see anytime I am in the Modesto area. We travel a great deal and shop in significant areas with specialty stores and I always marvel that such a lovely shop, with such lovely treasures as Fleur de Lys has, is located in this small city. In addition to the outstanding selection of special merchandise, the owner and sales staff are unusually friendly, helpful and not at all pushy. You don't have to "sell" when the items on display are so wonderful as those available.....they sell themselves! read more

First let me tell you I have spent thousands in this place over the years, literally. But recently, my experience there has left a bad taste. Before completing my last purchase ($200) there, I asked the salesperson when they were going to have their annual sale -- as a loyal customer, I know that everything in the store gets discounted 20% at that time. She said she didn't know and asked out loud if others knew the answer. No answer from the owner who was in the store, or any other salespeople. She rang me up. 3 days later, I get the flyer about the sale-- starting in only a few days. I go to the sale, explain to the owner my disappointment politely (I would have saved $40 if I would have waited for the sale)--she seems to avoid me after that.I explain it to the salesperson from a few days before --she says it was decided at the last minute. Really? I received a printed flyer by mail 3 days ago. Even Macy's will make an adjustment for something that goes on sale less than 6days from time of purchase. You shamed me for asking. I no longer feel like a valued customer. Even though I do not share the same snooty social circle as many of their other customers, my money has still spent the same for all of these years. I plan on returning all my full priced items! Fortunately, I can find the items sold in that store from many other sources. read more

This is an amazing little gem in Modesto. It is the best place in the Central Valley to shop for gifts, ranging from candles, to handbags and beautiful jewelry. Many of the items are from France, so that always adds a special touch. The women that work there are very nice and helpful. The gift wrapping is also a big plus. It is my "Go To " place for house warming gifts. read more

My friend and I went in a week ago. We were smelling perfumes, and I asked about one that I was interested in, as I couldn't find the bottle. The sales girl came and handed me a box, which I purchased. I got it home, tried it on & it was not the scent that I had smelled in the store. She had given me Les Fleurs, when what I wanted was Lychee Rose. I took it back this week, since the sales receipt said returns/exchanges were accepted within 14 days. The girl asked me if I had tried it on. I was honest (it's a rollerball), not sealed. I told her that is how I discovered it was the wrong scent. They refused to exchange it. They were incredibly rude both times we went in. I'm not sure what makes a sales clerk in a shop think they are better than their customers. Customers that are likely more educated, and without a doubt make more money than you. Snotty little girls. Shame on the owner for not honoring their return policy, and for hiring the staff she has hired. read more
