I seriously love Farm House! It is very literally the only reason I ever go to Turlock. They have such cute things, all RIGHT up my alley: holiday decor, home decor, candles, baby clothes and baby things, cookware goodies, jewelry, etc, etc. Looking for a gift for a special someone; Farm House has got you covered! Utmost, the customer service you receive here is unreal! Every time I come in, I get lost in conversation with whoever is behind the counter. Everyone is so sweet and helpful. My mom, grandma, and I came around Christmas time last year and had sooooo many bags and bigger items, one of the employees offered to (and did) help us carry our things out and load them into the car! Currently there's a paper on their door saying a few things are required before entering the shop; a few Covid related items obvi like mask but it's funny, some if not the first listed are to be "courteous" and "respectful." They should post this in the breakroom instead for their staff to view. The comments on here aren't wrong on "the bad customer service". I have gone in with friends and it can be a hit or a miss but at least I get a welcome. I more so notice the rude service when I'm with my fiancé (we are both Hispanic but he has the brown skin). I've made purchases with him and I literally have to be the one saying "hi how are you" while paying and you get a response like "fine, wanna bag?" *Tears the receipt sends me on my way*. I don't want to be the one saying color is an issue here but most recently yesterday we went to Turlock to stroll and walk the shops, Caucasian women a few steps ahead of us gets a welcome and a hi how are you once once she got to the cashier area. She turns the corner, I'm expecting a welcome so I look up to the counter and offer a masked smiled they look away or look down. I agree the shop is adorable. Everything looks so carefully selected. I don't dispute they enjoy what they do but they don't seem to care about why or who they are doing it for. I'd rather take the drive to Escalon and visit The Butlers Pantry. Same style-ish and the customer service is superb. Always super helpful as a minimum. read more

Farmhouse is located in the heart of downtown on Main Street. I really enjoy shopping here. They carry a little bit of something for everyone! I've purchased quite a few CC beanies here and other cute little gifts for friends and family. The staff have been super sweet and helpful every time I've visited. This place is a gem - not only does the shop have some of the best finds but the staff is amazing. On 2 separate occasions in the last week I visited the store with a cranky (almost) 2 year old but had to get a few things for Father's Day. The first visit I was helped out to my car which was parked 1.5 blocks away and the second time she helped me while I was still waiting in line after noticing that my sons patience had about ran out. Went in there for the first time today, as I am not from the area and the owner of this business was very rude. She tried whispering to another employee that I was "taking pictures of everything". When of course I was not. I took a few pictures because where I am from there is no store like this, and I didn't not see any signs that said "NO PICTURES". The rudest part was her talking about my actions to another person, and trying to whisper it. She then yells across the store, and comes near me and my husband, saying all this irrelevant stuff. I simply asked if I couldn't take pictures, and I even complimented her store. I said it's super cute yet she never once apologized for talking about me. Would not recommend. Customer service sucks and she did not make us feel welcomed after this! I believe her name was Tara. I have been to Farm House quite a few times, and its only when a certain employee is working that I have a bad experience. This one was most recent. I went in last week and was in there for a total of maybe 10 minutes, there were not a lot of people in there at the time. I walk in and I was greeted by the girl named Haley, but not the other gal (which is fine I don't expect a greeting from both) I had seen something earlier a few weeks back and decided to buy it finally. I go to check out and there was an issue with rad card on their end, in which Haley was very kind and patient about (she was so nice, not the reason for this review.) And then the other gal (I think her name was Connie) was just straight up rude and made me feel very unwelcome, and acted like the whole thing was an inconvenience to her. I had purchased the pillow and while I was waiting for it to be put in a bag, I had asked about the price of their caramels and asked to purchase 2, in which Connie responds "oh you want them?" in a clearly annoyed tone. There was not even anyone in line behind me. I felt like she did not want me there and overall the dirty looks and her clear annoyance of my presence made me feel very unwelcome. I have never felt this way at Farm House until this one (of two) experiences with this employee. read more

The lady here is rude. She stormed past me multiple times without even saying "hi". Then when I tried on a bracelet just to see how it worked (because it had this clasp thing I wasn't familiar with) I look up all excited because I actually like t and knew I wanted to get it, and she's frowning at me. (As if I was going to steal right in front of her). Sure.. yah... anyways so I go up to pay and she just snaps at me with the price (again not even a "hi" or a "oh you're ready?" Or a "let me help you" ) instead she's still working on some other thing, not acknowledging me, just the price. Then she rings it up and only then does she finally say "thank you" but again with a rude tone. Mind you, I was only in there for a total of about 15 minutes if that. But with three interactions, you'd think at least once she's use kindness and at least pretend to be happy she has customers in the store. Nope. This is honestly typical of the experience I have had at this place each time I've popped in (which I only do sporadically) over the last couple of years. It's just amazing to me, that every single time without fail, the lady is rude, cold, and doesn't say anything kind or welcoming at all. I guess customer service isn't a thing here. read more

Amazing merchandise! Original and creative products! Except if you want attentive service close to lunch time . My daughter was visiting from out of town on Monday, so I took her to your shop . She had several questions about the price of various items and it was difficult to get the staff's attention. They were loudly focused on where to order lunch from and who wanted what!! She spent over $100 that day and we didn't hear a single thank you from anyone behind the counter!! Business must be so good that a mere $100 purchase is not worth thanking the customer . Farm House has become my go-to home decor shop. Every time I go in I find something new I need! I have purchased many unique gifts through Rustic Metal Design (located in Farm House) and have received many complements on the thoughtful items. I find the previous reviews hard to believe as I have ALWAYS received excellent customer service. So much so that when my son recovering from heart surgery, every time I went in I was asked how he was with genuine concern. I visited the Farm House this morning, and all employees were very sweet, helpful and kind. They made sure I found what I was looking for and what I needed. I purchased gift cards and purchased a few other gifts. They gift wrapped everything for free, even the gift cards! It was obvious they don't like to make customers wait. They were so busy, but I got taken care of very quickly. Thank you for the old-fashioned courtesy, which we need to experience everywhere. Another customer was there with a small child, and she was apologizing for his childlike behavior. It was no problem for the store at all. They reassured the customer that he was fine! The store has such unique items - Christmas and everyday items. Some items can be personalized, which I love! There are beautiful charcuterie boards and other kitchen items that are unique and great gifts. This shopping trip was well worth the drive from 25 miles away! I'll be going back after the holidays to see their new season of merchandise. Can't wait. Their prices are very fair also. Came Shopping Here on a Friday afternoon. I noticed they just opened a few months ago. Packed with unique items you won't find anywhere else in Turlock. They make custom iron pieces. I have came into this store numerous times as I shop frequently at the other home decor stores downtown. Every time I have came into this store I have never been greeted or even acknowledged. The ladies at the counter either ignore my presence or are too busy chatting amongst themselves. I would understand if they were helping other customers, however, many times I have been the only customer in the store. I have wanted to purchase many items from here but have told myself that I will only make a purchase if I am acknowledged and this has yet to happen.
