I stopped here on the way home from the Lair Of The Bear (UC Berkeley) camp near Pinecrest. I had…read moredriven past the "Vinyl" sign outside this business for years. I am so glad I finally went in. The owner, Don, was knowledgable, helpful and friendly. You don't quite know what you are going to encounter when you enter a place of business for the first time, but here it was all good. No, make that GREAT. His record collection is extensive, pristine and well-organized. He talked to me about many of the albums I was considering, filing in the gaps in my knowledge -- and he was really nice about it, not condescending. Also, I thought his prices were quite good. I bought many records for $5 ..... one for $25 ..... he had some collectibles that were in the hundreds and he eagerly explained why that was. There is something here for all tastes and every pocketbook. He had a record there that I paid far more for on Ebay. His daughter helps him in the store and she is delightful. They will send you records in the mail, too. He mentioned that he has a wide range of music -- lot of hard to find classical, among other genres. I will definitely stop by again and would not hesitate to email him if I want something special. Thanks, Don. It was great chatting with you about Rock and Roll ... and thanks for carrying the records to my car. See you again next year when I am passing that way.
