Great record store in Downtown Merced. We were up visiting family in the CV and staying in town so we checked out what they got and were pleasantly surprised, really eclectic collection, some extremely rare pieces and good finds. Look, owner knows their stuff so you're likely not going to find a OOP rarity for $5 but having collected for some time what I can tell you is compare against what you'd pay for the same title on eBay or discogs and then factor in shipping (which you won't pay at the store) and you are getting good prices on the records in the shop. I walked out with 3 records, 2 live albums I've wanted for a minute and could not have been more happy. If you're into vinyl, tapes, CDs, DVDs, check them out. Great record store! read more

Been going here for years, huge selection, and super friendly service. The owners always super helpful and kind. They sell mainly used, but some new stuff. The used items are always in pretty great condition. Everything's priced pretty well in my opinion, love coming here. read more

Cool record store with decent selection too. Right in downtown Merced. Easy exit off the freeway if you are passing through, like I was. Owner is a cool dude who plays a lot of punk rock. My husband bought me a record player for Xmas from tigers and daggers, we were pretty new to this but Travis found something that would fit us perfectly as new enthusiasts. A simple vintage 2 speaker setup. He has been very helpful in answering any and all questions we've had with the player, and since our purchase we've collected at least an album bi weekly and up to 5 plus some months. Travis understood my musical taste very quickly and is always enthusiastic to show me something new that he feels may interest me. Tigers and Daggers is a great shop. I have been a customer for a while. Travis is always friendly and when selling to him he is very fair. His selection of music, DVD's and other things is very good. He also has the ability to order things, so people should keep that in mind. I really have come to appreciate brick and mortar shops like this in our community. I really think it is important that we support shops such as Tiger and Daggers in Merced and other communities in California. Without places like this we would not be the same. Been by number of times this place is never open a lot of the times. I Set in front of the store for an hour one time waiting for it to open . I have bought a few records there in the past and really like the store just wish they kept regular hours. At least for the few times I've been by it I come in from out of town frustrating. read more

Great record store in Merced. I've been purchasing from them since they opened and I always get my fix for 1980s, alternative rock, indie and pop gems there.
