Video Experience:…read more https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QraHFdGJ-I&t=69s This was my first time attending the Merced California Republic Comic Con so I did not know what to expect however visiting Merced in the past and knowing that the event is just getting started I had an idea that it would be a smaller, family friendly event. To start, it was located at the Merced Fairgrounds and had enough free parking for everyone. Tickets were sold at a reasonable price and they offered a family package deal as well. It was a lot cheaper than other comic cons. CRCC had a number of vendors from clothing lines, unique handmade lifestyle accessories, anime accessories, action figures, plush toys, a lot of old school toys (great for you collectors), art work, illustrators, a lot of stickers were out there, comic books and comic book writers and one vendor also offered free photos. Other entertainment that was at CRCC were panels, game room and cosplayers and a cosplay contest! In regards to celebrities, they had a few but the biggest celebrity in my eyes was having Ingvild Deila. She was an assistant to Tony Stark in Marvels Age of Ultron and played Princess Leia in Rogue One. Overall I had a great time taking some video at the event. I think I would go back because they are still growing and I believe they have a lot of potential. Merced is a small town that no one really knows about and I think they deserve to have their own city Comic Con! Every Comic Con has to start somewhere. If it gives you an idea on how much I enjoyed the event and would return, I drove from San Jose to Merced; about a 2 hour drive. =) If I were to provide my two cents, here is what I would suggest: 1. Food Trucks 2. Continue to seek out more celebrities 3. Hold a cosplay photo shoot for certain themes 4. Hold raffle give aways throughout the event. Might make people stay longer. To do this, have your vendors offer free product to raffle off in their vendor table fee. 5. More Attractive set ups for the panel and game room.

The first true Comic Con convention for the greater Merced Area. Plenty for the family to do and…read moresee. It's the convention I look forward to each year.
