Warmly greeted as I walked in, I was informed that the shop was under new ownership and to ask if I needed any help. I asked if they had any dollar boxes and was told where they were. Dollar boxes sorted by team, what could be better? Time flew by and I actually came back after my appointment to continue looking. Ended up buying over 100 cards! Lots of graded cards, vintage, and unopened boxes. They also had a large collection of signed memorabilia, Star Wars figures, Matchbox cars, and Starting Lineups. Store is still in the process of being "set-up", but it has plenty of inventory already out to keep you occupied. Prices were on par with most other shops I've visited. Employees were very friendly and helpful. I'll be back for sure.

I was a regular of Bonanza Comics until recently, when the family that owns it decided to finally retire and close shop. Sean was very helpful in setting me up at his shop and goes above and beyond to help me find the things that I need, or want. I, originally, was going to give only four stars based on the fact that they do not have a large selection of older comics, but the customer service and knowledge I have experienced from Sean and his wife, in the short time I have been going there, has earned the five stars alone. The selection of trades and current run issues is fantastic. If there is ever anything that he doesn't have in stock they seem very willing to try their best to get it for you, if you just ask.

The good; #1:Friendly atmosphere…read more The Bad; #1:This stores invintory is heavy on the Chinese made products rather than Japanese. I was told: "the lower price helps it sell faster". That may be true but at the expense of quality. #2:The slection of authentic Japanese figures is low and nearly twice the import price. #3:The owner (not the shop keep, he's cool) walks through the shop about bi-weekly to jack up the prices according to damand. This means no retail prices on older products (prices go up not down over time). #4:Most of the time they are closed during store hours. If you want to make sure your not wasting a trip out there you have to call ahead of time. #5:Small Gashapon/Coin-op figures are their best items, even here be wary of Chinese knock-offs. It feels as if someone bought a Chinese Anime lot off of eBay, jacked-up the prices and put it in a small shop. My recommendation: Pay less, wait a little more and import it straight from Japan. My favorite anime import sites are: Amiami or HobbySearch PVC. There are much better options out there my fellow Otaku. Go beyond, PLUS ULTRA!!!

Upon getting home and opening the set, we found that parts were missing, as well as the fact that it didn't seem to function properly. I called the store the next day and the owner was very rude on the phone. He kept mentioning how busy he was because it was the holiday season. He absolutely refused to help in any way, shape, or form. He did say he "might be able to find the number for Lionel" so that I could call the manufacturer myself. I was literally speechless. I have heard that the owner has bad customer service. Now I know for sure. I will never step foot in this store again. The store itself is nice and charming. But be aware, if you have any issues with a product, even if you just spent hundreds of dollars, you will not only get zero help, the owner will talk down to you as if you are an idiot. What a disappointment.
