Went here to get a bike for my dad and waited almost 30 min just for someone to come unlock the bike so I can purchase it. I had to ask several times if someone is coming to help me and then they didnt know who had the key or who was supposed to be coming to help me. Very poor lack of communication skills and shitty customer service. Didn't even tell me sorry for the wait or nothing. They really did not care. Really disappointed with this particular store. They failed me. I need a little blue basket to shop, as I am in a wheel chair and cannot push a cart, also being alone, means, i need to do it by myself Went in and did the usual game of hide and seek for a blue basket, only one I saw was being used under a cash register for items that someone had refused for one reason or another. I asked an assistant mgr and she said they were discontinued. She gave me no options to do my shopping. I went to the cashier that had the basket hidden away and asked very nice if I could have it to shop and I would return it to her. he had to ask the Assistant manager for approval. I was allowed to use it. On my way, I spot the Manager and questioned him about the baskets, he said he was not sure, but it looked like they were being deleted; I asked him how I was too shop and he shrugged his shoulder and walked away. I will be calling 1-800-WALMART to complain, Oh they steal them, where is their loss prevention department? Where is the greeter at the exit door to make sure you paid for everything? read more

Worst experience ever! Photo center associate "Tim" just walked away ,with 5 people waiting in line! All he said was "I'm sorry, I have to take my lunch". After at least 30 minutes an associate from layaway came to help, but he didn't know what to do. He never found my photos. As with most Walmart stores, service is slow. Customer service was to open at 0700 they had me waiting till 0705. I just worked a 12 and I'm tired. It's 0711 and the manager just got the loan to the CS. They barely acknowledge you and talk through you. A prime example of America customer service gone down the drain. read more

This Walmart is a nicer walmart then the rest in the area! It's clean and for the most part the employees are helpful! The bathrooms are ways kept up with witch is a plus since most walmarts bathrooms are filthy! If I have to make a trip to walmart his one for sure is the first choice! read more

The employee in cosmetics was very rude. They have cosmetics and electronics closed to prevent theft. If the cosmetics employee would have explained this then I wouldn't have gotten so upset. They had many things on the wrong shelves. The item I purchased said $66 on the tag on the shelf, but when I looked on my receipt it rang up $99. I didn't think anything of the total when in the store because I had bought clothes and shoes as well. I have always loved looking at the photos of WalMart Customers and decided that since there is one in my town, I should check it out. I was pleasantly surprised. If parking was better, it would have had 5 stars. I was greeted warmly by an older gentleman that said "Come in where it is cool. It is too hot out there." I was looking for a batter for my car and asked a lady wearing a WalMart vest where the Car Batteries where. She walked me to the batteries and showed me how to look up the right one for my car. My visit got even better. I got into a line and the lady in front of me said that I could go in front of her because I only had one item. The customers looked as though they were on fixed incomes but overall my experience was great. read more

You know you go to this store knowing you need to be patient. It's the way it is. If you don't, then don't come here. Today, I was helped by a kind, elderly gentleman cashier. I believe his name was Larry. He was slow, don't get me wrong, but he was trying. And i appreciated that. His counter manager, I believe her name was Sherri seemed very frustrated with him. He did have to ask for help quite a bit, but he tried. I saw her roll he eyes at least once and that upset me more than him being slow for sure. She seemed bothered by him. But he kept tugging along. I LOVE the prices of staple products such as butter, flour, chocolate chips, yogurt, etc. I've saved even up to 30% buying yogurt from this store versus purchasing the same item at Safeway in San Jose. The quality of the veggies and fruits is not the best, but we still are satisfied given the prices. The checkers are variable. Some are super slow, but they look as if they've had hard lives so I am glad they are able to hold down a job. The photo processing service is fast and OK. This Walmart is just unpleasant and they have lazy people that work there. Anytime I ask for help, they always dread to help me out finding an item.. They all just sit around. Laziest Walmart I've ever seen man.. And on top of that, they have nothing! They're always out of stock or not selling it there anymore.. Just for this, I have to go all the way to the mall just because they actually have everything in stock and they have NON-lazy people that actually love their job. OH YEAH... Their free pick up at the store is a joke. So is ready by today online ordering. The employees are so disorganized and never have any idea of where anything is. This is the second time i ordered something that the website wouldn't allow home delivery and they are magically out of stock. I waited for half an hour for them to tell me they were canceling the order rather than them ordering what i paid for and having it shipped to them. The customer service in this store is severely lacking and almost non existent. The check out goes at a snails pace. I got stuck with Megan today and she moves at a snails pace. Even though they do have a Generous Grocery Store at this location I would not recommend going in here looking for a specific item. More often than not the shelves are Empty or if you are looking for a NON food item the selection is sorely limited. I couldn't even find plain red & white candy canes at Christmas time. Every month I use the promo for 6 to 12 months and EVERY TIME I get my bill I have to call. They do not give me the promo ever, they blame the store, the staff but never billing. I was told I got the promo for my last shopping trip, I did not and was charged, NO CHEATED for not paying off a bill I should have gotten 12 months on. 3 really good reasons not to buy a bicycle from Wal-Mart. 1) The bikes are poorly put together with brake and Derailleur cables routed in the wrong direction, wheels not straight, no waterproof grease on any of the bolts and necessary areas for a proper build. No "bike builder" is certified. They are probably have that person who thinks they are mechanic because they worked on a bike as a kid. If you have to take it to a REAL bike shop and get it tuned for 50.00 bucks for safety and so it will be built correctly by a certified mechanic. 2)Wal-Mart sells bicycles that have 32" tubes. BEWARE! THEY DON'T SELL THE REPLACEMENT TUBES FOR THESE BIKES! NO BIKE SHOP IN MODESTO HAS THEM, OR CAN GET THEM. Wal-Mart sells these because they probably had a good deal and marked them up, no knowing full well that the consumer would buy it. Bait and catch. 3) Bike shops offer service after the sale, free adjustments for the first year and a within s year tune-up. Plus most bikes at bike shops offer a lifetime warranty. Wal-Mart scams it's customers with a plan they never intend to help you with. Be smart when buying, you get what you pay for. read more

I don't like the way they treat their Employees, Sometimes they don't even get a break. I know of an Employee that needed to go to the bathroom do to medical trouble and they let him go. they could still do the work just need a few minutes to use the rest room. but know to much to ask so they let them go. Walmarts are all the same right? Well close but not quite. This one is better than most. It's cleaner, not so ghetto, and there are like a million registers so you don't have to wait too long. But the real reason I go here is 'cause it's cheap. I buy groceries there. They have a good grocery section. And the prices are consistently better than Save Mart, which is closer to my house. For instance, I can get a 2 liter of Mt. Dew there for $1 where at other places it's around $1.50. I buy a lot of soda, so that saves me a lot of money right there. And it's set up like all the other Walmarts so if all you're doing is grocery shopping, it's easy to just go to the food side and stay there and not be tempted to browse through the electronics section. Although it is really nice, when I need socks, to get all my shopping done in once place. read more

Wow this place is awful. I have come here 3 times, not sure why I came back the last 2. I have never bought anything because I usually only have 1 or 2 items and there always seems to be only 1 or 2 checkouts open with extremely long lines. The 3rd time was by far the most memorable and the reason I will never be coming back. While in the Toy section there is a homeless man talking to himself and looking at just looking at the video games. As he passes by, the strong scent of urine overcomes the area and I walk away asap. Ahhhh yes the true smell of Walmart I think to myself. As I go to check out with my one item I want I notice that only one register is open with about 10 people waiting with baskets full of items. Have they not heard of a ten items or less line? Or even a second line in this case. I toss my item into a bin of clothes and just decide to leave. As I am about to walk through the exit a guy in a leather jacket in concealing some kind of item. He might as well of told the employees he was about to steal something because it wouldn't have made a difference. He walks through the sensor which immediately goes off and then sprints through the entrance lobby and out the door. Meanwhile in the lobby between the store and the exit there are 4 Walmart employees, 3 of which are security talking amongst themselves. Thats 3 more employees then were working the registers! I raise my hand as if to say: "hello? That guy robbed you guys. What are you guys doing?" I tried to return a bike lock that I had bought a week ago. I knew that it would be hard without a receipt and expected them to tell me no, but what I didn't expect was the horrible customer service from not only the staff, but the manager. The fist girl we talked to implied that we were trying to pull a fast one, while another girl standing next to her told us we should try another store. When we got to the other store across town they couldn't help us and questioned why we were sent there in the first place. The manager is what topped it off. She had us on hold for 15 minutes so we called back. When she finally answered she was rude, unapologetic, and acted as if we were trying to steal from them.
