I personally am shocked at the written reviews and the things I have read. I am from Dallas TX and I just spent 5 weeks in Buchanan MI and all of my numerous encounters in this store were extremely positive. I would say 20 of my trips here were always after 9 pm. Each time I needed something if one individual could not find it for me they would gather all the employees they needed to help me. Each night they were stocking and filling the shelves with new product, finding what I needed was not an issue. There were never ANY lines to check out at 11 pm. ( I am not fond of the enactment of me checking myself out after 10:40 now especially when I had 400 dollars of groceries). I was extremely impressed with all of the late night staff in this store. They could not have been more helpful and friendly. I made several trips during the day also and had no problems with lines either at checkout or the service desk. Recently, I had groceries delivered and found that a couple of the produce items were of poor quality. After completing the return process online, I was advised to take the items to the store to complete the process for a refund. When I returned the items, the employee at the service desk(name tag Leah) was horribly rude stating they shouldn't have to deal with spoiled produce returns as it was messy. They also refused to give me a refund due to a problem with the return code. After leaving the store, I spoke with corporate, and they graciously gave a refund. read more

Walmart DO BETTER. I placed a pick up order and went to oick it up. After 15 mins of waiting a guy comes out and tells me they gave my order to someone else and I needed to wait to wait 30 more mins for my order. Keep in mind I did a pick up order at a specific time because of an appointment. Well because of waiting, appointment was missed. I also has asked for no substitution and got them. I called customer service because waiting 45 mins because of their error was inconvenient. I was promised a refund of my order. 2 days go by and I get an email that my request was denied. So I call again and again explain the story and again am promised a refunded. As of today it was 11 days so I called to dins out about my refund. I was told it was denied again. I explained that I had been promised twice and it was terrible customer service to promise this and then not follow through. He guaranteed me a refund. 2 hours later ... I get an email my requested was denied. So I am on the phone for the 4th time trying to get my refund. At this point, I am extremely mad. So when I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told that she would put in the request for the refund again. It isnt a request at this point, its a demand. I have now been on hold for a supervisor for 20 mins. After 5 years of pick up orders, I complain 1 time ang get the run around. Was at the delivery counter on Friday witnessing an older black woman working there verbally assault another younger coworker for being told to go on break before she was given hers. She was right in this younger girls face. Another employee helping us informed us the younger girl was a new worker and that they were all uncomfortable around this elder (50's) employee as she is constantly yelling and making racist remarks about white employees and customers. read more

I'd say this walmart fulfills your typical walmart expectations. Although it does seem to be cleaner than most Walmarts I've visited. This place either is chronically understaffed or walmart doesn't want to have more than one or two check out lanes open at a time, even during peak hours. It's not unreasonable to expect to spend a solid 20 minutes in line waiting to check out, at any time of the day. They do have self check out if you are only buying a few items, but expect there to be technical difficulties and of course waiting in line for a while. read more

Mishawaka, Indiana If I could leave no star I would! This place is terrible especially at night. I bought a TV and the box was damaged already, the crew member took 5 dollars off so he claimed and I was grateful so you can say. When I finally made it home I opened the box, the TV had already had 2 cracks and the color was damaged!!! So I called and a man answered the phone purposely sounding reluctant to speak. I explained what happened and he told me that there was no guarantee that I will get my money back or be able to switch the TV out. He then made sure to tell me to come back in the morning because they close at 10pm. I made my purchase at 8:22 pm and called at 9:05pm. He simply just stated that on his part there's nothing that could be done and he had no intention on trying to fix the issue, because I could have mad it back to the store before 9:30 and got it resolved. Terrible service, low ambitious and closed minded team!!! Of course I did not ask them to open the TV box to check before we left the store because you CAN'T, no I didn't get a protection plan because that is for when it get damaged later on, not at the time of purchase. I had not even had the tv for an hour! Im 8 months pregnant and had someone take the TV out to the car for me and my husband helped put it in the house so once again the damages could not have been on my part. The box was already messed up in the same area of the cracks. By the way I had time to write this review still 30 minutes before the store closed, an easy probably could have easily been fixed but the team members had no desire to try and help. read more

First of all, the grocery delivery from this Walmart location is ATROCIOUS. Second of all, the out of stock essential items, late delivery times, and constant issues with reaching customer service at the store itself through never answering of the several phone numbers they have to resolve any of the problems and if you do reach an associate they give you a bad attitude, etc. This store is poorly managed and leaves a stain on the brand of Walmart. I usually shop at Meijer because the customer service at this location is horrendous. If you show up after 9:30pm, they are down to 1 lane. I have walked out before unless its been an emergency. We went to talk to the manager and she was incredibly rude. We will not be returning to this location. If I could give it a big ZERO, I would. Every other customer if not every customer was maskless. Even the young woman working customer service had her mask below her nose. When I shared with her that not only were the 30 people checking out without masks but even she had hers on incorrectly, she responded with, "I am on lunch." Then she promptly ran away. I had initially asked her if I could speak with the manager, and she identified herself as the one to speak to. I was in hurry needed a few things yesterday. 11:30 two check out lanes open with lines into the clothing dept. self check out had all registers open with 18 people in line in front of me. Many in self service area had carts full of groceries. I understand less employees keeps cost down, but it creates frustrating experience for shoppers. Just got home from Mishawaka IN Walmart. I really need a better memory because every time I go, I swear I will never go back. The checkout lanes were 8 deep and only one side of the store had the do scanning lanes open and those were 20 deep! Seriously, who hires these managers? The phone to this service is picked up by a live person within seconds..which is a rare and very pleasant experience in today's automated world. The Greeter at Indian Ridge Walmart, which was a young man, couldn't have been any nicer, when I needed help, but the Cashier & the woman who claimed to be the Customer Service Manager were the rudest I've ever came across. i've ordered numerous times from this store, small issues forgotten items additional wait times, but yesterday will be my last order my last purchase from wal-mart. after placing my order at 12pm yesterday i received call from delivery man at 6:22 (delivery was quoted per wal-mart for 6ppm-7pm 10/25/). delivery man stated he was told my order was cancelled per me which was absolutely wrong!.after calling 3 times because i was placed on hold finally spoke to a manager who told me this wasn't his area but 14 employees had called off & yes my order was cancelled per wal-mart, my question why wasn't i contacted! if i hadn't called at 7pm i wouldn't know anything until then. poor customer service my next delivery will be from the competition! plus i will wait 5-7 business days for my refund according to wal-mart considering my bad experience some good customer service like quick refund or gift card guess not. i guess losing one upset customer isn't important to this mega store!!!!. read more

Ugg...I know, I know it IS Walmart and what am I expecting??? Haven't been here in over 14 months for a reason and had a lapse of judgement thinking my experience may be an ok one. There on Saturday at 7:00 a.m. in the morning to miss the mayhem and absence of civilized behavior this Walmart attracts in clientele. Literally was about 25 employees loitering all over inside moving the glacial pace that is known for this area. Stockers in every aisle taking up whole aisle looking at me like I the customer should not be there??? Ever heard of stocking in the early a.m. hours when literally every store run by competent people does?? Or ever heard of the customer is the reason why I am here because without them there would not be a job for me? Have respect for yourself and the customers we are not lucky just because YOU decided to grace us with your presence. Also if I wanted to be a cashier I would apply for a job. Someone with a full cart shouldn't have to scan their own groceries one of the MANY employees standing around should see you and offer to ring you up. Nope they are to busy trying to look busy by not making eye contact and looking away while drinking their pop....excuse me a customer shouldn't have to beg for you to do YOUR job. Enough said this area needs to step it way up but I know this it is asking too much. Oh and didn't touch on the parking lot always being littered with disgusting trash..yes better watch out for that dirty diaper! I will not/would not ever even attemp to visit the restroom without fear of a traumatic experience. Oh and always love being accosted going out so they can look at my receipt.
