Was spending time with someone in town and they wanted to grab some items from the local Meijer so I accompanied them while they did some shopping. Everything was well organized and easy for us to find even with the store being very large. Produce section had me in a trance for a moment with all the different types of fresh veggies and fruits they kept in stock. Flowers in bloom were on display in preparation for Mother's Day. Store was clean, and so was the woman's bathroom. Employees were working hard and offered help in various areas (bakery and deli). Parking lot is huge and if you are like me you definitely need to memorize where you parked. read more

It is nice to order on your phone or computer. It makes it conducive to keeping a budget. No impulse buying. Keep an eye on substitutions. I personally use no substitutions due to the fact that substitutions in the past have been off target. Another thing I do not like is the 4 x 4 sticker put on milk, water, lemonade and other items. They don't come off easily. Other than that I love that it saves time and your groceries are delivered right into your vehicle. System is well thought out and efficient. It goes through your last list and checks if you want those again. Great reminder. Also, if you are MPerks member (recommended) you get sales automatically. They also send you coupons based on what you buy regularly. read more

I know all the businesses are short handed but give your employees a raise then you might have more people. We where at Aldi's and Krogers earlier and did not have this problem. Even Martins you get in and out. There are only 3 lanes open. Why not get the managers out here doing work. We waited over 60 minutes in line for only 15 items. To me I would of left and gone somewhere else but I took my friends here. If things where not bad enough there were no carts when we came in the store. We had to walk out in the parking lot to find one. There where over 40 carts outside at the time next to the building and no one brought them in side. There where literally 15-20 or more people on line with there carts. I won't be back again. People are rude and not helpful. Go to Aldi's they are not rude there. I will stay with Costco and Aldi's in the future and everyone else can have this place. read more

Special search for pocket pitas. Only found 2 pkgs of wheat pita, needed four pkgs of regular ones. Next to me was a "'Meijer Shopper" asked me if he could help find anything . I usually shop at Krogers, but lately their young manager doesn't seem to care about their handicapped customers parking. Krogers on Hickory used to have at least 6 handi capped parking signs, which equaled 12 parking spaces near their main front door. Now there's only One and it's off to the side not being used. I can't walk very far or my feet an legs start hurting badly. If I have to walk too far, then by the time I enter the store my feet are hurting badly! I can't use their electric karts which causes my feet and legs to hurt even worse! So! What this Young Manager doesn't realize is he's loosing many of his customers to other stores that do care about their handi capped customers! I usually go on over to Meijer's, off of Grape Road. They have plenty of handi capped parking and you can shop for other products, also! read more

Meijer Grape Road has got to get their act in order regarding extremely long lines and extremely slow lines. This has happened more than once where I simply had to walk out leaving my cart behind because of ridiculously slow processing of customers. Lost time, wasted time. I really like Meijer! Sales are great! Circulars are awesome! Pick up and customer service staff are fantastic. For the last two weeks or so they have been having issues with application software which prevents online shoppers from using the app. This is horrible and has gone on far too long. Cashiers aren't always aware of eligible 7 for $7 items and I've been over charged twice. Fortunately Customer Service was made aware and they corrected the error. Please fix your software issues Meijer and educate the cashiers regarding sales. read more

I wish I could do more than leave an excellent review for the Meijer's pharmacy on Grape. The pharmacists and pharmacy technicians went above and beyond to get my forgotten prescription transferred and filled so that I didn't have to go without during the holidays! My home pharmacy made it difficult, 2 days worth of difficult but eventually Meijers and their staff prevailed! So grateful for people who care! read more

While Meijer is a favorite store of mine to shop at frequently today I had a very troubling visit. While checking out at the Mishawaka store a cashier named Cheyenne was cussing at my fiancé while I was paying. He was joking around and then asked to clean up the mess he made. She mumble some name with the F word in front of it. We tried to call customer service to report this behavior but were put on hold for an extensive period of time. Although his horse play was not appreciated he respectfully corrected his actions. Her attitude even after was still derogatory. This is not customer service. read more

They routinely run out of shopping carts at the grocery entrance while at the same time have an abundance of carts at the pharmacy entrance. Sometimes there are no carts available in the store as there are not enough workers to perform this fundamental duty. I have complained about this for over a year but to no avail. No one seems to care about this persistent and annoying problem. Seems like a grocery store should never run out of shopping carts. read more

Oh Meijer's! A better alternative to the Super Walmart that's always right across the street from this town. I frequented the one on portage but they really are all the same. I beg to differ on Meijer's being superior to Target cuz the Super Target down the street is WAY better. Meijer's is still pretty awesome and good for those one stop shopping excursions. Huge pluses is that it's open 24 hours as is Super walmart across the street, and self scan during the day when you feel like talking to no one. Also a large imported food aisle at this location with candy and other food products from France, Poland, Germany and the U.K. with candy I love such as the violet crumble and ritter sport chocolate bars! read more

I dont' understand why they penalize people for returns without a receipt. We have been shopping their since they built the store here. I tried to return an item with no receipt and was told i already did one. One return without receipt for life ?? but of course if i had "perks" they could look it up .How convenient so unless they have all my information that they can sell to other businesses I only get one return my whole life. Seems a bit harsh. Meijer also has a habit of putting things on sale but forgetting to put them in the computer. Meijer, how I miss thee with a vengeance. This was THE place to go in college, without a doubt. As my friend Liz (who had grown up in Illinois before moving to L.A. when she was 12) told me "it's the kind of place you can buy tomato sauce and a bra for twenty bucks total in forty-five minutes"...And BOY was she right!!! When my friends and I needed anything, at any time, this was the place to go. I always felt kinda bad that the Townies and the employees had to put up with us college students and our hijinks- those folks had, and have, patience and tolerance I haven't seen anywhere else, to be sure!!!! This is a nice store, it really is. The only issue is the slow check-out. It's unbelievably slow. There are no sackers and it's just the cashier with a turnstile full of plastic bags. It doesn't help when oblivious customers are playing on their cell phones instead of stacking their bags back into their cart. I'm new to town and have been to Meijers three or four times now. My only complaint is the slow checkout. The store has pretty much everything. It doesn't have extensive variety in some areas, like pet food, but getting groceries, clothing, shoes, garden products all in one place is nice. Produce has been fresh every time I've been, even if it's picked over and hasn't been restocked recently. Overall it's not a bad place to shop. read more

We never shop Meijer, not sure why anyone would. So I stopped in there this afternoon because we needed just a few items and I recalled their beer and wine prices used to be reasonable. Good gosh how that has all changed! Not that we consume a lot of alcohol but I can do better at the local City Wide or Martins. Actually everything I went in for was over priced, from bread to yogurt! It's always an insult to my mellow ways entering a Meijer. Its a frenzy of people herded in to consume crap they don't need, then to stand in long lines while 90% of the check out lanes are closed. Walmart is worse. But not by far. All I can say is, shop local, shop small, stay at Martins for sale items and Aldi for the rest. Do not one stop shop at these mega stupid grocery stores because they are robbing you blind! read more

This is my go to Meijer location because it's so easy to get to and make a quick trip. Typically I everything I'm looking for is in stock and there are plenty of cashiers to help lines move quickly. The fast check out lanes tend to be out of order, but they move even faster than the cashier lanes. Managers are always visible and friendly. That makes an excellent appearance. The store tends to be clean and I feel safe going here at night. Oh and if you having gotten the MPerks to save even more money and not have to have physical copies of coupons, download it now! Seriously... I've saved over $1000 in 2 years by using it. I kid you not. read more

If the workers would stop worrying about when their next break is, and get the customers in line moving, things would be much faster. I stand in line waiting my turn, she turns off her light and wants me to move to another line, then as each customer gets to the check out, she goes to the line to tell the next person behind me, that they need to move, finally once I get to the belt, she comes back yet again to hang the chain. As I said, if she worried more about the customer in front of her and less about when her break is, things would move much faster. read more

Of all the Meijer stores, this is my favorite, but all are very good. This is where I can look for deals in meats as well as many other things, like my 5-liter box of wine, beer, flavored drinks, eggs, milk, and you can just about name it. When burger is on sale, I buy 4-5 packages and freeze them, the same goes for baby-back ribs, pork loins, chicken and much more. This is also where I shop for my fresh fruits, etc. by looking for the sales. A year ago I lost my wedding ring, so I checked and bought a really nice stainless steel ring on sale for only $15. I love it. Quick and easy self-checkouts, large and small grocery carts, and a big parking lot. Sure it's busy, but lots of room to pass each other. The workers are always very polite and even the customers seem to have a decent attitude. I could go on, but hey, if you don't believe me, what's the use? Just try it and see for yourself. read more

Holy moly. This place has EVERYTHING. My first experience with Meijer was over a year ago when I walked into this mega shopping store. I grew up with Target and but Meijer is way better. Or so it seems, to me! It's a cross between a supermarket and a department store, not unlike Walmart or a Target. But this location is just larger than life! I come here to pick up some late night snack or floss or whatever I forgot to bring with me (on a business trip). The best part is, they are open 24-7! Love the self-check out kiosks.... Sometimes, I just don't want to talk to anyone so thank you for letting me do my shopping and be on my somewhat merry way! read more

I've shopped at Meijer for years and am seeing a steady decline in customer service. The line wait gets longer and longer with each visit. I waited inline for 30 minutes today and ended up leaving because I had other obligations. They only had two registers during my visit today. I like Meijer for the cleanliness and selection but the customer service is becoming a deal breaker. Total waste of time shopping then be forced to wait to pay, only to run out of time and leave empty handed. read more

I visited this store this past Saturday with my mother who has health issues and there were NO, NONE, NADA!!! scooters or anything to help a person who has any kind of difficultly getting around!!! I was furious!!! I asked the store "manager" how many they have for the ENTIRE store and she said 9!! 9!!! For the entire store?!?!?!?! My family alone spends hundreds of dollars a week in this very store and they can only accommodate 9!! handicapped people at a time!!! UNACCEPTABLE!!!! If they dont do something, ANYTHING, to change this, I will go somewhere else!! This is ridiculous!! There were thousands of people in the store and they only care to help 9!!!!????? Usually pretty good. We are frequent shoppers. Today was the worst! Lines that stretched into the produce department and to get a cashier we stood in line 10+customers deep. I actually called the customer service number to complain. When connected to the store the woman cut me off with "we had 2 call offs". I'm sorry how is the lack of foresight the customer's problem? They finally sent 2 girls to open new lanes. Then our cashier starts complaining about it being rush hour, and everyone went home.. I'm sorry but you get someone to work OT and service the customer. He then says it's a bad place to work and they don't get paid enough.. what kind of place allows employees to complain about their jobs to the customer. I just kept saying a well run store would not put me(the customer) out. And no this time they weren't any better than Walmart.. read more

The selection is great, the store is reasonably clean. They only ever have about 4 cashiers in duty. FOUR!! That's not nearly enough for this busy location. It makes the whole experience miserable when you have to wait in line for 30+ minutes EVERY TIME. read more

We go to Meijer every single week and spend in excess of $100 on each visit for just the two of us. We watch for sales as do many. Why is it though that most sale items just happen to be "stock depleted"? Again today about 4-5 items "on sale" were non existent. A real bummer so we shopped elsewhere to get what we wanted. The cruncher is that we asked the check out person and no mention was made of rain checks but she mustered up the intelligence to say that "we just had a two day sale and everyone shopped yesterday". For crying out loud. You have a 2 day sale but only order/stock enough for one day? You say hard to judge quantities needed. Come on, you didn't just start this business. Oh, we'll come back but it might be only for a short time unless Meijer strives to make changes. It is more than just price folks! Most sincerely submitted. read more
