With all going on tried to return some items they had one person working returns , managers in meeting, every employee approached to help a long frustrated line of customers ignored all of us many speaking to one another in Tagalog. Very rude very poorly managed . One of the largest chains need better management more training for public service. This is one of the busiest seasons of the year management has to have as many trained employees able to provide two to three associates for one of the busiest departments. TL:DR - Extremely bad customer service - associates aren't informed and continuously push the problems onto other associates who are equally as uninformed ---------------------------------------- I saw on the Walmart website that they had Royal Oak charcoal in stock so I drove here to purchase it. I asked an associate where the charcoal was located and she said she didn't know and walked away. I asked another associate who pointed me to the gardening section. Upon arriving at the gardening section, I couldn't find the charcoal I was looking for. I asked an associate who I think was the manager of the gardening section. He was the only one there. I showed him a picture and he said he doesn't know if he has that. I asked him if he could look it up in the system since the website says the store has it in stock. He looked confused, didn't say anything and just walked away doing random things. He had broken English so maybe there was a language barrier. I went over to a different associate and asked them if they had this charcoal in stock and she also replied "I don't know" and walked away. I asked ANOTHER associate and he said he doesn't have the system to look it up. I went over to the customer service desk in the front to ask them directly for help. After waiting in line for 20 minutes, I showed the CSR the listing on the Walmart website and asked her if she could check where it is in the store. She says that she doesn't have the system to check if the charcoal was in the store and told me to go to the electronics section since the team there had the system to lookup inventory. I made my way to the electronics section, asked the associate who worked in the electronics section, and then they told me they had no such system and told me to go ask the associate in the gardening section. But, as stated in the beginning, the manager of the gardening section was extremely unhelpful. I ended up just leaving, I was fed up with accountability being shoved around all over the place. This Walmart location REALLY needs to fix their customer service and better coach their associates. They should model the customer service at Home Depot or Target. Every time I go to Target or Home Depot, the associates will always drop what they're doing to actually solve your problem or bring you to the correct section. read more

Came in this evening looking for wool socks. I did a quick check online and it showed some available in store but it doesn't give you the aisle/location. After 15 mins in the socks section, I asked an employee. This guy just looked lost himself. He pulls out his little machine and asks me if I look in c-13. I asked where that is cuz these aisles aren't labeled. He also didn't know! He walked me back to the socks and stood there. Then he pointed at some fleece HOME socks, VERY obvious u wouldn't wear these with shoes, and said "what about this?" I would've ripped him a new one if I didn't have the last shred of decency left in me. He then tells me to ask this lady who "works in this section." Of course when I ask her, she just points to the socks. I asked for wool and she just shook her head. Walmart clearly hires skeletons with a pulse. NO brain, NO effort, and NO skills needed! Though I should thank them as now, I'm totally fine paying a hefty price tag for wool socks. But at least the place I bought them from has actual humans with functioning brain cells working. They are charging for bags they don't have. I asked for plastic bag since I was prompted I paid for one when I asked attendant for the bag she said we don't have any but we are not charging for them. I showed her the receipt she said "go to a register and get one" none of the registers have any but still charging for them. She escorted me to the self checkout, waited with me and then handed it to an employee. The employee had to scan it for me and wait there until I paid. Two stars simply because the item that I ordered online and requested for in-store pick up was delayed. Normally that wouldn't be a big deal BUT... the email that informed me of said delay mentioned that I would be receiving another email notice once my item was ready to be taken home and that never happened. I ended up calling Walmart to confirm my order was in-store and mention to the lady that I never received an email stating my package was ready. Her response?? A long pause and "okay". I didn't catch her name but that is definitely EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH material!! [rolls eyes] I left work early in hopes of getting an upper hand on the rush of customers and that was a complete fail. I got stuck in traffic for almost an hour & then literally stood around for about 25 minutes or so until one of the workers at the customer service/pick up area finally called out my name. The lady goes to the back and gives me a flatbed cart with my 80+ lb purchase on there and tells me that I can "go now" - not before adding that it was perfectly fine for me to leave the flatbed out in the parking lot. No "thank you", no asking if I needed assistance out to the car- N O T H I N G!! Minus the 2 stars that was initially given. As I am lugging the flatbed out of the store, a sweet|petite woman by the name of Evelyn was standing by the exit and checking receipts. She noticed my huge box and asked me if it was heavy and I confirmed that it was over 80 lbs. She quickly told me to wait while she tried to find some help. It took some time but Evelyn came through with a male employee that helped load the huge & heavy box into my car. 2 stars strictly for this lovely woman who made my night. I couldn't have managed the lifting on my own and she saved me time that would have been wasted on asking other shoppers for assistance. read more

The shortest amount of time I've ever waited for someone to come unlock a cabinet after pressing the call button was 10 minutes. That's the shortest I've waited, and it's usually MUCH longer. Totally understand when it's busy, but I'm actually typing this up as I've been waiting for 20 minutes, rang the bell numerous times, asked an employee who was walking by and there doesn't seem to be anyone able to assist. And this is all while the store is as close to empty as Walmart ever gets. And stopping an employee to ask to send someone is useless. I purchased a money card with $25 deposit and $3 fee in May 2023 got my personalized card and activated it in July.1st thing the deducted $1.30 per month for service fee reasonable except their going back to Jan. 2023. Since then I deposited $40 at the cost of $3. Charged $10 in gas. Today I check balance and it is 0.00 so I initiated live chat where I received The Worst Customer Service ever. Comments like there were no direct deposits so it is you who can't follow procedures so no fees will not be waived which is something I never even mentioned. Four hours of waiting and Walmart Tire Center loses my car keys: I chose to buy 4 tires and have them mounted/balanced at Walmart. The savings were 60.00 over comparable tires. Net net I am currently a loser on this transaction. 1. Walmart Tire Team DID NOT RETURN MY CAR KEYS back to Then the zinger came!!! when the car tires was fixed. This occurred Friday night- it's Sunday mid day. STILL NO KEYS. Firstly, after waiting 2+ hours to get 4 tires mounted and balanced, they balanced the tires incorrectly - as they didn't take original weights off the rim - and so this double weights on my rim were hitting my brake calipers as I drove away. .... So, I returned the ycar, handed the Tech my keys to re-fix it and that is the last I've seen of my keys. When the car was complete, the Techs said no one saw the keys/took custody of the keys. But I did hand my keys to the Tech that came out to the Car Bays to take custody back of the car. He said go shpp for 30 minutes and check back. About 45 minutes later I came back. Thereafter I spent another hour with the Techs tearing apart the car to see if the keys had fallen between the seats or whatever during the re-fix of the car. After another 60 minutes tearing the car apart with the Techs, I called the manager of the department out to talk. So now I'm into this effort nearly 4 hours. So I called the department manager, Liz. The dept manager-Liz promised to call me a Saturday morning call on the status of my keys ( after talking to all of her employees). ..... It is now Sunday 2pm-no call from Liz, no BMW X5 keys since the Friday night re-fix -- and as such, I can't drive my car. ..... I called Liz/Manager late yesterday afternoon ( Sat afternoon) and was told she is busy taking care of customers and she'd call me back later yesterday afternoon. So in summary: My 1 hour appointment ended up being 2 1/2 +1 hour. Then I spent another 60 minute with the Tire Team searching the inside of my car to see if the keys fell under the seat, in the side doors, etc. Being a team player, I helped the guys tear the car apart. No keys in the Walmart car bays & no keys found in the car. Manager promised to call me back Saturday morning. But the manager there did not call me back Saturday morning as she committed she would - and I have a car with no keys. And it is late Sunday afternoon now. A weekend without a car. .... if I go to a Tire Center (Walmart, Firestone, Tires Plus....wherever) and I trust my keys of a high priced asset like my X5, I expect Walmart ( or other store) to take responsibility of getting the keys back to me when the service is complete. And they did not do this. Exiting Walmart, The manager then said she would talk to the Techs that left early to see if they had my keys...and would call me either way. No calls Then the zinger came!!! : then she tells me that she will review the outside security camera footage " to see if I did hand the Tire Center Tech the keys in the first place". Really? .....which, honestly I thought that was quite rude - as I put the car and car key back into their custody for an hour or so, went back shoppping after the job was first done incorrectly - and I expect the same courtesy of getting the keys back upon returning the car. ( I had already paid the bill before finding out that the car keys were missing/misplaced so I didn't have any recourse there. ) Tomorrow I will start caling Walmart Management as I know Walmart from a corporate perspective because I've done cybersecurity work for them in the past - and I will ferret out who the exec in charge is. I need my keys back or a key fob replacement (and a mailbox key replacement that got misplaced with the key fob) ..... and an apology. read more

Just want to call out that the workers here are VERY SLOW. even if you push a button for assistance about 10 times, nobody will come.... you will still have to flag someone down for some help. read more

I called for online orders and the lady said oh not here. Call grocery. There was no option for grocery. Prior to this visit I was in need of formula and I went to the case where they have it. Three employees walked by and neither one of them helped me. They just kept telling me to wait and push the button. I said I had waited and push the button five minutes ago for help and they said oh just keep pushing it and they walked away. not one of them got on their radio to ask for someone to come help me I had to physically go look around down the isles to find someone that would open it for me. no one could help. The recent downpours made getting new wipers essential. My automotive engineer uncle had scoffed when I bought pricey Bosch wipers last time, so this time, I asked what brand he bought: Rain-X. I found a recent review online that ranked Rain-X Latitude Water Repellency at the very top. Great! I needed a 26 in. and an 18 in. I googled Rain-X Latitude Water Repellency 26, and Wal-Mart was the top search result. Great! Again. I could link it with a trip to the Great Mall and lunch at Layang Layang. Went online to walmart.com, and sure enough, both 26 and 18 inch wipers could be picked up, TODAY, in Aisle H19 at the Milpitas Supercenter. Except, they couldn't. 28 and 16 inch blades were plentiful, but not the ones I needed. Maybe Wal-Mart workers were dyslexic, I mused. I even poked thru the pile at the bottom before giving up. I was stiil optimistic enough to check Aisle J18 for a pair of nonexistent Skullcandy earbuds before I left, empty-handed. Amazon will get the sales Wal-Mart didn't want. And now that Wal-Mart's online assurance of stock cannot be trusted, save time, money, and gas. Stay home! read more

Big store here complete with bakery and deli counter and garden center. Very well organized and stocked with civilized, polite patrons but lots and lots of them on this weekend afternoon. Parking lot is well designed and lots of space. Got a lamp with a special feature - in nice condition... other Walmart stores I had been to they seemed to have had a rough life while on the store shelf (broken shade, dented metal base, and torn felt on the bottom of the base). Duck Brand tape duct tape available as well as another brand that claimed to be stronger. I will have to do some consumer testing on three brands and report back soon. May want to look into cross training where associates can support multiple areas. Also no sense of urgency seeing customers waiting for long periods of time. This Walmart super center should be investigated for keeping low quality dairy, particularly organic milk from OrganicValley brand. As the picture shows, this milk has an expiry date of August 13 that was purchased last week. I noticed foul smelling on August 3, and had to throw this away. This is the second time I have to throw away OrganicValley milk so sooner than original expiry date. That speaks of low quality diary food this store carries. Just for the record, this never happened with Horizon Organic milk that I used to purchase from Target. Won't repeat visiting this store. This place has some of the worst customer service I've seen. I called a couple minutes ago and the first time I called, the phone rang for a little more then 3 min. I heard someone pick up the phone and then hang it up. I called a 2nd time and just to test and see if anyone would pick up, the phone rang for 4 and a half min straight before I gave up and hung up. Prior to that experience, I went to pick up a fishing license. I pushed the button, asked an associate for help and waited 27 min to get customer service. Then I had to get bicycle tires and it was worse, a 31 minute wait just to have someone open the glass case so I can get bike tubes. That was after I told an associate I needed help and was told she couldn't open the glass case because she didn't have a key. That same associate got a bit of a lecture later on and was told by a manager "why didn't you call me on the radio?" This was after I asked for assistance 4 times and after I asked for a manager. Walmart already has a pretty low bar of expectations, but this location is something else. I looked up the product I wanted on the Walmart app, which showed it as being in stock in 3 separate aisles. I drove out of my way to this location, and spent an hour walking the store to discover the product didn't exist in any of the locations the app mentioned. It wasn't just out of stock - there were no stickers for it. None of the employees could help me since the majority of them didn't speak English, and the rest just vaguely directed me to different associates across the store. Some told me they flat out "never sold" the product, some said they were out of stock, and some sent me on a rabbit chase to various unrelated aisles. Ultimately wasted an hour of my life looking for a product that doesn't exist. read more
