Without a doubt the first and last time we will ever shop here. Stopped in there for a specific item in the sewing/crafts department. Wife needs it now. Walmart app gave me the aisle location of the item. When we got to the aisle, there was a young man working on putting items back up on an entire wall of the aisle. At first he said he was "resetting" something...like he didn't work there and didn't know where anything was. I showed him what we needed. He was still bewildered. He said those type of products were located in one of the several boxes strewn on the floor with loose items in each. He started giving the worst attempt at "looking" thru the boxes. Barely touching/looking at a few items on the top of each deep box. The unhelpful employee then proclaimed he couldn't find the item. I asked if he could get the manager over to help locate the product...you know, like have someone there who actually "knew" what products were. The young man then boasted, "I am the manager!" Followed by, "You'll have to come back tomorrow morning." Is the moral of the story that Walmart let's supposed managers lead departments and have no idea what the products are. Their managers also are empowered to not provide any semblance of front-facing customer service. They also apparently don't have any organizational skills - wasting unknown countless hours pulling items out of unmarked boxes with items haphazardly piled into them. Not to mention a blank aisle wall with no roadmap at all as to where the products are supposed to go. Wait...no way these are part of the objectives of Walmart's customer service policies. So...the bottom line is this supposed "manager" didn't feel inclined to help us. He didn't rally any other employee support to assist us. Heck, we would have helped look through the boxes. We really needed that item. One of the weakest and poorest displays of effort I've ever encountered in a Walmart. Target stores may have an acutely flawed item locator/price app - but they NEVER treat their customers like Walmart did today. Especially a "manager." So what can I say about this Wal-Mart...... I've had some remarkably outrageous moments in this Wal-Mart. I seem to attract crazy people whenever at a Wal-Mart to begin with, and this one in particular has provided some fond moments that I will forever hold dear to my humorous heart. Some tips of things I finally accepted and bought into the Wal-Mart way of shopping. So how to truly enjoy your shopping experience here and fit in like a true Wal-Mart aficionado. 1. Do like everyone else and drive down the parking lanes the wrong way. 2. Always enter the store through the exit, and exit through the entrance. This one always amazes me. 3. Try as hard as you want, but find a cart that does not veer erratically in one direction or the other. 4. Use the hand sanitizer to clean the cart handle. The funky, sticky, foreign substances are unique to each cart handle and I like to see if I can determine the source before my shopping experience is over. 5. Remember to bring your Lysol disinfectant wipes if you need to wash your hands in the restroom, because you will have to give the faucet a very thorough cleaning before touching. *****PRO TIP***** Use the paper towels to dry your hands but reuse them to touch the door to cleanly exit. 6. Always park in the center of the aisle and cause a grocery cart jam. 7. Run your cart into the shelved items, casting them on the floor to create your own obstacle course to weave around and see who can complete an entire aisle without stepping on. And always act like you didn't cause the mess you created. 8. Let your kids enjoy the bikes and hot wheels and ride around recklessly without any type of parent supervision. Then leave bike wherever and proceed to checkout. 9. To find help in the electronics section, go to the clothes section. 10. Never look another "Walker" in the eyes unless you are in the bean bag section. When WWE style wrestling breaks out, you will want the bean bag as a fall cushion. 11. And when checking out and leaving. Act shady and mysterious so the security guard chases you. Once apprehended, produce your receipt triumphantly as you watch the shoplifters making their way to freedom by your childish antics. I've learned all the hard realities of remarking on, questioning or addressing any of above issues. This is my guide to you on how to blend in and leave unscathed and to shop another day. As this place holds a place in my heart for the death defying encounters I've lived through, I give it a 4 star rating for excitement, thrilling, real-life, non-stop adventure and a hell of a way to spend a Friday evening. read more

Mainly a shout out for the bakery...I recently ordered a cake online for a birthday and it was extremely easy to order, the cake was ready on time and the lady in the bakery was very nice when I picked it up. Pick up was a breeze and it was a lovely cake decorating job. I also get my groceries delivered from here and have not had a bad experience. The fruit has been fresh and it's very rare if something is out of stock without a comparable substitute. read more

Walmart at 1710 S Greenfield Rd. Mesa Az has some of the most inept, unprofessional people working for them!! Twice in the last few months I've ordered home delivery and only half my order shows up. I don't know if the person picking the order with a list is the problem or if putting in some operational systems in place where the delivery driver can't leave with the order before it's been verified again needs to be policy. But twice?! Not acceptable!! and then when I call regarding my missing items (more than half the order both times and all the expensive items, by the way,) don't talk to me about how it's lost inventory for you and that's why you can't re-deliver my products again like Luis and Veronica tried to do. And tried to do this, mind you, behind their own managers back who had already committed to doing that for me. Additionally, the first time they did this to me I needed to update my email. I asked for that to be done. Apparently a multi billion dollar a day company isn't capable of updating an email either because that never happened. Get it together Walmart!!! read more

Ordered a cake from here a week in advance... my daughter picked it up the morning of our party and after seeing it myself-the cake is completely sunken in the center, icing cracked, writing is awful. The quality overall was just very poorly done. We called and spoke to Amanda in the bakery & she said she didn't see an issue with the cake. My daughter said this is exactly how it looked after Amanda handed it to her but she didn't want to disappoint me by not bringing it home. We took the cake back to customer service and got a full refund. I was so embarrassed at the quality that I chose to not serve it at my sisters party. I wish I could give zero stars. read more

This Walmart has a sign outside stating that you must wear a mask due to state mandate. once you enter the store, at least 10 to 20% of the customers are not wearing masks. Some take it off once they get into the store. Management is telling employees not to say anything because they're not the "mask police". One of the greeters said "it's not worth it as people can get violent when ask them to wear a mask". This is a serious public health emergency and merchants cannot be afraid to enforce the policy. Walmart is not prudently forcing the state mandate. The counter measures they have are not effective. This is got to be stopped otherwise we're going to have more deaths and the ICUs are going to fill up more than they are now. What does it take for Walmart to enforce the mandate? You're putting the public at risk. I will be there next weekend. If I see the same scenario as I saw this past weekend with several without a mask, I will be filing with the City of Gilbert/Mesa and contacting Doug McMillon, the CEO of Walmart in Arkansas to report this Walmart for gross negligence and for not prudently enforcing a mandate -putting the citizens in our community at risk. read more

This Walmart Supercenter is much like the other supercenters with a slightly different layout. Typical Walmart quality with Walmart prices. I stopped in to get a couple items and this one was in the area. Being unfamiliar with this store I began searching for the correct aisle. Wein a few minutes a sales associate offered assistance. All Walmarts are similar. This one is no different than the countless others out there. It's large, has plenty of cheap products, and is crazy busy. I was at a friend's house on the other side of town and needed to buy more lawn chairs for his party. He underestimated the number of people who attended his party....so, he asked me to run to Walmart to grab a few cheap chairs. I found one for under $10....perfect, threw 10 of them in the back of his truck and headed back to his house. We were able to pull the truck up to the curb and load in front of the store. The employees there were cool about it and watched our chairs for us while we pulled the truck around the parking lot to the front of the store. Overall, a pretty good experience. i hate walmart. super center my butt. how does one of the richest companies in the world continually have system glitches, no cash for all of their machines, and if only half of the self-serve machine are workings, you can count on waiting in a six person line in one of their three open checkout lanes, out of all the lanes that stretch across the front of the store. i hate walmart and i hate most people who come here. i mean, walmart only sells chemically infused trash. im not surprised that there is so much misery here when the only thing to consume is garbage. this isnt the first negative experience i've had but i got the time to write a review today. read more

Beware buying liquor from here. Bought a bottle of tequila that so hadn't tried before. Brought it home and was drinking it pretty heavy between my man and I. Thought it was so strange because it was super smooth. No bite or burn at all. 5 shots each before we even felt anything. We aren't heavy drinkers but drank the whole bottle between the two of us and normally would wake up hungover but woke up feeling great. Thought this was the holy grail tequila. We then were at Total wine and thought, let's get it again! We loved it before so we must love it now! Wrong. Total wine gave us the REAL tequila. It's not bad but it has some pretty decent bite and burn and 2 shots in we feel it. Never buying liquor from walmart again. read more

The is the worst after Christmas shopping of all the stores we visited in Gilbert, Mesa, Chandler area. Beware of pricing, their prices are not as advertised on the shelf, Implying customers are putting non holiday merchandise on 50% off shelves Very obvious the employees are weary of the Christmas season, only a few days left for them. The front end manager, Kristy, was very annoyed that she had to come to garden center to talk to customers, she tried talking over the phone about prices of Red and green kitchen utensil not reduced in price. The cashier said they had a meeting that morning and were told not to change any pricing, the computer is correct (Walmart in my experience has had wrong prices before). This manager was very abrupt and wanted to see where I got the utensils and races ahead of me, her actions told me she had no time for old customers. She told me the store manager said the price are what they are. We spoke with the store manager and she was not helpful, defensive and not apologetic for the rude behavior by her manager. Obviously she is part of the problem. Tip: the three Target stores in the area had better after Christmas promotions and they are much nicer to the customers. I do not support the Target restroom politics, but there is an effort to treat the customers with respect. We will be going there more often; there are other stores that want the customers to come in, not just order on line. Walmart is to busy being an amazon.com and appears to be forgetting it base. Probably the worst experience I've ever had with a grocery store. I always do pick up orders to the power and southern location and somehow my order ended up at greenfield and the 60 instead. It's not very close to my house so I was a little irritated but at this point wasn't upset mess ups happen. Upon arriving to the Walmart on greenfield is when I had issues. Not only was I hung up on when I called to check in but they couldn't find my order and sent the manager out to speak to me. Not only was she the rudest manager I've ever spoken to but she also said they canceled my order with no notice via text or email about it. I will NEVER goto this Walmart again and I will NEVER use there drive up service again. I used to work at target doing drive up orders I know what it is like they have no right to be this rude to a customer that is just confused why her order was canceled. Very disappointed. read more

Stood in line way too long waiting for any associate. Two associates left the windows they helped others at and never came back. I waited and waited and was joined by another customer. We joked how maybe it was self-service today. I eventually left and went to CVS, up the street, for my flu immunization and to have two scripts filled. The pick up service here is a joke. I received a text that my order was ready. I get there and end up waiting 20 minutes after I checked in. 2 other cars left without their items before I decided to leave. The door to the back where the employees are was open and they were all just standing around. This has been my favorite WalMart in my area and sad to say, after my visit today I realize that the updates to this location look amazing yet the service was horrible...just out the door like the old fixtures! There was at least a dozen employees that walked passed me or that I saw standing around gossiping about how injured they are to work and how the lead of this department wanted forgiveness for asking them to work as it was not his fault! After that, I realize that the format for the savings catcher has changed not allowing for receipt to NO longer be scanned, forcing us as consumers to pay by way of our phones using the WalMart app! A few issues with that is, NOT everyone has a data plan that they are willing you run up for A WalMart. NOT everyone has a smartphone or a state issued phone with unlimited svc, NOT everyone has a bank account, NOT everyone wants their personal info invaded by some huge corporations such as WalMart! Mr. Walmart may want to reconsider theses updates in place or go back to offering a savings card to be swiped at checkout like the traditional stores do. I do realize change is great yet this is one change I cannot get with as I know not everyone has it like that to keep up with the Jones at Walmart! Waited for my battery to charge, because it won't start my engine. The mechanic give an estimate of 1 to 1.5 hours to complete the charging. The battery warranty of 5 years bought it last 11/2015. The auto care center decided to have it replaced he said it taking to long to for me to wait. And I drove average of 100 miles a day. It's better to have a reliable battery at work. read more

Wow is this place ghettooooo. I dislike Wal Mart to begin with but, man this place is bad. I went in there because someone gave me a give card to Wal Mart, and was going to use it on a gift for my father. They didn't have what I was looking for, which is really not that big of a deal. They helped me with finding it at the San Tan location (which is much nicer). But then ghetto happened, as I was walking out the door, three employees were standing there talking about a customer and dropping F bombs like it was nothing. The store is on Safe. They do not enforce mask-wearing once you are inside. A lady entering the store asked if she had to wear a mask and the security man at the door hesitated and didn't say anything. They are not safe since they don't follow their own rules and they don't enforce them. read more

The pick up staff are exceptional at this location. (This is "my" Walmart and normally dealing with non-cashier/greeter staff isn't...nice) I was there earlier this afternoon for a pick up. (first time) I was in my car having trouble checking in when I see Jennifer's smiling face approach my vehicle. She took care of my check-in-situation and assured me that, even though the app was malfunctioning, she had me covered. Only a few minutes later I saw that she did! Steven arrived with my order. He was very friendly and communicative; let me know my order was fully picked and asked if I would like special placement of fragile items. When I inquired after his name and that of the woman who helped me earlier (Jennifer) he seemed to actually grow concerned that there was some dissatisfaction on my part. ...Far from it, friend.
