There are great eats at Rodizio, Chop Shop, Panera, and other places as well. Love the service and selection at AJ Fine Foods, though the prices are higher. Still worth it for quality in my opinion. Dana Park Village Square is a huge outdoor mall shopping center with many stores & plenty of restaurants & eateries to satisfy even the pickiest eater. Located off the 60 & Val Vista in Mesa, this mall features Guitar Center, Bath & Body Works, AJ's Fine Foods, & Talbot's, just to name a few stores. Five Guys, Cafe Zupas, & The Vig are just some of the many places to grab a meal before or after shopping. The service at these places are very good. Value is good as well. read more

I was in the store and Sarah was great!!! I was looking for an item in several colors. She noticed and offered to go look in the back but also she searched the racks to help. I was able to get the item in 3 colors with her help. I also had a question about the tax being repeated on the receipt. I am giving this shopping center a 2 star rating - this is a generous rating based off my experience here. I really like the design and curb appeal of this shopping area - it resembles the Newport Beach area of southern CA and has tons of parking. The design and looks of this place deserve 5 stars. However, the variety of shopping is very limited. Most of the businesses are restaurants and food places, and you can only eat so much food! The shopping consists of furniture places, clothing geared toward an older crowd of people, a bath and body works, and a barns and noble. My poor shopping experience occurred in June. It was over 100 degrees outside. The Dana Park Village Square is NOT prepared for the shopping problems that occur due to COVID-19 restrictions. There were no umbrellas to create shade, no misters to cool off customers, no fans, and not one Dana Park associate or store associate handing out water to customers! I understand that stores can only allow a very limited amount of customers into their stores at one time. Dana Park Village Square needs to figure something out, because there was absolutely no reason to make customers stand outside, in a line, in over 100 degree Arizona heat, with absolutely zero measures to cool people off! This is seriously unhealthy and it is only a matter of time before someone passes out from dehydration! I was here for the Bath and Body Works store and the line was so long, you would have thought it was black Friday! Where was a representative of Dana Park Village Square? Nowhere to be found! They need to work with the individual stores so that this type of line with ZERO cooling measures does not occur again! read more

This is a beautiful shopping center with a great mixture of shops and restaurants. It's a nice place to shop, eat, and walk around. I love all the fountains scattered throughout the property. I was driving home from highway with my new born baby,and she was crying so much and puke, so i have to stop as fast as possible incase anything happen to her but i didnt want to stop on high way because its dangerous. So i quickly pull over into the parking lot to see what wrong with her.and this security guy pull next to my car and told me to leave.i had explain it for him that i just need 10 to 15min to calm her down. And he said he doesnt care. He harassed me and told me to leave right away while the baby is crying . He make it seem like i want to stay there or something. Or i need is feed the baby and calm her down. And he doesnt give the damn care about it. So i have to drive to the other side of the street with crying newborn in the car. read more

On my most recent visit to Dana park, I was threatened with jail time by security for having an app open on my phone. Pokemon go players are no longer welcome at Dana park. When the mobile phenomenon was first released, Dana park's social media pages were quick to post pictures of how many Pokemon and pokestops were in the mall. This drew many of my friends and countless other players to the mall and its businesses. However, many people are now being harassed by security, being told that Pokemon go is not allowed and that if they are seen again they will be sent to jail for trespassing. This is written nowhere, and the management has not responded to the mass demand for answers on social media. Instead, all of the previous posts inviting Pokemon go players to the mall have been deleted, and security continues to harass players when they are doing nothing wrong. If you are looking for a safe and inviting place to shop and dine, avoid Dana park. They will pull your car over for no reason or even stop you while you're walking from store to store just to make sure you aren't playing a game. read more

Also the parking lot is dangerous, some are 4 way stops, some are two way. Unless your familiar with it, everyone is stopping when they shouldn't, and driving around confused. read more

I used go to Dana park very frequently to visit restaurants like sauce, chipotle, ra, and California pizza kitchen. When Dana park became known as "one of the best places in the valley to catch Pokemon" for the Pokemon go app, my visits became even more frequent. Dana park became the place to go to play the app and get some food or go shopping. However, on my last visit I was told by a security officer that "it doesn't matter if you're Obama or the pope, if you play the pokemon app you can't be here and we will arrest you." Patrons of the many stores Dana park has to offer are being harassed and threatened in rude ways for simply walking playing a mobile game. The stores and restaurants are great but if you have your phone out at all then you will be harassed and not welcomed there. read more

Best part of this mall? The pokestops! Don't Pokemon Go and drive! BUT if you have a co-pilot, this is the best place that I've found to restock on pokeballs and eggs! You can do a lap around the front of the stores, and then around the back of the stores and hit the pokestops in the park behind the shopping center. There's about 16! A complete loop takes about 4.5 minutes, so catching one Pokemon, or going out of the way to hit a far one, you can hit right on the 5 minute pokestop reset timer. And there's some shopping, I think. If you're hungry, go to Costa Vida or Capriotti's. read more

It's a bit far away for us, but has some fun shops and great food options. Our family of five visited here recently and was enjoying a nice evening of eating out, the book shop, boutique-ing, and then picking up some unique treats and sodas at AJ's. We were picking up pokestops as we went (my husband as copilot) and were stopped by security (!) who informed us that while we were not doing anything illegal and were being safe and not bothering anyone, that management did not appreciate this phone app being used on their property and would like us to leave. I am giving the mall 2 stars, mainly because I like Barnes and Noble and that kids clothes store. I used to go there a lot for the pokestops, but now those are gone and I have read posts about people being harassed?? A pleasant exception to the other strip malls in Arizona, feels more like an oasis with a large central fountain and Palm trees that hide the otherwise typical facades. I used to really enjoy shopping here, especially at AJ's and Barnes & Noble. However, security has been extra pushy lately. I can't even text my mother without being harassed by security asking if I'm playing Pokemon Go. This has happened twice already and I'm sick of the approach. I really like Dana Park, although it has trees and a fountain is not really a park and I haven't got a clue who Dana is. It is the best and closest shopping center to where we live. It has several of our favorite things, the best yogurt from Yogurtland, Barnes and Noble bookstore where we browse and read, AJ's Fine foods with their tasty treats, Panda Express for oodles of noodles, and Sprint for our phones. There areso many different shopping stops like Bath and Bodyworks, White House Black Market, Chicos, Z-Gallery, probably more. It's definitely filled with choices of food galore, Pei Wei, Sauce, Ra Sushi, TQLA and Paradise Bakery, there's even Orange Theory Gym located there too. You'll love Dana Park there's so much to eat, see and do! read more

Dear Dana Park, I am a taxpayer and resident of Gilbert, Arizona. I have been coming to your shopping center over a year now. As a customer I spend roughly between $50 and $100 at the various restaurants and shops in your center every week thanks to the convenience of having most everything I could ask for in the same area. The following establishments are where I have visited and have done so frequently over the last year: Firehouse Subs, Panda Express, Chipotle, Sprint, Chase, Sport Clips, Five Guys, Pit Jungle, Ra Sushi, Bath & Body Works, The Harp, Pei Wei Asian Diner, Panera Bread Co, AJ's, and Barnes and Noble. I had looked forward to visiting several other shops here as well due to buying a new house and being in need of new furniture and decorative items. As you may be aware a new game called Pokémon Go has recently been released and I have noticed a massive increase in people in this shopping center. Basic business principals indicate that increased foot traffic bring customers to businesses, so I imagine Pokémon Go has brought many new customers to these shops. While most establishments are embracing new times and the changes (and revenue) my generation are bringing, some are closing themselves off. Recently a new security guard has been hired to tell people playing Pokémon Go here that they have to leave the property, whether they are paying customers or not. With how often not only I come to Dana Park and spend Monday, but how often now my boyfriend, friends, and our families shop here I would imagine we spend enough money to pay for at least a good portion of your newly hired security guard's weekly salary. It is regretfully and with great disappointment that I am informing you that I will be boycotting Dana Park and will no longer spend my money in any of the shops who reside there. I will also be encouraging not only my friends and family, but any other paying customers who go there and also happen to play Pokémon Go to stop spending their money there, as it has becoming an unwelcoming environment and is choosing to be biased against paying customers. I would encourage you to rethink your position, the times are changing and my generation are the ones spending money and making decisions. If the business in Dana Park have noticed an increase in customers recently I would also encourage them to reach out to Dana Park and express their concern over their customers being run out. read more

Wow, I met some friends over here in Mesa and was pleasantly surprised with this shopping center! Living in Scottsdale we have a few nice outdoor shopping areas and was excited to see this one out here in Mesa. The mall itself seems pretty small, but there is still plenty to do and its well kept. I love that they have an AJ's in the middle of the layout (I'm not sure why, but I appreciate that...weird). There are lots of food choices from RA sushi to Five Guys to Bucca di Beppo. I could use a little more clothing store options, but love that there is Anthropologie and White House Black Market. Also, the parking is fantastic with spaces big enough to actually fit your care (take note Kierland Commons!). read more

They took away the Pokemon Go gyms and stops! I was a loyal customer to many of the restaurants and shops, and took advantage of all the Pokemon activities while I was there, but no more. What a gem of a shopping center in Mesa! A real jewel in Mesa's shopping venues. Beautiful landscaping and nice parking area. The promenade along the front of the stores is so pleasant to walk along, with its stunning, massive stone columns, fountains and pavers. There is a very nice selection of women's clothing, home furnishings, groceries, bookstore, dining, etc. and even a Ferguson's for dazzling lighting, bath & kitchen fixtures, etc. The AJ's grocery store is a delight to walk through, not just for the pristine produce section, but also all the interesting non-food items they offer. I enjoy spending a few relaxing hours dining & shopping at this splendid retail center. read more

This is a pretty nice shopping area, I don't live to far from it and I enjoy going over there on weekends. There's defiantly good eating places over here and it's a mixture of foods. I was over at Dana Park this week for my dentist app at mesa modern dentistry and I was really surprise to find how nice of an area Dana Park is. We used to come here once a week to hit up Poke stops and spend about $20 bucks on treats; but, now that they've decided to remove the Poke stops there's little reason for us to drive the 20 mins to get there. We've all heard the rumors that the owner hated Pokémon traffic, hired a security firm to harass patrons, and complained that business was only up by 2%. Such a shame to complain that business is up in a slow strip mall, but you don't like the traffic. Live and learn, I guess. read more

I may never go back here again after talking to the property manager Eric Blumsack who represents the management company Whitestone. I called about the prominent signage that I found in front of Barnes & Noble that reads "NO BICYCLES, SKATEBOARDS, ROLLERSKATES, OR ROLLERBLADES ALLOWED ON PREMISES". Don't ride a bike to get here!! Walk, bring a car, or a horse I guess.  This signage is not environmentally friendly, nor is it neighborhood friendly!! To say Blumsack was unprofessional, rude, and a disgusting representative of a fairly nice property is putting it mildly and completely holding my tongue. I am not a kid trying to ride on planters or tear up the place as only SOME kids would do in the first place. I am an adult customer who could be a potential lessee but Eric didn't care. He barked at me, was short, and couldn't even tell me for sure if there were bike racks on the premises, only that they "were to code" and he was "not going to change anything". This is a shopping center surrounded by neighborhoods where people should be welcomed to ride their bikes and stay for a while! Eric should be fired for the way he handled himself. read more

I used to come and shop here all the time. When Pokemon Go came out I started to take my 5 year old disabled daughter there. It is extremely hard for her to walk so I used to be her driver and drive her around Dana Park while she caught Pokemon. Apparently Dana Park hired some Nazi security guards as they started to harass me when I was driving . When I was approached by by a security guard he asked me if I was playing Pokemon go. I told him I was not but My daughter is. He then said that Dana Park doesn't want anything to do with Pokemon go. I tried to explain to him that my daughter is disabled, it's tough for her to walk, and she loves playing Pokemon. Then the security guard said he didn't care and he was going to call the cops and have me arrested, in front of my daughter... And she started to cry thinking I was going to jail. Now my daughter is crushed and doesn't want to play Pokemon go anymore thinking I will go to jail. I Am extremely disappointed with Dana Park. They posted on social media bragging about the poke stops, gyms, and now they are kicking people out. This sounds like "Get off my lawn" old grumpy people would say and do. I Am taking my business to Tempe and Mesa Riverview. I Am cancelling my Orange theory gym membership and I will never give Dana Park a penny. read more

I've been going to Dana park recently for dinner and to look around the book store and the guitar store. After that I'd walk around playing the new pokemon game for 20 minutes or so. Dana park has recently hired some incredibly rude and intrusive security guards to prevent people from playing this game. I've been asked to leave for just looking at the app. This is absolutely ridiculous. As much as I love the restaurants here, I'm not going to be harassed by security for just shopping here and looking at my phone. If you would like a less intrusive experience and more polite security, I'd recommend eating at sky harbor. read more
