I moved to Eugene in November 2025. I have lived here six months now and not once have I seen any kind of repair on the Walmart parking lot potholes. This store is the worst I've ever seen stay away if you value your tires and rims and under vehicle components. You come in for milk and eggs, but leave needing new tie rods and suspension. No longer a customer of the Optical Dept. Unlike the prior glasses I purchased from the west Eugene WalMart, I could not read while lying in bed except for a very narrow band at the bottom of the lenses they produced with the new frames. I brought my prescription back to the location and asked to have the lenses compared with the prescription to see if they were consistent. The employee did so and brought back a computer printout. She pointed out differences and said my vision had changed. I told her the prescription should be consistent with the lenses since it was the same I presented for the initial purchase. I told her I had purchased the frames/lenses a few months ago. She said they have a "Satisfaction Guaranteed" policy. The employee contacted the department manager about the differences. The manager said she couldn't use her glasses while reading in bed either. I said it had not been a problem with the prior glasses purchased. I said that the lenses should have been consistent with the prescription written. She said that the glasses should have been returned within two months of purchase. I said there was a manufacturer's defect that they should correct. The manager said the lenses were made consistent with the prescription. I explained her employee said there was a difference between the prescription and my lenses, stating my vision was getting worse. The employee recanted her story in front of the manager and said she hadn't said that. So much for their "Satisfaction Guaranteed" policy. Had they simply replaced the lenses, or compromised by asking me to pay half the fee for new lenses, I would be glad to do so. Instead, they opted to stick me with their defective product, was untruthful, and lose my future business. read more

This is my main Walmart since I live in the area, so I've been here several times lately. It's not the best Walmart but it's also not the worst. The layout of the store is...interesting. It's kind of all over the place. I always end up writing down the aisle numbers for whatever I'm looking for before I go otherwise I'll waste time wandering around the store trying to find everything. The aisles aren't too narrow but there are a lot of carts and bins that are just abandoned in them that can make it difficult to navigate. The online inventory is usually accurate but sometimes it will show that there is a low stock on something when there is actually a lot of it on the shelf. I haven't run into the issue where something shows as being in stock when it's not, yet, though I think it's only a matter of time before that does happen. The people who work here are usually friendly. The greeters are friendly and I've never seen them give anyone any attitude. The cashiers are busy but friendly. It can be hard to get someone to help you when you need help getting something out of a locked cabinet, but I don't need to do that too often. The parking lot is huge and has plenty of accessible spots as well as regular spots. It's easy to get in and out of, you just need to be prepared to deal with people who don't know how to drive or who are entitled and think they should go ahead of you. I'll keep going to this Walmart since I haven't had a horrible experience here. read more

I hate, I mean, absolutely hate being that guy. But Walmart car center is 100% absolutely the worst O have ever been to. Back story, I was looking for new tires for my 09 Focus. She is my baby. First car I ever bought new. I do all the maintenance on her after an incident with a dealership. Anyways, new tires. I was pricing tires around town, and unfortunately, Walmart had the beat deal on tires in town. I debated this with my wife for a few days and came to the conclusion: What is the worst that can happen with a tire change? I mean, they remove the old tire, mount the new tire on, balance it, that's it. So, against my better judgment, I decided to give Walmart a shot. And boy did that not work out as easy as it should. After I got my car back, my tpms light was on. I thought, after a few miles, it'll go off. My car is finicky that way. Happens everytime I get new tires. Well, after a few days, I started getting TpmS Fault warning. I ran a program called ForScan and noticed that the tpms wasn't registering with the computer. I contacted Walmart and was told that they aren't responsible for TPMS damage. This irked me, and I thought, what the hell. I grew up without TPMS on my tires, I'll just disable it through ForScan. I also contacted a Fird Dealership and talked with a service writer about how much it'd cost. (My tpms are band not value). He did state that Walmart is known for damaging the and not fixing them, and they are 200 bucks a piece to replace. Again, I figured screw it, I don't need them. And that was that. Well, today I wanna do a break job. I get all my stuff ready, break loose the driver side tire lugs, no issue. Go to the passenger side, and awwbreak loose three of the lugs. The 4th one is different. My lug wrench doesn't fit it. It's a different size. This usually wouldn't bother me in the least. But, my car is practically original. And, they didn't tell me about switching the lug. I called them and spoke with the manager. He insisted that they don't change lugs. I did s tire rotation a few months before the new tires. He then, after realizing they screwed up, stated that the lug nut was "swollen," and it needed to be changed. I asked why they wouldn't tell me about this, and he insisted they did. Which they didn't. Anyways, long story short, do not ever use Walmart for tire changes. They obviously don't give two craps about customers. Never again will I use them and learned my lesson the hard way! read more

Lady at customer service is on a power trip, refusing to return something that was "opened" when it didn't have a zip tie around it although I've never opened it. Do not go here. This is the worst Walmart I have ever been to and no one there is friendly or helpful. Multiple employees wearing earbuds on the floor while they are working, instead of providing customer service. The employees at the counter are rude and have no intention on helping. I did come across one employee who was nice but clueless. Gave me bad information and when I asked if he could bring someone over to help, he called a team lead or supervisor over and that person answered "No, tell her to call the 800 number" and just flat out refused for no reason. Try looking for a price on something....nothing is in the correct place. CHECK THE SKUS before assuming what you want is at the price it is stored by. Couldn't find a price scanner anywhere. Complete disorganization. Multiple items I needed were in two separate locations in this store. Do yourself a favor and go to the Green Acres or Springfield location. I have been ordered groceries and every day items for pickup through the app. I love the convenience and the options I have. Although it doesn't always include everything in the store & sometimes it will say it's available until you get there and things will be left out. Overall it's great for convenience and it helps my busy days seem less stressful when all I have to do is show up and sign my name while someone loads my car with groceries. I've probably done pickup 10+ times now in both Eugene & Springfield. Going into the store always feels like a maze. The store never feels like it has a very good flow and things are so scattered. While Walmart has good prices, their search engine is horrible and cannot seem to process more than 1 or 2 filters without messing up the search results. Furthermore, better prices can often be found on Amazon and the items are often coming from the same third party seller. Walmart is trying to compete with Amazon with their next day delivery, but I haven't been able to get my time right in terms of ordering early enough to get that option even if the items are marked 'next day delivery' eligible; also, Walmart's 2 day delivery isn't as good as Amazon's. You can order from Walmart on Monday, they don't process it until Tuesday and maybe ship that day in which you should get items by Thursday, but if they don't ship until Wednesday, items are delivered by Friday, so that's really 3 or 4 day delivery; whereas with Amazon, they give you the 'order by' countdown to have items delivered by a certain date and if you order on Monday, you'll most likely have your items in 2 days on Wednesday! read more

I ordered 2 pair of Levi 501 button down Jean's online. Picked them up and realized they had a sipper an a knockoff Levi label. I tried to return the Jean's. I was told my account was locked and I needed to call 1-800 Walmart. I did and was told the Jean's for some unknown reason were not refundable. Walmart offered to give me a $25 coupon. But I had to join Walmart + for about $100 for the year membership. So Walmart seems to have scammed me for $50 on the look alike Levi's and then wants me to pay them more to make it right. read more

A man working at the front check out at Walmart this morning blessed me when my bank card strip and chip wouldn't go through. I started to panic because I could see the money in my account on my phone app. I called my bank and they put me on hold for 20 minutes trying to see what in the world was wrong with my bank card. Harold I believe his name was finally pulled out his debit card and paid my remaining balance. Before this even occurred i would drive the extra miles to go to this Walmart because it's a super Walmart and it's always clean. I would always go to his self check out section prior to this because he is always so amazing when I see him whipping around there, smiling, always in a good mood he has no problem helping the customers at self check out. I had called corporate before to let them know they need to hire a hundred more of him. I couldn't help to cry because in todays new era human kindness is lost. It's not the money it's the fact that he didn't judge me I had rushed there early to get a gift for my daughters classmate who's father just passed and some medicine and I was looking like a horrible mess. I could of easily came back to pick up the rest of my items but he said stop it you'll see me again. What also touched me he has the same name as my late grandpa. I want to go back and do something amazing for him. My daughter was going to be late for school and the bank wasn't open yet, I just couldn't believe his kindness he didn't have to do that I could of waited. Its funny I try to bless whoever I can and I never think of it or the impact it has on them because that's how God made me but today I saw it first hand. Has anyone noticed that Walmart prices are skyrocketing ...we shop there every two weeks and we are AMAZED at the greed WalMart is showing in their prices. The store that "has the best prices and best customer service" AND, their Customer Service is pretty much non-existent. I was there around 10 am today and they did not have one cashier. Two women were running back and forth trying to keep up with all of us who were having to use the self-service machines. I was in a real hurry to pick up my husband and the self-service is so cumbersome..plus I'm a senior..I'm at that age I want someone to bag my groceries and give me customer service with a smile. I used to love this store..now it is organized in such a haphazzard non-sensical way...it is so frustrating and they have taken out the brands I love and put their brands...I want my 10 lbs of UNBLEACHED Gold Medal Flour, etc. etc. They are getting so over the top expensive that I might as well go to the Safeway close to my home. read more

This is probably the biggest Walmart in the Eugene area, and I enjoy going to it. I have come here several times to get our oil changed on our car as well as get some other car things done. They really know what they are doing and go above and beyond to help make sure your car is taken care of, and at a good price. Of course, Walmart is Walmart. I'll give the West 11th WalMart 4 stars. 3 of the stars are just for being open until midnight. I work late, so I appreciate businesses open the late night hours and have found myself under pressure and sprinting in just minutes before closing to get a WiFi printer, paper and ink. I consistently find the staff in ALL departments to be friendly and helpful. If they don't know where something is (and they usually do) they'll quickly find someone else who does. Yeah, maybe some of the shoppers look a bit suspect and I'm pretty sure I witnessed a drug deal go down in the parking lot-- or perhaps they were just "low" high-fiving because they were stoked to see each other... but you'll be fine. read more

Okay, I gotta tell you how dumb people are here. Firstly, I never shop at Walmart (yeah, I suppose you can say I'm one of those mom'n pop store supporters, not to mention the kinds of people you run into (sometimes rather uneducated folk) except when I'm dragged out by the significant other. So let me just drop it down with this anecdote of mine: On a recent trip here, my other half and I were lookin' around for some rubbing alcohol (as a technical person, I call it isopropyl alcohol. Basic enough to understand). After lost hopes, I went up to an employee and asked, "Where do I find isopropyl alcohol?" *Literal moment* Employee slowly squints at me, upper lip slightly lifted towards one side, "If we have it, it will be on Aisle 27" (pointing at the aisle). So I turned around and looked up at the aisle sign, and just shook my head in disdain. I just walked away ignoring her. This photo I have posted will explain why. This is THE worst Wal-Mart in the country! The store is overly bright, like I have to wear sunglasses inside the store. It's an absolute mess. Floors are filthy, covered in a black, sticky mess because people have walked through whatever was spilled and then tracked all over the store. Employees are beyond rude and useless. If you ask for something, the standard response is, "if we have it, it's over there" while pointed in a vague direction, far away from where you are. This is also Eugene, so you've got the ridiculous bag ban. God forbid you forget your reusable bags and need to buy a paper bag. You're looked down on by the cashier because you're killing the environment, even those it's paper bags that are easily recycled. There's absolutely nothing good to report about this store. What is Eugene doing with two Walmarts? Is it getting so big in the city that two Walmarts in relatively semi-close distances to each other is necessary? Either way, this is easily the worst of the two, but only because the one along Green Acres feels bigger and is newer. While this Walmart is along a major road (11th) and is more public transportation friendly, I can't help but think the other one wins the battle in terms of stocked inventory and customer service. Have a whole basket of stuff and go up to find a cashier only to find the self check outs open and not one cashier to help us with a huge amount of stuff, but the worst part is, there were 7 workers just in my sights probably many more, that were just standing around with their arms crossed not doing a damn thing. A pretty wondrous Double Whammy of an experience out there. First, the "greeter"... who will eagerly let you know that you are Grade A Garbage just for crossing her path. Oh, it's bad. Maybe she was pissed because she had to just barely get out of her chair for a second there. Anyway, I had a return that "needed" to go to electronics, only to get to electronics and learn that it was actually supposed to just go to customer service. As expected to begin with. But hey, thanks to the "greeter" for wasting my time whilst simultaneously condescending to me unnecessarily! Huzzah! But this was all just the prelude to the main event... the Aficionado of Inefficiency known as Chad. Oh, yes. This guy was a piece of (grotesquely apathetic) work. Puts the "pro" in "professional", believe you me. Chad is so magnificently morose about his job that NO ONE is too good for a dishing-out of his passive-aggressive gwumpy act. In all seriousness, one should just meander on over to Customer Service and hang out by the coin machine in order to watch this guy "work". The excruciatingly - and oh-so-deliberately - slow pace of "help". The eye-rolling! The entitled lack of all & any effort... in any way, shape or form. It is breathtaking to behold. And the resulting ever-lengthening line of people gives him the kind of captive audience most of us can only dream of! We are visiting Eugene to move my son into the University and came to this Walmart location looking for an inexpensive bike to use on campus. We were helped by "Steven" in the bike department. He was extremely helpful in helping us pick and try out a bike. He also helped us find the most logical U lock to purchase. I never expected this level of service from Walmart. They don't stand behind their products! I bought a Hamilton Beach microwave from them (Hamilton Beach is owned by Walmart) The Microwave lasted for 5 months then it started to make noises, ceased to cook, and gave off a burning smell. I called the corporate office and because I have a receipt and proof of purchase via the Walmart App, They told me to bring the microwave in, show the receipt, and trade with a new one. Which I did, Unfortunately, they didn't have it in stock nor did any other Walmart in the state. So instead of refunding or exchanging for a like item, they stated I would need to wait until one comes in... But they didn't know when, They said it could be a month. I called corporate again and after being on hold for 45 minutes the lady said, and I quote "Go back in, talk to the manager again, If the manager gives you any push back ya'll call us back, and we will tell the manager that we need to exchange this microwave with the same one." Her brilliant idea was to confront the same employees again and wait on hold in the store for 45 minutes in an attempt to exchange it for the same product which they didn't have in stock. Then she begged me to give her a 5-star rating for her useless help. I'm done with Walmart and their shotty products and poor customer skills. read more

What a zoo it was today. Supposedly they are limiting the total number of people in the store at once. It was so crowded it was impossible to avoid other shoppers in many areas. Some of the shoppers weren't helping by trying to push through already occupied aisles. One guy was literally carrying a bale of paper towels over his head running amongst other shoppers in an all too crowded checkout area. Staff weren't much help either. While I was checking out at the self-checkout, a staff member came over and stood right beside me then took my debit card out of the terminal. Barehanded I might add. Our faces were about a foot apart. I stepped away immediately. I know she was trying to reset the terminal to help my payment go through but how hard would it have been to offer a verbal "pardon me" and ask me to remove my card from the terminal myself. Walmart can be something of an ordeal in normal times but during today while we are still mid-pandemic was horrible. My advice, shop anywhere else. read more
