I called with an accident and needed a Plan B and the person answering the phone said "no we don't carry that but we have pregnancy tests" and I definitely understood what she was saying and I think that's insanely unprofessional for a person in the role as the front facing of a business to demonstrate their personal/religious opinion. Hiron's uses the same principle as dense urban areas: when real estate is limited, build vertically! The place it quite literally floor-to-ceiling with gifts, merch, sundries, goodies, and sooooo much more. The only minor knock is the 'organization' can be a touch shaky, but hey, throw in friendly service and that lack of sales tax in Oregon (I'm not local and love that) and WHAM! winner of a place. One of my wife's fave takeaways from a visit to see our Duck is a T-shirt from Hiron's; she always gets complements on it! You're on your own with parking since Safeway shares the lot and it can be like playing Frogger getting to the door (with you as the frog). Prices are fair and match the value, but if you need UO with a swoosh....then you can overspend elsewhere. This is a family owned business so I'd rather spend my dollars here than a big box store. If you get a chance, definitely give this store a try before heading to the chain stores. He was so incredibly welcoming when I walked in the door gave me a bright, happy good morning when I walked in. I stopped at the photo counter and he was the one who came to help me there to pick up the photos that I had had printed. When he said that he could go ring me up at the register or if I had other things to pick out to feel free to do that. It reminded me that I did in fact have a couple items that I needed to get which I quickly picked up with his help because he knew exactly where the item that I was looking for was. And then when I left and he checked me out, he was chipper as I'll get out, especially for someone who had come in on his day off on a day that was absolutely beautiful. Not at all Alexander related, but it must be mentioned: The parking lot is an absolute freaking mess. It seems like the only way you're actually supposed to enter the parking lot is via driving north and entering from that direction. Leaving is also a one-way situation, continuing north. The parking lot is way too small for Walgreens and Dutch Bros.

I'd pay extra for such immediate access to a doctor, but they offer it with every prescription! Plus, free overnight shipping, straight to my door. Now that I've moved out of state, they still ship right to me. And my cash-pay weight loss meds are far more cost-effective than any big name pharmacy, but they also accept my insurance plan for my other prescriptions. We are so fortunate to have such a dedicated and locally-owned compounding pharmacy right here in Eugene.
