I came to this pharmacy to pick up a prescription for my mom that her doctor had put in at least one day--possibly two--before my pickup mission. The tech said that she had one of the prescriptions ready and when I asked how long for the second, she said it could be an hour or two. Now, I don't know how a pharmacy works; I don't know how they fill prescriptions. But it seems clear that it's not per patient or in the order received since they had the pills, but just hadn't filled the prescription. A day or two later I went to pick up prescriptions for mom and they had one of the prescription ready but not the second. The pharmacist overheard and said that he was in the process of filling the second so it would be a few more minutes, so I waited, got them both, and left. When I got back home and mom looked at them and that's when we learned the prescription the Rite Aid app said was ready for pickup was not amongst those that they gave me. When she called the next morning to ask if it was ready and why it was not there when I went yesterday, she was told that they have until the end of the day to fill them. But that doesn't make sense--why would you say it's ready when it wasn't just because you have until day's end? It's not actually ready for pickup then, is it? Also ridiculous is that they sometimes just close the drive-up window. I went last night a little more than an hour before closing and there was a hand-written sign saying "drive-thru closed". I went in last night since they'd done that, but this morning when I went to see if that missing prescription was ready the drive thru was still closed, this time 1.5 hours or so after they opened. I couldn't go in this time since I had a sick child with me, so I'm going to have to make a third trip. The service is unbelievably bad; I'm not really sure why it takes them so long to fill a prescription, or why they don't have ready what they say they do, but this isn't the place that I would choose for my prescription needs. Besides the ridiculous pharmacy, I don't understand how they're still in business. There's almost no merchandise in this store. That's not hyperbole--entire aisles are practically bare, so what are they selling? Do they make that much on prescriptions? Avoid at all costs. There are at least a couple independent pharmacies around, such as Hirons and there's also Track Town Pharmacy, so why not support local business instead? read more

Would give zero stars if I could. I went in an hour and a half after my Rx should have been filled and it wasn't ready. They wanted me to wait until after their lunch break because it would take them too long to count out the 90 pills apparently. They asked if I wanted to wait for them or come back. Why would either of those options be a good choice? Would I need to wait to let their food settle too? Plus they said my Rx out loud which isn't the first time they have done that. This makes me extremely uncomfortable as it feels like an incredible breach of privacy. I do not feel comfortable having other customers know what I need to pick up. I will be changing pharmacies after this. Edit to add: my husband called in to make sure the Rx were filled so we didn't have to drive across town again and they refused to fill them until they could verify the insurance. They kept asking for a bin number but refused to accept the group and members ID along with insurance name. Not sure what they do when people don't have insurance.. most frustrating experience ever. read more

Awful pharmacy. Should have read the other reviews before signing on here, but now I'm going to Hirons. Apparently well staffed but totally inefficient. Pharmacist insists on "reviewing" all prescriptions even if I've been taking this statin every day for 15 years. Result is the line is glacial. Not melting glacier slow but truly frozen glacial slow circa 1790. Call them?? Hah!! Don't even try calling them, I was on hold for 17 mins and then they dropped my call. Was told prescription would be ready at 5pm, when called and asked at 11am. Showed up at 5:20pm to be told by a douchy looking child with no chin it was not ready yet. He then acted like I was an ass for asking pertinent questions about the expected timeline instead of letting him slowly vomit basic info. Would not recommend. read more

I have been going to this pharmacy for years and the Asian gentleman pharmacist is always very kind and helpful. Unfortunately, this place needs more help since the pandemic and the service has been declining. I called yesterday to have my daughter's prescription refilled and I actually spoke to someone! Picking up the phone is very rare for this branch. The pharmacist put in the order and told me it would be ready today after 2. She also said I'd receive a text notifying me. I never receive their texts, so I had her verify my number. Well, again no text, and at 5:30 my husband went to stand in line and there were 20 people before him. An hour later, when he reached the front, the woman told him it hadn't been ordered and that there was no medicine. She didn't apologize for anything, but told him he could go to any other rite aid....after he already waited an hour. Needless to say, we will be changing pharmacies. -UPDATE: Day after: both of us called in and someone answered the phone, reassuring us our daughter's medicine was ready. I also received a text a few minutes after hanging up! Husband went to pick it up and there were only 3 people ahead of him. He cane back home in 20 minutes, and I expected him to say he didn't want to wait again, but he had the medicine in hand. I am adding a couple of stars, hoping that these positive changes indicate the coming of better and better service. read more

Only go here if you don't have other options. This location has way too many customers. Orders don't get filled. More often than not, long hold times on phone. Long lines at the pharmacy. I'm writing this review while waiting for 60 minutes on hold. This is not during their all-staff lunch break. They'll put your prescription through a separate processing center, which works for automatic refills, but medications that cannot be automatically refilled can get major delays. I can't see status of refill on RiteAid.com, either. I don't know if its being processed without calling. I want to use online/automated systems to do these things, but I can't. So for me, I have to: 1. Through automated phone, submit refill request by prescription number. 2. Call the pharmacy to ask them to "expedite" it (fill the prescription locally.) 3. Wait for the text that it's filled. 4. Go wait in long lines. 5. Hope this process takes less than a week. So this time, I put in a refill over a week ago, never got a text. I called 3 days ago and asked about the refill. They said it will get filled in the, "next couple of days." Now its a few days, and I'm on the phone for the second time to follow up. I'm out of medication tomorrow morning. Every other month, its a razor edge like this. I'm sick of it. I can't find another pharmacy with my medication in the area. If you have other options, please go for them. The staff I interact with at this location are nothing but wonderful and professional. They are over worked. This pharmacy is getting to be a third world pharmacy. Try calling them on the phone and you might die from having to wait for eternity only to have your call not go through to anyone. This happened to me for three days trying to call this pharmacy. Just now, I waited on the phone for almost 20 minutes and suddenly, the music ended, which sent a sense of hope that someone was going to pick up my call only to find myself in an endless ringing cue. It was unbelievable how inadequate this Rite-Aide is. I really think it should be rebranded "Wrong-Aide" because clearly there is nothing Rite about this place. Zero for customer service! read more

I have used Rite Aid for my pharmacy for years, and because of my experiences at this location, I've decided to start using Costco despite the fact that it's much farther from my house. It's not the employees' fault. They are friendly and do their best. But they are so severely understaffed that I can't go anymore. It's taken several hours to get prescriptions filled; two times there was an issue with my insurance info, so they called me but it went to voicemail. When I tried calling them back, I couldn't get through. I called probably 30 times with no answer. The store is very under stocked as well. read more

RITE AID PHARMACY IS MESSED UP! I usually don't have too many issues with this pharmacy. But, I'm really upset right now because I've called FOUR DIFFERENT TIMES to get my prescription refilled. They won't do it at the doctor's office because I have refills available. They only refilled another prescription I don't right away. When I call, I'm told there are two people ahead of me, and sit on hold for 30 to 40 minutes with no answer. THIS IS INEFFICIENT and terrible customer service. Now I've been without my prescription for four days. I have anxiety and the thought of going in and waiting hours for them to refill my prescription without calling ahead of time is upsetting. We've been customers for over a decade, but something has absolutely nosedived in recent years. They usually completely forget to process refills, but they NEVER answer the phone when we call to check. My son and I go several days without our meds EVERY MONTH because of this. I have to go in person to remind them to fill things, and then just wait around however long it takes - if it's in stock. The drive-thru is only occasionally open, and slow as molasses. I'm really frustrated, because I've been a loyal Rite Aid customer over many years, cities & states - you guys were solid as a rock. Pharmacist screwed up by giving us fewer than the 90 day supply of medicine for our child - but not having thought to count when I picked up, they wouldn't do anything about it. We had to have doctor call in. Then they wanted to charge us $900 for 1 mg guanfacine. Checked online and the cash (non insurance) price is $20-30 - including at Rite Aid! Tried calling them numerous times to talk to a pharmacist, no one EVER answers. We will definitely be switching pharmacies. Not sure if this branch is closing, but everything was under stocked. All of the shelves were practically empty, except the seasonal section that was surprisingly stocked up. Rite-Aid it's just a gift that keeps on giving. It's not a very nice gift. If you want to check on the prescription and whether it's ready you can forget about it. They don't answer their phones. They busy them. I've wasted more than one trip arriving when no prescription is ready. There's rarely more than one person dealing with customers. The person that's working the counter usually has to deal with the drive up window as well. Fortunately I get most of my prescriptions by mail order and I only have to go to Rite Aid now and again. I certainly won't go there for anything else other than prescriptions I won't give them any more business than I have to read more

One prescription is for high blood pressure medication which it is vital that I take daily or my blood pressure goes through the roof. I've been a customer here for years. It was a good pharmacy at one point. Not anymore. For starters, some days their phone works, some days it doesn't. They will tell you that they are going to get a RX ready and will text you when ready, never happens. You then have to call again. Hoping it's a day they answer or the phone call even connects. Remember that convenient 2 Lane drive through they built, they never have it open anymore. I get that pharmacies are short staffed with Covid. I'm a health care provider, but we are three years into this. It's ridiculous at this point. Last time I was there, after waiting in line for 10 minutes, the girl working there said , "We're closing in 5 minutes, not sure I can help you." I was the only person in line. Sure enough, she told me to come back later, they are going to lunch. This was the last straw, I'm switching over to online pharmacies. Do Not Recommend unless you like wasting time and horrible customer service. read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH RITE-AID. NOT COVID SAFE! UPDATE: See below response from Rite-Aid. Before writing this review, I had already filed a complaint with Rite-Aid using the form on their website. Within about a day, I received a call from a Rite-Aid representative, who was pleasant and seemed concerned, but in fact did absolutely nothing to provide one single incentive for me or anyone else to do business with them. All these representatives do is refer you to their policies. Policies do NOT keep customers safe. People do, and people need management. I can guarantee you that the woman who gave the credit card machine a cursory wipe did not do so for the first time. We all know what someone looks like when they are doing something out of habit. Vacant look on face, lack of attention to detail. Poor management causes businesses to fail, and in this case, poor management can actually cause people to die. Oh, and writing about this reminds me of another thing. Rite-Aid provides baskets for your use, stationed right inside the front door. THESE BASKETS ARE NOT SANITIZED. Think about that one for a while. Now, think about this. THERE IS NO SIGN STATING THE BASKETS ARE NOT SANITIZED. Do you want to know how I found out? Sheer luck. I was walking in the store one day a few weeks ago. The shopper ahead of me was reaching for a basket when the person behind the counter said something to the effect of, well you know those baskets aren't sanitized. Contrast that with the grocery store next door. They make a point of sanitizing all carts, and have clearly marked locations to pick up a sanitized cart and where to drop off used ones. It is a natural expectation to believe that, seeing one store do it, to think that the store right next door would do so as well. One more reason for people to make as few assumptions as possible in life. In this case, if you ASSUME the Rite-Aid basket is safe, it might just end up costing you your life. I have identified two specific areas of COVID-19 danger zones, and the best Rite-Aid can do is tell me they are sorry because I had a bad experience. It was NOT my bad experience. It was my observation of situations that are dangerous to people's lives, and your lame response does nothing to instill confidence that anything will change. When someone dies, and it is traced back to poor practices at your store, you might be a bit more than sorry then. Okay, Rite-Aid representative, what say you now? My original post follows....... __________________________ The day before yesterday, while I was waiting to pick up my prescription, the previous customer just stepped away after completing his transaction. The woman behind the counter, without actually looking at what she was doing, stuck the rag she had just finished using to wipe the counter in the general direction of the credit card machine. At no time did she make any effort to clean, let alone thoroughly clean, the keypad or the stylus. According to the Rite-Aid agent I spoke with on the phone about this, they are supposed to have strict policies about how they clean. I can tell you, for sure, these are NOT being followed. On top of that, the pharmacy was a mess. There were LOTS of blue trays with meds in them piled one on top of each other in plain view of customers. I suppose that is why it took them several minutes to NOT find my prescription, which turned out to be somewhere else entirely. There are LOTS of better, less expensive, more professionally run, and most of all SAFER pharmacies in town, several relatively close by. I suggest you take your business to one of them. read more

Returned some insoles that I bought a day before, was given a giftcard for store credit due to not having receipt for return(understandible). Purchased another pair of insoles with giftcard, but first was asked for I.D. ( wasn't sure why because they didn't specify) which was scanned twice and slid through debit machine once as well. And then proceeded to pay the remaining balance with debit card. In the meantime as I was shopping for other insoles, and browsed other aisles, I looked to the left side of me and it was a big heavy set guy with sunglasses all in black clothing facing towards the shelving of an end cap and he was videoing with his phone towards me. As soon as I looked left he moved his phone in another direction and I left the aisle. I walked up to the front of the check stands to pay for purchase and who do I see is the big heavy set guy in black with sunglasses looking towards my direction talking with the manager Sandy. I had called the 1-800 number for Rite aid Customer Care and mentioned the situation regarding the I.D. and also heavy set guy with glasses following me all over the store. They stated they are filing as harassment and I would hear from the store manager within 1-2 days. I receive an email from the regional retail leader stating that the manager has been trying to call me, but I never received any calls. I had even called my cell phone company to see if they were having troubles, well no trouble at all with my phone anyway. So I emailed the regional retail leader, saying I never received any calls, and verified my number. He responds back and states the manager had the wrong number and will notify her of the new number, and give a call in the later part of the morning. Sandy (the manager) gives a call at 12:15pm. I mention to her what happened with the I.D. and then the big heavy set guy with glasses following me. She had apologized(of which doesn't mean anything to me) cuz how is that gonna help me. She had down talked about her cashier associate saying that she doesn't grasp the concept and will have to be retrained. That is not professional at all. (I didn't have a problem with the cashier at all) And she stated about the I.D. that there systems do ask for I.Ds but apparently Rite aid Customer Care doesn't know that about the I.Ds. Sandy (the manager) apologized for the big heavy set guy with glasses and stated they were trying to get someone that looked like me, (yeah right what a good excuse) and would have a chat with the guy next time he was in. I will never shop rite aid again in my lifetime after this experience. read more

I don't know how this store survives . Half the shelves are empty and they are understaffed. Every time I ask a manager about this issue they tell me they are working on it but yet i see no improvement. A went into the store to purchase a well known popular brand of deodorant and of course they did not have it. As far as the pharmacy goes it is a joke when I call in my prescription it says it will be ready that day or the next day and it ends up taking two to three days after my call in. The pharmacist Alan and a couple others are very nice but some of them are not so nice. You can tell some of the employees are not happy there and I have seen so many of them come and go. Also the drive thru is never open on the weekends and as a disabled person this can be hard for me when this is the only time I can pick up my prescriptions. When i go inside there are about ten to twenty people waiting in line to get their prescriptions. Another time i was waiting in line, Also I overheard one of the pharmacists tell the others that some people call their prescriptions way too early. I am one of those people and I call them in early because I want to make sure I get them before I run out.It shouldn't have to be this way. Another issue is your store is way overpriced. I have been to other Rite Aids and they don't seem to have these issues. I have even made comments to employees at other Rite Aid stores about this one and they always tell me that store has problems. Compared to other pharmacies, this one is lacking staff apparently. Always very busy, always a line to pick up a prescription, and the last straw was that i was promised they'd be ready that afternoon, but they weren't, even the next day. A friend also told me they jack up prices and so she drives to another further away pharmacy instead. Even when I was there first thing after they opened at 8 a.m., there was STILL a line, still a long wait. What happens when you're feeling sick and having to endure this? Okay...I received a concerned email from them, but didn't feel like dealing with this anymore. BUT: I came back to this, and lo and behold, there are others who feel the same way, even more so ! I give them slack, they have only one window for pickups, unless you drive in. But gee, why tell me an Rx would be ready when its not. I also checked price of one medication on line: varied widely, from more to less than their quoted price. (Don't know amounts). I'll keep using them because they're across the street from where I live; otherwise, I wouldn't. SO FAR ! read more

Pharmacy was absolutely horrid. Was there for less than ten minutes for a scheduled COVID test. Spoke to two people at this time, the pharmacist Alan and another woman who come to window, middle aged. Both who were extremely rude in tone of voice and the way they spoke, completely unprompted. I pulled up on time, the rude lady at drive thru window asked my name. I said my last name three times, she couldn't understand through the microphone which was apparently my fault. She sent me a paper through the drawer, asked me to write my name presumable because she couldn't find my appointment due to her inability to hear. This was fine, I wrote my name and asked if she would also like the appt ID number as well, thinking it might help to locate appt. She rudely snapped back "I need the piece of paper first so I can verify your appointment" ... I understand, that's why I was offering in case it helped. She says nothing, walks away, rude pharmacist Alan then comes back and rudely walks me through the test, says I didn't swab long enough (he wasn't counting, just didn't hear me counting out loud). Again, whatever, swabbed again. He continues instructing, then says "break off end", thought he said "take off end" so I start to take the end out of vial, he interrupts rudely and I raises voice saying "I said BREAK off end". It was like he was speaking impatiently to a child. I was quiet before but at at this point I am fed up, and told him they could both stand to be more patient and courteous, some people have not had to be tested yet and this is a first. Bottom line, it was a short ten minute ordeal in total but both people I spoke to were extremely, unnecessarily rude for what could and should have been a short simple exchange. So at 5:30 I come by and then y say that it's another 20-40 minutes cause they are so busy. They only have a single pharmacist. Pretty much everything you need for a zombie apocalypse is at Rite Aid. This store would be wiped clean for goods if there ever was one...just saying. Besides the ridiculously bright, eye piercing lights that greet you on your way in, there's not much to say here. I wish they had a better selection of Kleenex...like the puffs with lotion, whatever happened to that?? I love the drive through pharmacy, it's probably the most convenient thing when you're two seconds away from unleashing holy terror into your sink and you need some meds asap. I miss the old Rite Aid, it had an adjoining diner that was actually one of the best Korean restaurants in town AND a pet store. Bad customer service. I tried to fill a prescription for a regular med I take. They didn't have it in stock and said they would order it in 2 days. I called them before I went and they said it was ready. I get there and they only had 2 pills. They apologized and said that they would order more. Next time I went, they had 4 pills. It took 4 attempts before I got all 60 pills! They apologized and said that they would stock it. Next month, I go for a refill and it is the same story again! I have transferred all my prescriptions to Albertson's on 30th. They are friendly and have great customer service and I can grocery shop while they fill my prescription in 20 minutes :-) read more
