Unfortunately, my this is where my doctor sends my prescription for pickup. Rite Aid is a dysfunctional company where the customer is never right. Rite Aid agents will mess up your order and then never even apologize for it. I honestly think that they don't care. The customer service here is horrible. read more

Rite Aid, as a retailer, tends to have some high prices on things like coffee. They have good sales. It's a good idea to go in & scope them out. They always have GOOD prices on BEER & WINE! How about that? At least this location does. Also: milk. I think they compete with the 7 Eleven across the street. Compare the milk prices, at least. Rite Aid, as a pharmacy, has bad... karma. It's usually a bit of downer. However, at this particular Rite Aid, I'd say they have had unusually good leadership (the manager). As you know, with refill authorizations (when you run out of refills,) the doctor needs to authorize a new script, as in: new refills). The doctor's office will say, yeah I'll send it to X STORE. And what happens? The person at the dr's office has a finger that pushes a different button...on the fax machine or in the computer... It happens every day to someone. It's happened to me, multiple times. These people are just overworked, in my opinion. When I called to see if an rx was ready & it wasn't but I knew the dr had authorized it, Rite Aid called my insurance to see where it was filled. It was filled somewhere else because the dr's office just didn't realize they had pushed a different button either on the computer or fax machine to send the authorization. Is this a long story? Sorry. This pharmacy went out of their way to find out where the rx was errantly filled - called that store & had the rx transferred back to them & filled it. That was amazing. Almost no one ever EVER does that - I know because I'm an RX Tech. Our excuse is that we are always very behind & have no time to fix what the doctor mis-sent, amongst all the other things we are busy fixing that would make no sense to someone on the outside who is looking in. If you are at your favorite pharmacy & the rx isn't there but your dr says they sent it, you can ask the pharmacy to call the insurance to see if it was filled elsewhere & have your pharmacy get the transfer : ) But maybe your dr's office forgot & oh well. Square one all over again. I'm sure if you ask, especially with a hopeful smile, they will oblige you. The hopeful smile will be your deal maker. I recommend this pharmacy to anyone in this neighborhood. Your other alternative is Donald/40th Safeway: a great little hidden away pharmacy & grocery store. Albertsons on 30th... maybe. I have worked there. I don't know what all the leadership is about there but some of it is not what I'd want to deal with. Alberstons has a rep for rudeness across state lines. Some Rite Aids do, also, but this one tops them all with good customer service : ) read more

Quite the frustrating experience with the pharmacy. It really seems like the staff really has no interest in being helpful or friendly.

The only thing good I have to say is that most of the pharmacists here are friendly. The techs tend to be either beaten down or just apathetic, I can't tell which. I also resent that when I have insurance and want to know how much a prescription will cost they said that the system won't tell them cost until it is filled so I have to wait 20 minutes to find out the price. They also don't have a paging or text system for people waiting on prescriptions so you just have to hang around with all the other sneezing people and look hopeful. Seems to me that a large chain like this would have the resources to do better. read more

I literally just had the WORST customer service experience at the pharmacy. I get it, it's Christmas Day, but if your employees are catatonic (at best), maybe don't open the pharmacy till the day after Xmas. The pharmacist even had the audacity to tell me that I can't just run off before completing the prompts on the keypad. I think they asked me for my last name and DOB 10 times. Horrible. read more

This store always has good discounts on seasonal items but the lines are always so long. Never enough cashier's.

They never have your prescription ready, and even if I come two hours after my scheduled pick up time, it still hasn't even been started. I recommend calling to make sure it's done, don't trust it'll be ready before you make the trip to the store. read more

I am traveling from Florida. I had written prescriptions from my Vet for one of my little dogs with bad allergies and heart trouble! I took the scripts on to Rite Aid on Echo Hollow Rd. They took my info and Lola's and then realized that the script was written wrong! It was not Prednisone like it should have been. So they called my Vet and straightened this out and filled the proper one! If they had just filled it I have no idea what could have happened! They were in contact with me and I can't say enough about the awesome customer service at this pharmacy! read more

They've been getting worse lately. We have gone here for about a decade, and they were great until the last year or so. They're slower to fill the Rx and won't contact us when there is a delay. A family member has a serious medical problem that requires a prescription to keep it in check. He submitted it, they said it would be done the next business day. No contact. He went in again the next day (he works full time, so it's not like he has a lot of time to do this), and they said, oops, it's on backorder, you should check with another pharmacy. Why didn't they tell him the first day? Or make any contact at all? Without the meds, he's in pain and his disease progresses. Nice job, Rite Aid. Time to find a new pharmacy read more

This may be the worst pharmacy in town. I haven't ever been able to pick up a prescription when I was told it would be ready. I'm always met with an excuse. I have waited over two hours after giving them two days to fill a normal prescription. I've been ignored, treated disrespectfully, and even harassed by other customers who are also waiting for indefinite amounts of time- all to no efficiency or consideration by the staff. South eugene, you seriously need to step up your pharmacy game. Hirons is terrible and so is Rite Aid. read more

This Rite Aid is a bit of a zoo, but you can't beat the prices...especially on, of all things, plants! Yes, Rite Aid has a variety of local flowers, shrubs, and herbs (the same varieties as MoC, actually) for about 1/3 of the price! This feature makes it a go-to spot for all my perennials, especially in springtime. The plant sale is coming up in May, so bookmark this place for, if nothing else, things to make your garden bright! read more

Terrible. More often than not they do not have the prescription ready when they say they would. Often Curt. Changing pharmacies today to the Christian wackos in town just because this Rite Aid fucks up our simple prescriptions more often than they get it right. They also moved very slowly saw them's and for people away to wait an hour in the span of ten minutes. How can every customer be an hour early? I showed up two hours after they said it would be ready and here I am waiting a half hour and still don't have any sign that it's going to be filled anytime soon. They all look like recent grads with no clue. They are not that rude, just not capable to run this pharmacy, apparently. I've watched fifteen customers go through the line now and not a single one had a problem free transaction. Classic Rite Aid on 29th and Willamette! Blue Ribbon for always getting it kind of wrong and not being that sorry. " at least we got one of your four prescriptions right, right?... " oh wait never mind this isn't right I'll be right back" also they couldn't even give directions to their closest other rite aid to a woman in desperate need of her inhaler. FYI just saw another customer return after an hour wait to find out that it still isn't ready ... Don't worry he made her sign up for text message alert, so I'm sure that's a good sign it will be filled within the fortnight this place sucks at filling prescriptions. Update: even worse. read more

DO NOT GET RITE-AID BRAND OF GAVISCON FOR YOUR HEARTBURN! A bottle of gaviscon costs 8.99 but in my chemistry class we did an experiment to test the effectiveness and we found that the rite aid version of tums is way better for heartburn. read more

I transferred a prescription to RiteAid from Walgreens, as they are closer to my house. It took a week to complete the transaction. When I went into the Pharmacy this morning, to pick up my Rx, they didn't open until 8:15 because the Pharmacist with the key failed to show up on time. When they opened up and I went up to the counter, the clerk just stared at me - didn't say hello, welcome, good morning, sorry for the late opening, NOTHING. I said I was there to pick up my Rx, gave her the information and I didn't get a peep out of her until I went to leave, at which time she said thank you. Not a peep at all from the late Pharmicist who just walked in and didn't take the time to at least say, sorry I was late. On the positive note, the store is bright, recently remodeled and seems to be well run. The pharmacy and staff need to know that an 8 o'clock opening time means 8 o'clock or they need to post that their opening time is 8 "ish" read more

There's always way too many people behind the pharmacy counter and you have to wonder how many people are pharmacists. I think they have a roving pharmacist policy like Walgreens or everyone works part time. It seems as if when i've gone in to pick up prescriptions that I see a different pharmacist behind the counter. This does not exactly instill confidence in my mind. The lines are at the pharmacy are so slow moving, that if there's more than 2 people in it waiting to pick up meds, you may as well go away and come back another day. It always seems chaotic when I've had to go to the pharmacy and stressful. I'm strongly thinking about taking my prescriptions somewhere else. read more

We're taught to assume that we can put our trust in those within the medical and human services industries, though I was recently proven otherwise at this specific Rite Aid location. Upon humbly inquiring about an antidote for my specific ailment, I was greeted by the Pharmacist with disdain and impatience. Did I catch him at a bad time? Perhaps something had gone terribly wrong just moments prior within the fluorescent abyss that is the Pharmacy. Maybe I was asking in the wrong manner; was more humility required? Was my face not already red enough? An additional possibility could be that he was just plain sick of being asked questions, especially by people who do their own research and self-diagnose because they're too poor to pay for any hospital bills. Regardless of any generalizations or assumptions he may have had about me as a human being (even if they were right), the treatment expelled from his face and mouth sent me spiraling into an emotional decay. The painful interaction included condescending, generalized statements that a 4 year-old would understand, packed full with pursed lips and an uninterested, assuming stare. To put it in perspective, I was treated with more sensitivity and respect by a customer service representative in the same store. He was a younger man, perhaps just out of college or still studying. I would be baffled if he had taken an communications classes based on his insensitivity and lack of respect to a humbled customer in need. Two words: Patch Adams. read more

The pharmacy is great. The head pharmacist is the nicest man ever. All of their young staff are super friendly and helpful. I need a prescription filled every month. I call it in and I can usually pick it up at the drive through window within a few hours. I don't understand all the complaints. I have nothing but praise! read more

This pharmacy - the one on 29th by MOC - is UNABLE to sync your prescriptions. No matter what they say: do not believe them. You can go in person to ask. You can call repeatedly. You can plead and beg and insist. They will tell you it will be fixed next time...and next time, your prescriptions will come in two weeks apart. It would be no big deal if they were simply HONEST and said, "No way in hell will we sync your prescriptions", but they are not. The right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. So if you get your drugs here, be prepared to make a special trip and wait in line for each and every one. read more

Avoid this pharmacy. They are extremely slow and inconveniencing. On multiple occasions I've had my prescription called in hours in advance only to find that they haven't prepared it by the time I arrive, or they have prepared it but cannot locate it. The staff are consistently unapologetic. The last time I came, there were only two people working, one of which was a trainee, who very slowly went through the motions of locating my medications, and ringing them up, only to inform me that I couldn't take them because the pharmacist had just left on lunch break (during the time she was locating my prescription), and that I would have to wait or return at another time. I was pretty urgently needing an inhaler for an asthma situation, and had to sit for 40 more minutes waiting to pick it up. read more

The customer care at this location is atrocious and should be completely avoided. They lie outright about when a prescription is ready resulting in a wasted trip and wasted time. This has happened at least a dozen times to me personally. Finally switched pharmacies and I won't be stepping into this location ever again. read more

This pharmacy is the worst! They have made we wait forever on my prescriptions and nothing ever seems to go right when I try to get them refilled. The people they have running the pharmacy need to step up their game! Working in a pharmacy should not be taken lightly and I wish that this Rite Aid would put a little effort into finding good people to hire. I have gone to this store back when it was a PayLess Pharmacy. It went downhill for me when it became Rite Aid, but I still went there as it is the only pharmacy store in South East Eugene. This year (2014) they revamped it again, and at first entering it it looked so clean and organized.My experience went downhill from there! I am paraplegic and always grab a handheld small basket to put on my lap to shop. Those have been replaced by very large hand held baskets that can be rolled if wanted. Too large and bumpy to now place on my lap. Then I find that the more "natural" items that I always bought there are no longer being carried and half the store now is stocked with food items. Shame on you Rite Aid for ruining our Southside store! You have lost a customer and from how few people were in there, I imagine that you have lost many shoppers. read more

MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE: That is the only way I can describe the Rite Aid Pharmacy. I was unfortunately referred to Rite Aid when my normal pharmacy did not have the medication needed for my sick 16 month old son. He was sick with the flu and had been described Tamiflu, which has a window in which it can be taken and still be effective. Upon arrival I provided my son's insurance information, they pulled the suspension off the shelf and then told me that they would call or text me when it was available. I pled with the tech to please have a pharmacist add the water to the suspension (which takes all of less than a minute) as my son was very sick, we had been out of the house for the past three hours at the doctors and two pharmacys and we had been without sleep for past 48 hours, not to mention there was freezing rain outside. I did not want to drag him back out of the house again in his condition. He told me that since they had 2 pharmicist working "there was a possibility it could go faster," but that they had 9 prescriptions ahead of me and they would call or text me when it was ready. Mind you the 9 scripts ahead of me were called in, there was no one waiting in person. Not to mention that they don't actually add the water to the suspension until you arrive to pick it up. It literally takes less than a minute. So I was sent away so they could fill the other 9 scripts ahead of me, only to call me back later to add the water to the suspension at that time. Take a small guess when I finally received the text message that the prescription was ready.... TODAY, Sunday, 4 days later! Entirely too late. I have had plenty of issues with this pharmacy before and have heard other's horror stories. But now I am completely incensed with the utter disregard, lack of care, horrible service, egregious acts as a pharmacy. NEVER AGAIN. They should not be allowed to be in business. If at all possible, I urge you to take your business/prescriptions elsewhere. read more

Last month i couldn't make it till the sixth , this month i get there on the first with the script also dated the first , they tell me they are keeping a quarter of my this months prescription because last month i was late . i never knew that was even possible , but they say its a special rule they keep under the counter for you know , people you know ,like me . wtf. would any diabetic put up with that .The whole reason im having trouble showing up on their schedule is my wheel chair only takes me so far now days .I called ,Their story to me is just following rules and next month if i cant get there on the 12th ill loose half my script . just being good germans ,like their real name is reich aid .They do have one real person but its care roulette , a gauntlet for our most vulnerable , when just the fumes from the voc's smell like leukemia , just to stand in line you get another cancer lottery ticket , no extra charge. read more
