Not the closest location but a location that carries what closer locations don't even stock. So is more a Supercenter than other locations mislabeled as such. On a recent visit found lots of updates to the stores appearance in clothing and Baby sections with new Lighting and Display Shelving. Aisles were more spacious and more cart accessible. This is a location that is always staffed well now that self checkout areas have been consolidated and are smaller. Something that needs to be done with Handicap Parking as over sized spaces are a waste when more spaces are what's needed more for the elderly. If I can't find it online it's a safe bet that the trip to this location will yield success of finding it. Grocery Coolers have all been updated as well will add pics from next visit soon. read more

Every time I come to this Walmart there's a new issue. The employees in the electronics section are always respectful and helpful, but the rest of the store is a nightmare. I've been followed around by secret shoppers, and one of them even got so aggressive that he almost put his hands on me over a Hot Wheels car I never stole or even touched. On another visit, I watched an employee completely ignore an elderly man asking for help. She looked at him multiple times and said nothing, then suddenly claimed she didn't speak English--until I spoke up. When her manager arrived, she was even more disrespectful than the employee. Then, at checkout, a cashier turned her light off right as I got to her lane, said it was closed, and immediately turned it back on for another customer while smirking at me. It's unprofessional, disrespectful, and shows a complete lack of customer care. The only good part of this store is the electronics department--everyone else seriously needs retraining on basic respect and customer service. read more

Another lackluster video game selection from yet another major retail chain. It really does feel like they flat out refuse to take in any more than maybe 3 copies of any video game they carry and never order more. Not only is the value games just straight gobbled up, but it appears they are clearing out the X-Box inventory of games for a future change in layout, which I suspect is their ever-growing "collectibles" nonsense. It wasn't without a victory though. MySims Cozy Bundle and Epic Mickey were in stock and got myself a few copies. read more

Just purchased six Yoplait Oui yogurts along with my regular groceries. This Walmart has been notorious for years of leaving expired items on the shelves after their expiration date for both shelf stable, refrigerated, frozen items and fresh meat. It takes 15 minutes longer to check every date on every item to see if they have replaced the expired items. Finding the black expiration an a dark background or at all takes quite the effort and a magnifying glass. I submit that on a typical shopping trip, I will find at least two items 2-6 weeks expired, especially refrigerated and frozen items. Today, two of the yogurts that slipped through to me had expiration dates of 12/16/24. The date today is 08/10/25. I found six others also expired that I turned upside down and placed in another yogurt section. Assuming a reasonable, prudent employee and/or store manager would find them out of place and dispose of the expired products properly. As I have mentioned, I cannot complete a single shopping tree per week where at least two items are expired and yet they continue to be stocked. I'm not sure if laziness or trying to get the last nickel selling expired goods is the Arvada Walmart's goal here? I have complained to corporate Walmart and the store manager directly over the years with no interest or resolution from them. I dare anyone to go to this Walmart with their shopping list and play Expired Bingo with your shopping cart. The trifecta is locating an expired items in staples, frozen and refrigerated goods. Bonus points for expired fresh meat and the grand prize for a full year expiration! If you do go, stay away from the yogurt section because the six yogurts I found, along with their siblings will have been put back for your personal consumption and food poisoning. read more

God I love this place...so much selection....great selection. They got all the junk food...check They have healthy food....nice produce selection ....at reasonable prices...check. This is our local Walmart, and while it doesn't always have the best selection of products, they've got really helpful and kind staff! "Short hair" Christian was instrumental in helping us get a new phone set up after struggling at multiple other places. He had such an extensive knowledge of the subject and walked us through all of the options to get the best deal. He was super personable and helpful! Overall such a comfortable experience and we left feeling like someone really cared about how our day was going. :) read more

Wow lol so ever since Walmart changed their grocery app I've experienced a few times my curbside orders are sent to different locations (I usually use 72nd and Sheridan, but it's been sent to 92nd and Sheridan plus today at the Ralston location.) Obviously that isn't this specific locations fault, but I figured a little backstory would set the mood. I know THIS location has offered IN STORE pick up, but not curbside in the past. So, seeing on my app my "curbside" pick up was for THIS location, I decided to call before heading that way just to make sure I was going to the correct area (curbside area if it existed lol or just plan on going inside to pick up my order). Well, whoever the Ray Of Sunshine answering Pick Up calls today 10/22/2021 around 10:40am was just a PEACH. I like to think I'm pretty pleasant on the phone, so when she confirmed this location DOES in fact offer curbside pick up, I said "thank you so much for clearing up my confusion!" and I get "yeah. bye." *click*. To this woman, I'm sorry you're obviously in a shitty mood, but I'd recommend steering clear of answering phones or communicating with the public altogether until your poor attitude can be dislodged. Clearly I wouldn't give this location 3 stars based solely on this ONE person, but this isn't the first time associates at this location have been less than savory. I understand people are human, we all have bad days, we all have bad moods from time to time. That being said, even if you're having a bad day, that's not MY fault. That's not another customers fault who hasn't even conversed with you until you're in the throes of your pissy attitude. Carts are disgusting. Employees don't care. Three visit in a row this has been the case. Recently I watched an elderly gentleman struggle taking two carts apart while three employees? lurked unhelpfully looking their phones. I noticed how dirty the carts were and the used wipes still left in them. From the number of carts with used wipes, the whole scene made me feel off put and apprehensive for choosing to come here during covid times. These guys were of no assistance to anybody. The customers were trying to social distance while cleaning their own carts and pry them apart . Who is managing this location? I guarantee The Walmart Headquarters would not approve of managers allowing this kind of behavior. One star because three times I have come to this location and there are these three employees that are always lurking in the very back of the cart storage. They are always huddled together looking at cell phones. It left me thinking I can go to Target where they are Covid compliant, clean and stage an area for pre-cleaned carts. The carts were out in random parking stalls , no "sanitized carts staged area" Employees that don't care about any of it. Three strikes and target wins. This isn't a matter of being short handed. These guys are they are getting paid while hiding back there while the super spreading numbers go up. So I arrived after the auto center closed. I saw 2 workers outside so i asked was they open on Sunday & if they patched tires & apoligized knowing they was off the clock. Customer service shout out: this was the third Walmart I called hoping they would have my daughter's broken toy in stock. The guy I spoke with checked the toy section for the right toy and color and confirmed they have two. He was willing to take it to the customer service desk for me so I can run in and quickly grab it rather than go to the back of the store and then to the front again to check out. When I got there it was at the customer service desk visible so I could request it without having to wait in the customer service line. I was able to quickly check out through the self-pay kiosks and total time in the store was five minutes. This is an extremely popular Walmart even during the middle of a weekday. Perhaps they could use more staff but I wanted to leave a favorable review because I appreciate how this location helped me out. read more

This Walmart is the least customer friendly location to shop. Was there today shopping as it was closer than King Soopers, what a mistake They are concerned with theft as when you leave you are stopped by the door guards minus the uniforms, and make you feel as if you and the others leaving have committed a crime. What makes it worse, I was buying a laundry detergent and another customer came up and asked me about the detergent, I was more than happy to acknowledge her and help, and I don't work there Do you think any employee acknowledged or said hello, no but the cashier was very pleasant It's unfortunate that Walmart does not understand a thief is not waiting in line to be bag checked they are running out the door Maybe if they greeted as you entered and a knowledge when you shop they would know basis principles thieves do not want to be seen. I went in to Walmart on Ralston Road to pick up prescriptions. Decided to buy some toothpaste, mouthwash and lotion. I couldn't tell what the price was on the mouthwash. I called to a sales associate standing a little ways from me, I said maam, she ignored me, two times, than my voice got louder the third time. I really felt she was ignoring me. She gave me this mean look, and was very rude to me. I tried to explain why my voice got louder, she told me she is deaf in one ear, and proceeded to argue with me while I was trying to explain, when she told me that the price was right there in front of me. I told her I was the customer and she shouldn't argue with me, she said "I will argue with whoever I want. Her name is Theresa. I told her i was going to report her and she said go right ahead. I did call a manager over and Theresa lied to the manager. The manager was all but maybe 22 and looked tired. She didn't say one word to me. No apology. I use to spend hundreds of dollars a month at Walmart, but not anymore. I shop at King Soopers and Target now. read more

I bought an HD camera for my girlfriend a few weeks ago and it was poor quality. I bought it online with the Walmart app. I processed the return and printed the confirmation and it said return to ANY Walmart. I went to the Walmart on 9400 W 58th Ave Arvada Colorado and was greeted by a female worker who acted like she hated her job. She said she had never done a return like mine before, looked at the box puzzled and then just said she can't do the return. I asked for a manager as my return paperwork says return to any Walmart. The customer service girl rudely said she would get a manager but it won't change anything. The old lady manger Robin came over and didn't even look at my paperwork or receipt and very coldly said she wouldn't return it. She was extremely rude and could care less that Walmart was wasting my time and gas. She said "go to another Walmart" also wouldn't confirm if the other Walmart would refuse my return as well. I was a retail store manager for 13 years I know they could have returned this item. Now as a small business owner I will be taking my business to Staples. I have bought all of my electronics and office supplies from Walmart since I bought my business. I will never give your company another penny. Fix your online return slips to tell you where you can actually do a return and properly and train your employees. Robin should be nowhere near a customer. Attached is my return slip. I come here all the time but after today I will not be back. The checkout lady was beyond rude!! Her name was Latvia. There were 3 checkout lanes open so we picked the middle one. We were waiting in line for 10 minutes and finally we were up next. Then she says excuse me but I am closed. I then asked why she didn't have her sign up or why she hadn't said anything before hand and she then pointed up to her light and rolled her eyes since her light apparently had been off the whole time we were waiting. I said ok this was very inconvenient for me and started to walk away when she randomly turns her light back on. I felt like I was in a twilight zone. Not once did she ever give me an apology. I like this Walmart, it's clean and usually well taken care of. The employees are kind and helpful. But I've had two strange experiences with teenage members of their staff. One early morning, I went to buy things for an afternoon gathering, including a 4 pack of wine coolers. Apparently it was too early and the self checkout wouldn't let me purchase it, which I was fine with. But as the young man was taking them back to reshelf, he looked right at my 3 year old daughter and said, your mommy wants to get drunk right now but can't. I was humiliated!! I'm a cancer survivor with one kidney, I barely drink. Another time, quite recently, the self checkout line didn't like my card. The young girl instructed me to swipe my card about 1000 times more. I repeatedly asked to move to another kiosk as I could hear the people behind me getting irritated. Finally I told her, this kiosk isn't working. And she finally took me to the main kiosk and rang me up without an issue. Walmart really needs to reevaluate the training of their younger employees. I do not enjoy being at the mercy of a teenager. read more

Been here several times in the last two months. Everybody is always dissing Walmart and , let's face it, some of the comments photos etc are deserved and hilarious. I think this Walmart is different. This Walmart is not open late, and I only come early in the day. So I don't know how that affects my experience.but here is my experience: Every time I come, I am greeted. Employees made sure social distancing is possible and it's easy to get in. The store is super spacious and there are not too many crowd points. Almost all the customers are polite. I am not getting run over like happens with some "classy" customers at Costco or other places. Most of the customers are wearing masks. I appreciate the staff at any grocery store. They are amazing, and they are risking a lot by being there. The staff here is awesome. Constantly asking if I need help. They mean it. They actually do help if I say I need the help. And they are always working to stock shelves, move merchandise. I am thinking this cannot be all the stores of this or any chain. The pride is there and it's coming from somewhere. Went there to get an annual state park pass. 7:15 pm and no one to be found in the sporting goods. Had an associate in electronics page someone to help me in sporting goods. No response. Called the store and was put on hold while they paged for someone in sporting goods to pick up the line. No response. The operator paged about 3 times over the next 10 minutes while I waited. I finally gave up. The sign at the sporting goods couter says you can buy guns until 9 pm at the department. I guess that doesn't apply to annual parks passes. Poor location compared to the 2 shut down to accommodate this tight, sad shopping experience. The interior and lay out of this "new" Arvada store will drive my shopping to the better Broomfield store, even though it is more of a drive. Also, the greedy Mayor of Arvada arranged with this new Arvada Walmart to charge consumers of this location a 3 % PIF TAX, which is paid to the city on every transaction. This is why the parking lot and surrounding property is better than the inside of the store!!!!! read more
